The nausea will get better don't worry. I was so sick my first round I thought I would never want to eat again. No such luck.

I am NOT liking this round mentally and I am up 0.4 this morning. I am still down into my new decade, but barely. I can't wait for P3. I am over this P2! Other than *that*...all is well...

Up a little today but not a big surprise after the losses of the last few days. Plus yesterday I completely forgot not one, but TWO of my thyroid/adrenal med doses!!! I canNOT seem to keep up with those on the weekends! Oh, well, it's not "real" weight and it will be off soon enough.

Boo... I was bad last night, after being soo good all day, plenty of exercise and mostly after the "family" dinner fell into a grilled cheese??? and a klondike bar... UGH!! Up 3 pounds... (hanging my head is shame), I have been spot on no cheats...where the heck did that come from??? I hope most of that is water!!! And gone in a few days, but as usual a bit of self sabatoge for me!! Sounds like the losses are slim this morning, but mine is self induced. Good luck to the rest of you still to weigh in!!

Hi everyone! I've been MIA this past weekend. Just took some time off from the world.

I need to read everyone's posts and get caught up. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! I miss my mom-but know that I will see her again some day.

The good news is, I hit a "new" number (well new in the past 6 years! ). Round 1 was wonderful; Round 2 was weird; Round 3 is going well so far!

I need to get to work so I'll catch up on posts and write more later.

Oh man oh man, I totally can't believe so many are up. Okay please do NOT hate me but it makes me feel a little better. I was really REALLY bummed out when I was up 0.4 the other day and I felt like it was just me, even though Shelby encouraged me and told me it happens. I'm so sorry you guys are up and I am sending "whoosh" dust to everyone.

I was up 0.4 on Saturday and then down 0.4 on Sunday and then only down 0.2 today. I'm on VLCD21 and this morning was my last injection. Okay so questions to make sure I do everything right. I stay 500 today obviously and then 500 calories tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday and then officially in P3 on Friday? However, if I'm starving, I can have 2 eggs Thursday morning. Is that right?

I'm also wondering everyone's experience with their last 3 days not on injections. Were they super hard or just not that much different than the other days? Now I need to read up on P3 foods and stuff.

Bjorn - How's the dizziness? Mind if I ask what all is in your garden? I read you were gardening? I'd love one but here in AZ, the heat and soil is just too much and it takes someone who really knows what they are doing to grow things out here. Haha

Shelby - I saw in another post that you are 5'9". When I would look at your stats, I would "dream" they were mine and always wondered how tall you were. I'm a smidge over 5'8" and I'd be so happy just to be where I was 3 years ago at 172. I have decent muscle and a long waist so I look pretty decent at that weight. I can't imagine being 165 and then now you changed your stats and are at 156. Wow! So impressive! I feel like 156 would be so out of my reach that I don't even have it as a goal. Maybe I'd feel different after R2. Anyway, I just wanted to say right on and great job and you're a little bit of a role model for me.

Peggy - Hang in there. Just a little bit longer until P3!!

You will be on P3 Thursday morning, not Friday morning, if your last injection was this morning! I was fine for those 3 days, actual physical hunger. My mind was working overtime for the "thought" of food.. but not really hungry, dizzy any of that really. I am jealously watching! I will probably need to do a bit longer now since I fudged up yesterday and set myself back a couple of days! BOO!! LOL, but if I can maybe get to goal this round, I think I should give it my all!! Great job and good luck with P3 planning!!

Aw thanks, but I'm not there for a couple more days so no reason to be envious yet.

Okay so I need to brush up on reading but since you are here, mind if I ask a couple more questions? Basically do I take today's weight as my "last injection weight" to base my P3 weight? Aren't I going to lose though these next 3 days since the hcg will still be in my system and I'm on VLCD?

What is a good site to go to so I can find out how many calories I should be eating for my height and weight?

I dream about P3 as soon as I am on day 1 of VLCD!! LOL
Yes, if today is your last injection (this morning) then this morning's weight is your LIW to base your weight on for 2 lbs in P3/P4. Most people do not lose during those 3 days, but a few do... but if they do, they generally come back up when they eat in P3..

Go to google and find like 3 or 4 BMR calculators, and use the average. you have to "calculate" for your activity level too, sedate, light activity, moderate, etc.. to determine your calories..

I'm back on VLCD this morning after my interrupt, which was just exactly 14 days, so no re-loading for me. I was up 8.4 pounds total in that time period! ACK! No sleep, no water, many days off schedule, even eating pretty clean p3 the whole time, except alcohol, maybe a little sugar in a sauce or two that weren't of my own making, a tiny bit of vegetable/legume starch with foods not of my making, and SF products that usually make me gain. Obviously have an issue there somewhere. I took some meds that typically make me retain a few pounds but still - 8.4?

