Me too Nothing else is protocol approved with the exception of the gum and you cannot have mint if you are using the homeopathic. That plus the fact that I don't chew gum means no gum for me!!

Salsa would be a no because at the very least, you're combining 2 veggies (tomato and onion), at the most jarred salsas may contain sugar and hidden calories.

Turkey is a no because as it states in Pounds and Inches "Chicken breast does not mean the breast of any other fowl, nor does it mean a wing or drumstick."

Yes the salsa makes sense. i will just make my own with tomato onion and cilantro.

I combine veggies right now, so far its working and im losing 2lbs a day. If I stall I won't do that any longer.

As far as the turkey I know what the book says but I just don't see how it is any worse than ground beef. I ate ground turkey tonight and salsa, if I don't lose tomorrow ive learned my lesson... the hard way. Live and learn right?

Salsa: yes but no other fruit or veggies for the day. I always use sugar free salsa

Noodles: No. I am not a noodle person at all.

Gum: Occasional

Turkey & Coconut oil: Nope. Not on p2.

Vanilla Stevia: oh yeah! I actually use the sweetleaf drops.

Live and learn. . .and keep a food log. It can help identify if anything else stalls you. That's how I found out about cabbage and oranges stalling me.

I just wanted to chime in and say i don't use any of those except for the vanilla Stevia.

Salsa--yes, IF it has NO sugar or other additives. I justified it because the ingredients were all on Simeons list, and could count it as one of my veggie servings.
SF gum, no--it has chemicals to make it sweet. May not do any harm, but MIGHT slow down loss, too. Why chance it?
Ground Turkey--not on Simeon's list, so I steered clear. Again, may not hurt, but.....
coconut oil--no. But others have used it w/ no problem.
Stevia-YES--it's on Simeon's list
miracle noodles--not until P3.

This plan is soooo specific and the choices are narrow. BUT IT WORKS if you follow it exactly. It is the ONLY plan that I know of that does exactly what it says it will do IF you follow ALL of the guidelines. Some folks have done really well w/ various "rogue" additions and subtractions, and ultimately you just have to find what works AND what you can tolerate!

Good luck!

Kay

miracle noodles are like NoOdles right? they are made from yam which is no sugar, no starch, no gluten, no anything. they really have nothing at all in them so I would maybe try them if you were to shake some balsamic or apple cider vinegar on them. it wouldn't be following protocol, but I don't think they are real noodles. Sea Kelp aka Sea Tangle noodles would probably also be ok to try, as they are made from kelp/seaweed which is a sea vegetable. also not a real pasta.

Yes to the sugarfree gum and salsa, not sure about the rest. Don't think the turkey would be bad. I used fattier ground meats all the time.

I never use VCO, so I can't touch that one. Never tried vanilla stevia, but that should be ok. Never had miracle noodles, either.

Hope that helps somewhat!

I use the low fat cottage cheese a lot on protocol. I love it!! Don't do the fat free though--yuck. I think it has so many fillers that it is best to go with 2%. I lose just fine using it. I also use the eggs he says we can switch out and they are awesome too!
