are you talking about the homeopathic hCG?
if you are, then there are still trace amounts of the real hormone in the drops/pellets. its just been extremely diluted. I take the hCG Ultra Diet drops. |

Koo I have the one by NiGren and got out the info on it last night. The box proudly claims "hormone free" but I do not see how it will work. I am a bit leery of trying it. I don't know if I should use it, or my Evoke I just got in, when my current bottle runs out. I hope someone who HAS used it can chime in and tells us it works!!

i didn't even notice the 'hormone-free' proclamation until i just took a look at it! shows how much i pay attention i've lost 8 pounds so far and am on VLCD8 today if that gives you any indication. very little to no hunger, with about 15 or 20 more pounds to lose total. let me know what you think; i haven't decided if I will stick with this brand when my bottle is up or switch to the pill version i saw at the health store |

Abby
I am so glad you have had success with it!!! Yay!!!! I will certainly let you know if I have to use it. I am hoping my bottle I have now will last another week, but I have to dose 6 times a day and don't think it will last much longer. |

I bought a bottle for $10 just out of curiosity, but I am afraid to try it since I am prone to ravenous hunger and thinking about nothing but food if I don't take HCG.

You just have to try it out!!! But I completely understand where you are coming from. I don't need any more derailments in my round. I have had enough of my own all from my own doing, thank you very much Don't need a switch to one form of hcg to derail me too. |

I read another board sometimes, and several people there have had good success with the amino-acid-only drops (others have not had good results).
Dawn, are you doing another round of p2? |

![]() ![]() But this was my own doing. I had 2 birthdays (my DD and my DS) right out of the gate of P3. That restaurant eating is not great for your first day of P3. Word to those starting P3--do not go out to a restaurant on your first day of P3. Wait at least a few days Oh, and the other advice....stick to the rules of no starch and no sugar. What I have gotten myself into Oy!!!

Thank you for all the replies. Yes, Dawn, you are right, M used Fusion for her first round (and lost 20 lbs.) and she started her second round of drops yesterday using the same thing. I want to do a round with her but would like to try the hormone free drops since my doctor doesn't want me taking hormones because of the blood clot I had last year. I will check out the NiGren since Abby has had success with it.

. It has been pretty bad here since the new year and things totally got out of control for both of us. I myself, am up 15 lbs. since Christmas so we both need to buckle down and get serious. She is busy loading yesterday and today and I need to stock up all the necessities for a successful round. |

Oh, KOO. I am sorry to hear that. But it happens to us all. Hence my 3 re-do rounds. At least she knows what to do and what to expect!!! Happy loading to her!!

I could see using no hcg drops if you had hormone issues and couldn't as per doctor's instructions, but I couldn't see doing it otherwise - the real fix is the hypothalmus resting as per Dr. Simeons original protocol - and the resetting the metabolism in a successful P3. You wouldn't get the reshaping aspects of using hcg with it. I don't see how any of that part of it is possible without the hcg. Otherwise, it's just like any other very low-calorie diet. Might be ok for some with 15-30 pounds to lose, cuz heck, you can eat nothing for 23-30 days if you drink water, (done it-ugh) but for those of us with 90-100 pounds to lose, how is that any better than just plain starving? (or gastric bypass, lapbands, liquid protein diets, etc, etc, etc)
Am I missing something? What is the benefit of doing it without the hcg?

Thank you for all the replies. I have wondered about the no hormone ones myself but since that is my only alternative I was considering it. I think I am going to just get myself back into Atkins mode and see if I can take the weight off that way. Last time M did her round I lost weight keeping what I ate close to her menu (minus the Melba toast) and added fats to keep it more Atkins style.
Jabbok and L&F, thanks for the welcome back! I am happy to see you both have done so well. I hope M can do as well herself in this 2nd round.

Wow, this is really old. 2 years!! I don't even recall if I used the hormone free and what results I got on it. Hmm......I am STILL leary of those that claim to be hormone free as that is what you need in order to use the hcg plan correctly. I only use the ones that have the hormone in them--the Intermountain pellets are fabulous and work.

Oh no. I love looking at old posts. I sometimes just bump threads to look at them myself. I get to remember the good old days. Haha. No harm in doing so because you get to learn from those who have done things before you try them. Totally fun !!!!
