Sounds good to me! I love the idea of having more than a couple of options for when you need to get unstuck. Let me know how your apple day turns out for you, okay?

Cheryl,
You had asked I post my results of my apple day, so here I am... LOL I ate 3 "large" apples yesterday, had coffee and a couple SF jellos (could not help myself) and was down 2.4 this morning. Now the real test... will it stick?? Did you drink lots of water the next day? I plan to resume my normal water and such, which is about 100 oz or more and my normal P2 foods... thoughts? And Hi!! Your up early today!!! Welcome to the morning!!

Yippee! I don't recall drinking more fluids the following day, so just drink normally. WTG! I hope it sticks for you, too.

Ok, this my journal so I can let it all hang out here, right? Well, I woke up before 4 am and I was not pleased about it. I skipped yesterday's usual smart pop popcorn and had no grain portion at all. But with so little sleep, I couldn't see if skipping the popcorn made any difference.

So here's the sensitive topic. Bernice. I have not had much luck with pericolace, fiber or dulcolax tabs lately, to this morning I brought out the big guns. I took a full dose of Milk of Magnesia (or MOM.) I made the most of my morning. Toward the later part of the morning I was able to catch a nap. I woke around 2 pm and weighed. Down from 194 to 192.8!

Now I don't know if it was the popcorn or the MOM. Who cares! I'm almost out of the 90's! Wooohooo!

It's a wonderful thing, isn't it? I hope it continues to work for me through each round. I was thinking I'd go straight through to goal but now I know I'll be breaking it up into chapters. I want to break through my big set-point of 177 and get to around 170 before I begin P3. Then I'll do the full 3 weeks of P3 and P4 before loading again and restarting P2.

I don't know how much longer I'll have to do P2 in order to get to 170, but it will be a while! Maybe that's too much to expect for my first round? That's 22.8 more lbs. (eeks.) Maybe I'll do P3 at 180 instead.

I am tentatively planning on going all the way through. I've spent too much of my life miserable with my body, I just want to be there, like...yesterday. Lose the fat, regain my life.

I do think it (this whole protocol) will work for you, Cheryl. I'm on another forum with a lot of people who have thyroid disorders (hashi's and non-autoimmune) and all of them have been successful when nothing else was working. I have hope for both of us. Sometimes it takes a while, but I think we'll both get there. I'll keep you in my prayers and hope that you make each one of your goals easily.

Thank you. I think the reason I decided to take it in chapters is that we naturally slow down our losses as time goes on. Each time I restart P2, I should have a rapid initial loss. And it's so important to reset the hypothalamus and that apparently only happens in P3. I hear you continue to lose inches during P3 and your skin gets a chance to rebound a little.

Also, it will give me a chance to begin to incorporate some exercise a few times a week, to add definition and tone to my muscles. Boy, do they need that!

However you plan to do it, we're in this together!

Hi Cheryl. When I first started, I had the same goal as you--go straight through my setpoint, which is oddly, 175'ish. I actually asked some questions about this around the forum because it looked like I was going to land right at that weight at the end of my first round. I didn't want to be "stuck" there! What I was told was that it actually isn't a bad idea to land close to a former setpoint because when you stabilize in P3 at that weight, it becomes much easier to "blow past it" when you start your second round. Now I haven't had a problem in either P3 or P4 and I have stabilized right at 175 (LDW of 177). Here's to fingers crossed when I start up P2 again in a week or so that 175 recedes quickly in the rearview mirror!!!! Just thought I'd share some thoughts I got at that time when I was pondering the same thing...

Btw, just fyi to you guys, Jazzle and Cheryl in particular, who haven't heard this, I am hypothyroid and hypoadrenal and on meds for both. Had a stellar first round (30 days, 25 pounds) and have done great in both P3 and P4.

That's great, Shelby! Thanks for sharing your experience with me/us. Looking at your stats, they kind of mirror my own. I got as low as 179.2 on Atkins on July 31, 2010 (the day before my birthday, so I was tickled pink.) But I got off track soon after and I regained a chunk of weight over the next 5 months. I took some liberties for special events such as a local fair (love fairs and fair food,) camping with family, my birthday meal with family, etc. One thing lead to another and I just couldn't regain my momentum. What a mistake that was, and what a lesson learned! Older and wiser, for sure!

Do you know a lady on the Atkins '72 forum named Divinehealth? She has hypothryoid and adrenal insufficiency and is on meds for both. I wonder if you could tell her the ways that hhcg has helped you. She loves Atkins but she tends to stall (as so many of us do). I wonder if she would do as well as you are on hhcg. (She lives in southern california, too.) I'll mention you to her and see if she wants to get in touch with you. Or, you could always PM her. Or, I could mind my own business...

I join you in hoping for a next great round on P2 next week! Gettin' excited, huh! I can tell.

I had no idea! Thank you so much for speaking up - it really helps my motivation to read what you wrote. I'm praying that my stellar beginning keeps up...I really need this.

Reading what you wrote makes me think that it might be best to get to my original set point of 180, which would be halfway to my goal, so I can blow past it, as you said, and make my way further down. Or who knows...I might end up doing a regular round, like you. I have no idea at this point, but am anxious to reclaim my life.

Thanks shelbyla!

I'm down another full lb today! Wooohooo! This is unbelievable! I'm so thankful that I decided to take the leap and try Hhcg, to see if it was anywhere near as good as people have been saying. I have to agree with them! I can and will reach my goal, and live my life being happy in my skin.

Good morning! I woke too early again today to bother weighing, but I feel so slender! I'm leaning-up all over the place. I feel wonderful! Tomorrow I will weigh and see where I'm at on the scale. Have a superior day today!

Singing the "Get me out of CT" blues today. I'm so tired of all this gloom, cold, wind, etc. And the fact that I'm up 0.6 lbs today instead of being closer to the 180's is not helping the matter any. And the day after totally resisting temptation for pizza!

I need sun and at least 60 degrees and I need them NOW.

Hey, Cheryl, I just noticed that the right side of your throat hurts when you swallow (in your sig). Is it your tonsil? I ask 'cause one of my tonsils hurt for a few days last week. It went away on its own, but I have to wonder if this is a "detox" of sorts...

Take care of yourself...you deserve it.

Thanks, Jazzlebug. No, I doubt it's my tonsils. It's like when you have a lymph node that swells a bit, only I can't feel any swelling. I know that makes no sense at all, but I'm sure it's going to be gone almost as quickly as it came. It has been much better since I have been drinking hot coffee all day.
