Way too much time on my hands!
|
Is Anyone Else Freezing?
Since starting the drops a few weeks ago, my hands, feet, legs--almost everywhere get so cold!
Under our down comforter, I sleep in flannels, thick socks and my heating pad most nights! (poor DH) ![]() Seems like it happens so quickly, too--like if I don't put something on my feet immediately after I get up, they turn to ice! I need to run my hands under hot water at times to warm them and sit with a fleece throw wrapped around my legs! ![]() I've read that in some, this is a sign that the hypothalamus is resetting---could it be? ![]() ![]() ![]() What about you? ![]()

I was always cold when on the sauce.
In the summer, it's nice-not as much a/c needed. In the winter, not so much. |

Catkin, I'm a heating blanket kinda girl right now too. I wear those really fuzzy thick socks around the house and am always in a hoodie as well. I'm normally a little bit cold natured but this is pretty severe. I have to warm my frozen hands before I touch patients at work or they would probably jump right out of bed. ![]() I'm so thrilled it's warming up this week and will probably be for good this season. I'm even more happy that my next round will be in middle of summer.

Yes, this has been the coldest winter of my life. Have have to remember we are losing out insulation ie: fat so we are going to be colder. I also use an electric blanket and wear layers upon layers of clothes, 2 pairs of socks and always gloves.

I was freezing throughout P2. Now on P3, its better. I used to be hot ALL the time no matter what. I think hcg has cured that. I am going to do a few more rounds and will be sure to do a couple during the hot months.

If this coldness means I am resetting my hypothalmous, then it is resetting REALLY WELL!!! Some nights I can't get warm under a thermal blanket and comforter. I have to make a cocoon and go under it to even get a little warmth.
I am usually cold but can layer up. Most days I come home and don't even take off my coat because I am that cold. DD's just laugh at me when I make dinner in my coat. I don't take off my coat til bedtime. SERIOUSLY!!! This is a side effect I hate but it is worth it to lose the weight. |

Feeling cold more is a side effect of any weight loss regimen, but does seem exacerbated with HCG -- perhaps because the weight is coming off faster? However besides feeling colder, I also get more hot flashes at night. The cats get really peeved with me throwing the blanket off, then pulling it up, then throwing it off again.... But I'll take the slight discomfort for the benefit of losing weight faster than any other plan.

oh yeah! i always took it as a good sign it was working! ya know we probably need a lower body temp when pregnant because there are 2 of us and that could add up to some heat LOL so no other 98.6 to keep us warm on this Who knows??
![]() just what i always thought PLUS we are releasing insulating fat! and so we have less protection! HAPPY LOSING Last edited by debkeversole; 03-17-2011 at 07:33 AM.. |

I remember being very cold in my late teen years. Turned out I was low in iron and my blood pressure was very low normal. I would wear my coat in the house too. Would fall asleep at every break and lunch at work and after work. Terrible.
My son noticed he was colder and had harder time getting up. When I checked his blood pressure sure enough it was low. Suggested he add some good salt, like the himalaya salt, to his food or even let a few of the grains melt under his tongue. It helped. Before HHCG his pressure was "normal". It went down after starting. Before HHCG my pressure was "high". It went down to normal range after starting. I'm thinking it will all balance out in the end. |

Tell me it won't make me retain water--I seem to be very salt Osodium that is )sensitive. How much do you have of the good stuff daily? My BP is always what they call a good low. But if I stray into pizza or ham, I swell up and get very thirsty. Maybe I should start a thread on that.I have a lot to learn about Celtic salt for sure! ![]() |

I was always freezing until I started taking cayenne capsules every day. I take one twice a day, and I always feel toasty from my core out for hours afterwards. I took 2 last night half hour before cooking for my husband and I started sweating!! I ended up cooking in my underwear since I was so hot!
Works wonders =D |

My Dh would love for me to cook in my underwear but nowadays, it is a winter coat. Kids might think I'm a little wacky but they already do so NBD. |

Back in the 60's a friend of mine was told by her doctor to avoid salt because of her blood pressure. Being a good patient she had no salt. Wound up in the hospital, because of it. "You told me not to have salt!" she said. The doctor explained that if he tells patients they should have "some" salt, they still overdo it. But if he says no salt, they sneak in some. She was just too compliant. Salt is essential for life, but not too much. |
