For those who have met their goal... have you thought about going lower?
Back when I did LC and lost the weight 7 years ago, I was quite content at 130.
Being 5'0", I am not skin and bones but around a size 8/10 which I am happy with. However, I wonder if I lost another 10, that the flabbiness would go away. I just keep thinking that I should be skinnier. Why aren't I content at 130 now? Do you have these feelings now that you've reached goal? |

First off, CONGRATULATIONS on meeting your goal!!!
Only you can decide if you are happy where you are, and if your weight is still too high, or not. I adjusted my goal down after meeting the original one, Donna. You and I are the same height -- 5'0" -- and my original goal was 110. I wasn't quite done when I got there, so I adjusted it to 105. I met that... and although I am quite happy with my overall size, I am still pretty loose and jiggly. Bear in mind, I have a teeny, tiny frame... and I am in no way suggesting that your weight and mine should be comparable... just that I understand how much difference even a few lbs makes on a short body I am actually doing a short third (abd last) cycle of "p2-ish," with the goal of toning/reshaping rather than pound loss. I haven't seen a lot of tightening up on my periods of p3, but in p2, I do... not sure if it is the drops, maybe? I'll let you know if this works. I am doing the same modified protocol that I did last time... higher protein, low/non fat dairy, etc. It worked well for me. I am exercising regulalry, and definitely gaining fitness and strength. If it looks like all I am doing is losing more weight, and not getting the toning I am hoping for, I will abort mission and move to p3 anyhow.

I've never been caught up on actual weight number, but more concerned about how I look in my clothes, but this protocol makes you become very scale number conscious - I was never like that prior... From the start, I did promise myself is that I would let hcg determine what my final weight should be. It is one of the benefits to doing this protocol, the fact that it will not take anything but abnormal fat, and leave you at the scale weight that is right for you.
Quite frankly I hadnt seen my goal weight in so long I was unsure how it would look/fit on me, so didn't want to commit to a number. I had a vague goal number in mind but wondered if I'd have 5-10lbs left to lose after that. I finally got to my that number and realized that hcg reshapes me differently, so the body I had in mind at a certain weight isn't necessarily what I got when I reached goal (bit frustrating). Meaning what 130 looks like on low cal/lowfat may look different from an hcg 130. So I decided that indeed I wanted to lose more. Currently, I'm about 2-5lbs away from my new 'mental' goal scale number. but when I look how my body wanted to stabilize 3lbs above my LIW when I went into P3 and now after that P3 interruption I went back to P2 and am currently stalled (8 days), plus haven't really had any significant losses, I'm preparing to accept that hcg may have determined the weight I'm supposed to be at and will just have to accept that it is higher / fits differently than I would've liked and expected. Still grateful though, as I know it's healthy plus my 'skinny' jeans fit. What I don't like is that in the past I have been at a higher weight but with lower (hip) measurements , I just hope that Callanetics will eventually take care of that.

I have adjusted my goal weight lower. I find that my body would love to be 120, me however? 115. I keep re-doing rounds just to stay closer to the 115. I have a range of 115-120 once I reach goal. The 2 lb window is so hard to keep to, so I have thought of where I want to not be above once done. For me, that number is 120. I don't want to see any number above that. My "old adult weight" that I used to be able to maintain with some ease was 133. I am finding that 120 after doing the hcg is easier to maintain. I say go for it!!! With what Simeon's says....totally doable!!! Just make sure to follow the plan and you can stay with it!!

I was 139 this morn. I'm 5'7" and have a small frame through the arms and legs, but a deep ribcage (gallbladder surgeon informed me 20 years ago when he had to go digging for stones in my abdomen lol) and wide hipbones. I wear 8/10, more toward 10's now.
When I weighed 130ish, I was still a size 8. I'm also older (53) and this round has not been kind to my already loose skin. So no, I'm happy being a size 10 than 8 right now, but if I had young skin I might go for 130...

This is what I'm currently debating w. myself. I originally dreamed of seeing the 150's, hoping to get to 159. I got there (thanks to hhcg). I realized I was still lightly padded and wanted to go lower. I'm currently shooting for 140lbs and expect to maintain at or below 145lbs.
I weighed around 140lbs in 6th grade. I never imagined I'd be able to get that low before finding hcg. Now, it may actually become a reality. I lost about 100lbs 8 years ago on Atkins, but couldn't get lower than a 12 or 14. I was thrilled to even BE a 14 when I was first losing weight I wasn't upset that I couldn't get lower. My issues now are deciding what is skin and what is fat? I have a LOT of skin, and now think I may be making the saggy skin worse by losing more. I'd love a flat belly after all the work, but when I take a minute to look at the big picture I am thrilled w. where I am!! I wear anywhere from a size 4 up to a Jr's 11. I'm most comfy in my 6's although they're getting baggy. I never imagined I'd be this size, and yet still am trying to lose more. I hope 140 will be my magic number and I can finally be DONE losing weight for life!!

