Having Vision Issues

I am experiencing vision problems. I noticed this during R1, the 3rd week. When I wake up in the morning my vision is like NEON, except sorta in black and white. With it, I seem to be super-sensitive to light. If I turn on a light, I get "shadows" on everything. It goes away in about 45 min to an hour, but it is starting to weird me out.

I am taking all sorts of supplements & vitamins, so I don't think it is a lack of these. It did go away when I went from P2 to P3, and has now come back since I am again in P2. It has appeared almost immediately, though. I am Diabetic, and am already worried about problems with vision, but I don't want to stop HCG.

I had the weakness nurseypoo has posted about on other threads, as well as severe dizzyness. These seemed to decrease with an omlet in the moring and more potassium. The vision is still giving me problems.

Any one else experiencing anything like this?

I had it among other things in P2, so I upped magnesium and potassium to very high levels 4500 mag and 2500 pot and even slightly more some days. Im in P3 now and no problems what so ever since I stabilized. Though Im blind as a bat without glasses so Im kinda used to not see especialy in the mornings, and no diabetic issues either.

Are you on RX or homeopathic? That is pretty scarey. As much as I need to lose weight, I would not want to risk damage to my vision. Could you keep us updated as to what happens?

Yeah, I'm a little concerned. I am using homeopathic pellets, Intermountain brand. I used them for both R1 & now in R2. Because I am concerned, I am going to a 5 day P2, 2 day P3 week, in the hopes that will help correct this problem, as this weird side effect goes away when I eat normal cals, even if it is LC. I have also noticed that I usualy WOOSH enormously the first 3 days of P2. I hope this "restart" of HCG will boost that loss each week.

Even if I still only lose the normal amount of a regular P2, I am hoping that this will quiet my vision problems.

Will keep everone updated on this. Thanks!

Stampe, yup, my vision problem disappeared in P3 as well, but it's back now. When you upped your Magnesium and potassium, did your vision correct, or at least lessen? Was there a direct response to them?

Sounds like your vision is as bad as mine! My poor kitties, when mama gets up in the morning without her glasses, they get stepped on! I can't see a thing!

I don't know if this is the same thing, but I always am super sensitive to light (and sunburn easily), and it gets worse on a round. Eating eggs more often helps - the lutein is in the yolk, or a lutein supplement might help.

But if your issues are severe...see a doctor...

I wouldn't fool around. I'd go to a general practitioner or an eye specialist right away.

I'd see an opthamalogist also. You could have some kind of underlying issue that seems to coincide but may have nothing to do with the diet. I'd at least rule out that much. I do get more light sensitivity on the diet due to less protein, I think, and a few more migraines as a result. As soon as I bring up my protein levels, hardly a problem. BUT yours doesn't sound like that.