So I am back on the sauce again and hoping to re-lose back to my ending weight and go a few pounds further if possible in order to give a little cush. I have never gained this much on an interrupt before. Not even close.

Last 3 days were fine--no better or worse than any other days on P2 as far as hunger went. I think in round 1 I added about an extra ounce of protein on my second day off the drops.

TM - I had a setpoint at 172 myself and just wanted to get past it. I originally had 160 as a goal for myself but lowered it after round 1 was so awesome. I actually had re-set 160 as a mini goal for this round but blew past that too! HCG makes it easy to dream...

I just posted this on another thread about BMR and how many calories...
So this is where the BMR gets confusing! BMR is actually the number of calories you would burn if you were comatose or sleeping all day. To get to your target calories, you need to multiply your BMR by 1.2 for sedentary, 1.375 for light exercise 1-3 days per week, 1.55 for moderate exercise 3-5 days per weeks, 1.75 for moderate to heavy exercise 6-7 days per week, and 1.9 for marathon or competition training or 2x per day exercise. I googled "BMR calculator" and used the first one that came up. Pick your activity level and multiply it. Be advised that my BMRx came out to be a max of 2450 calories but I found that I needed to eat MORE than that to maintain.

On the losing weight in those last days, as CatJ said some do and it's just additional "cushion" for when you start P3. For example, if your LDW/LIW is 175 but you go down to 173 in the last two days, then you can essentially gain 4 pounds before doing a CD.

This thread moves fast!!

I am down 1.2 today! Yay for me! I might get under 210 before the 21 days are up. I put on a pair of capri's this morning that were tight last summer and they were almost loose! I have no idea what I weighed last summer. I could not confront getting on the scale as I knew I was packing on the pounds. I probably haven't been under 210 in about 2 and 1/2 years so that's a good milestone.



Congrats to the losers and hang in theres to the losers to be for tomorrow..

All that was very helpful. That sounds so CRAZY about having to eat more than 2450. I definitely need to register at ****** and start keeping track! Let's see what round 2 brings and while I might be happy getting to my previous setpoint that was jacked up from my thyroid taking a dive, maybe, just maybe, I'll want to do a round 3 to see if I can lower it. Right now, I admit I am chicken.

Hmmm. . I wonder if chasing around 2.5 year-old twins constitutes moderate exercise? LOL!

Maintanace goes good so far, dipping .2 to .4 up and down on its own. I never went over 2000kcal a day so far I just cant or I get sick, at lesat if I going to drink the amount of water that I still do

I can't remember the scratching head icon so I'll just use this one... ? Up a total of 1.4 pounds in the last two days despite being strictly on protocol and drinking plenty of water. Trying to be calm about it all (it's not real weight after all!) but frustrating to say the least. I wanted to hit 150 this round but at this point I'll be lucky to see 155! Anyway, just venting a little. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow. This just tends to make me feel stubborn anyways...

Morning ladies, sounds like some good and some bad this morning..

Shelby, I am sure it will drop right off tomorrow, chin up!

Peggy, way to hang tough....almost P3 times!!

I was only down 1 lb of the 3 I went up, so still up 2!! Boo! I hope the rest of it goes away tomorrow! Teach me wont it... shut your big mouth and do not put food in there!! My tummy is still upset too! What an idgit I am !

ok need some expert advice quick!

I am UP .2 this morning after VLCD1 restart Round 5 - I did pure VLCD and plenty of water yesterday after my 14 day break.... what the heck? Should I have reloaded anyway since I was on the line as far as length of interrupt? Makes me think I should've at least gotten some pot stickers out of the deal if I was going to gain 8.4 pounds plus not lose after VLCD1? (which is really like, day 24 if you count prior to restart).

Advice? Comments?

I did take flexiril which I know makes me hold onto water, I haven't had a visit from Berniece in awhile, but still - NO loss? in fact a gain? I could've done a steak day and lost or a Greek Yogurt day and lost....

What would you do? Shelby, Cathy, Peggy? any others?

Keep on keeping on. Come on C'Marie....you are a vet!! You know the deal. Some days you lose some you don't. You did a great VLCD#1 and it will come down. Try a mini steak day today if you want. Just make it 7 oz steak and a tomato and that counts as being on plan. You say you took meds which make you retain water so that is what it is--just water. It will flush out soon enough.