Can I ask another question please?
When you were nearing goal, did your hunger and energy feel different? Yesterday, I started new drops. I work out every day, while listening to my body in terms of how long and how strenuous. Usually much lighter resistance, and only about 20 minutes. In the afternoon, I suddenly became VERY hungry, and it continued until I went to bed. I don't know if I have finally hit my goal, or if the new drops aren't working properly. It's making me nuts!! My original goal was 140. Very small frame. I figured I'd just give this round my all, while exercising, shooting for 135 and if that was too small, my body would tell me. I'm at 137.8. Now I don't know if it's the new bottle of drops, or if I have just hit a wall with losing. Tomorrow is my last dosing day. This morning at the gym, I had very little stamina. Had to go easier on resistance, had to drop down the weights on the weight machines. Finally just left way early. I wish I could figure out if this is the drops or my body saying it's done. Any thoughts? How did your body, stamina, hunger level feel when you hit goal? Thanks for any help. ~Red~ |

I'm not quite to goal, but have finished w. hcg (for now). I'm maintaining around 148lbs and now that I'm done w. losing I feel great. Plenty of energy and minimal hunger. On the hcg part, toward the end of my round, I was getting a bit hungrier. But not like you're describing. Maybe you need to adjust your dose as you're getting smaller? Just a thought!!
The stamina is very common. My first round I went to be early nearly every night, and by the end I was miserable, exhausted all the time. If you're still dragging yourself to the gym, I'm impressed! I do get "depleted" when my body's done w/ losing. Sounds like your body may be saying that too? Finish well!! ![]() |

Hi Julie,
I did stop dosing - this morning was my last dose. 137.something. (can't remember exactly if it was 6 or 8) Anyway - I just ate today - probably about double the amount of P2 foods I'm allowed. And tonight I finally feel better. I mean, I was STARVING. I may never know if it was because the drops were bad, or I ran into a wall, but this weight is fine for me to call goal for now. I am expecting a pound gain in the morning - but I also expect to feel more in control. (I was SERIOUSLY out of control! - I would have mugged for food!). Everything is a trade off - and today everything in me was telling me that eating was more important than my goal. So the dosing is done, I have my LDW from this morning, and life goes on. Whew - this was a HARD round! Thank you for your support everyone! ~Red~ |

Red--when I did reach my goal 2 summers ago I never experienced what you describe. I even went lower than my original 115. Got so low as 113. I never got tired, weak or hungry. That just indicated to me that I had more abnormal fat to lose, if I so chose. I decided I wanted to stop and did. My goal was 115 and I did it!!!! Of course now I would love to be back there. One day at a time......one day at a time.
Congratulations!!!! You finished a very hard round!!! Now you are done!! |

I reached my goal (130# at 5'7") with my second round - maintaining now (P4) - and also debating whether to go for another round (I weighed 125# when a young adult - am now 67 yo). I comfortably wear a size 6, have a few size 4s.
However, my belly still bothers me - and I'm not sure if it's simply lack of muscle tone or if it's fat! Although I'm reasonably active, I hadn't been doing any calisthenic-type exercising, particularly nothing targeting my belly - started some a few days ago (ouch!). If my belly disappears, then maybe I'll keep this goal-weight - but if it doesn't I might try to lose another 5 pounds. As far as loose skin - well, at my age I'm probably stuck with it. I'd have a face/neck-lift if I could afford it! But then I'd need a butt-lift, arm-lift, etc! ![]() I think once we're "at goal" then we can start looking at how it fits our "picture" of ourselves - and since it's so darned easy to do a P2 round, why not?!

Just into P4 and am working really hard at not being critical and thinking I should be "skinnier." My BMI is 23, I weigh the same as I did when I was 30 years old, which was 23 years ago.
My body, however, does not look like it did 23 years ago!! I guess that part should have been obvious but somehow I expected a bit more miraculous transfirmation. However, I am doing my best to concentrate on how much better I feel, how much better I feel about my appearance and being content with a weight that I can reasonably maintain without being an absolute slave to everything that goes in my mouth for the rest of my life. I think I'm there. |

at your "transFIRMation" above!! I wish I could be firmer!! I think that old saying "diet makes you look good in clothes, exercise makes you look good naked" applies here. I am technically in my "healthy weight range" but am far from being "bikini ready" not that I ever was, or will be, but I have work to do. I may even go for another round eventually, but am working on the maintenance and exercise component for now.Do you workout? Maybe some weight training and light cardio would help what you're experiencing? Weight training is wonderful and I can't wait until I get back into it!! You've done great!! ![]() |

Ha ha, that was a very Freudian slip, I think.
My exercise program has been woefully lacking. My husband has a chronic illness and I am fairly involved in his ongoing treatment. Add that onto a full time job and it's tough. BUt must make the time, not wait to find it as that will never happen. Kind of the last piece to try and fit into place to keep myself healthier into the future. |

Red, so proud of you. Im proud of all you gals for making goal. I am so thankful to be in the 150s which I maintained in my 30's. I'm 51 now. I wieghed a about 155 when I got married at age 31. I remember I was not happy with my wedding dress photos, though. I was happiest in my 20's when I weighed about 127, but I had a skeletal face to go with it. I set my goal at 135 and hope that HCG will maintain a healthier looking face. I have been blessed that my skin seems to be pretty elastic. I didn't get stretch marks when I was pregnant. I always had a belly even when I was 20 years old and doing 100 situps per day on a reverse incline board. That's just my body. I am hoping to look into some non-surgical type solutions to the belly once I get to goal, like that freezing the fat cells thing I heard about. I do want to get to exercise as part of maintenance and a permanent solution and just to feel better with more stamina. I am 5'7" but I don't have really big bones. I have a friend who has big bones and is my height so I know wht that looks like. Her arm bones are like an inch thicker than mine, so I know what "big boned" is and I am not that. LOL.
