My lunch was very, very boring. I'm not going to be very creative for my first round, I want to do it by the book to see the results, and when I do another round I will adjust accordingly I think. I wish I could have some diet Vernor's. It's funny, I wasn't hungry before lunch, but after I ate it, I am hungry! I think my stomach is saying, "What the heck? Is that IT???"

had an absolute horrid day at work. i was reduced to tears just from stress...and i was pretty hungry all day. headache is just now going away but it took 4 excedrin.
im adjusting to 6 drops 6 times a day... i also feel very strange. tired, like shivery...not cold but shivery in waves. im going to take some more potassium and be sure to take it 3x a day. i'm not doing the breadstick, and i put all my food into my fitness pal.com and i never eat 500 calories. im always high 300 or low 400. is that wrong? i know i shouldn't eat more fruit and its pretty strict about the 3.5 ounces. i surely can't eat 100 calories worth of steamed spinach! i just wanna feel good.

Missy, have you ever done Atkins? The first few days on 20 carbs or less is absolute TORTURE as your body detoxes from all the carbs you have put into it. That is my comparison, and I am SO glad I don't feel that way on hcg! I couldn't bear feeling THAT crappy AND eating so restrictively! Having said that, although I am new to hcg I can only assume (and hope, and pray) that the overall poopy feeling passes. I know it does on Atkins.

Girl Im an Atkins ExPERT...I lost 100 pounds in the past... alot of it was atkins. so yes i do know the induction flu. this really doesn't feel the same. I think i need to make sure im getting my full 500 calories...i was cutting out the breadsticks and im just really hungry...plus i probably should have been taking potassium all along.

I don't eat the breadsticks either but I am usually between 450 and 500. I weigh my fruit to make sure I am getting ~200g (7oz) for each fruit portion. I also weigh my veggies and have 1 100g portion and 1 200g portion. It's a lot of veggies but I honestly prefer them to the breadsticks.

ok so no real loss today... just .1...but it makes my loss an even 8 pounds today is VLCD5-- after the stress of yesterday Im just glad i didnt cave in. i was a blubbering mess yesterday. I decided to save my fruit last night for right before bed...i was still super hungry like i was saying. so i ate it and i was able to fall asleep fairly ok. still a little tossing and turning...
Mentally i feel better today so far. I decided to take drops 6x6 today and see if it helps me tonight. |

to you sweetie! Rough days are tough on this plan! I hear you on the Atkins paranoia! I think 200g of strawberries is only like 65 calories or something and its 7 or 8 big ones. |

WEll obviously something happens to me around the time i leave for work. I dont know if getting in my car is a mental trigger--because i've done alot of eating CRAP in my car. Drive thru's see me coming and have it ready before i order. But i started crying on the way home because im craving mexican food so bad...literally crying.
i don't know how to adjust for this anymore. i am taking drops 6x a day starting today...so i'd had 3 doses by 3;30. im sitting here now just gagging at the thought of eating chicken or fish or anything other than an enchilada and chips and salsa. sigh... I just don't know....im definitely very down right now. i'm like a seesaw...fine all day...feeeling good...then BOOM. |

So sorry you're feeling so cruddy!
This seems to be primarily mental. A couple of things I can think to do...First, make a big batch of beef and cabbage for dinner with cumin, chili powder, cayenne, and hot sauce. It's not an enchilada but it has that Mexican flavor. Second, try eating something right before getting in your car. Save half a portion of fruit or something...anything to keep your hands and mouth busy on the way home. Third, try taking a different way home if you can. Sometimes the routine reminds us of stuff and we shouldn't go there--not on hcg! Fourth, think HARD about how you would feel tomorrow if you see the scale go UP 5 pounds. Seriously, think about it hard then ask yourself if an enchilada is really worth staying at the weight you are now. And keep us posted...we care! ![]() |

Thank you Shelby. I did make the beef chili and added tons of cumin and chili powder...it was as close as i could get...and it was pretty good. i feel alot better now.
i was thinking too i might use the breadsticks to eat on the way home since to me they are something i haven't eaten at all. i only live 5 minutes away! its really just a mental thing ur right. i wanna pull into the drive thru...not deal with making dinner...just stupid comfort food. comfort food that makes me sick and miserable. |

I hear you. The hardest part of my day is the drive home where I used to go through drive-thrus to get dinner... and those dang billboards! Ugh!!!!! It's not so bad anymore, but it can still be a trigger for the pity-party! I haven't ever broken protocol to do it but I still see the billboards! |

Gooooooo Missy!
![]() I have not eaten dinner myself. I forgot to take my drops around lunch time and did not take them until about 4pm. I don't know if that is why, but I am just not hungry. I am going to make my husband his darn cheeseburger and then I am gonna make some shrimp and tomato with cilantro, lemon juice, salt and pepper. I needed a break from that chicken. I'm gonna start clucking any minute now if I don't get a break. ![]() |

not good...i caved. i only gained 1/2 a pound, but i'm seriously thinking i should lose some weight on atkins before i try to do this. this requires a mental fortitude i just don't think i have yet. i have soooo much to lose.
Thx for checking on me...i will let you know what i decide. |
