Yesterday I began replacing the grissini and fruit with extra veggies and a bit of protein. I also dropped Splenda! Wow, do I miss her. I just want to have every advantage for the next 3 weeks while I head towards my goal. No use wasting time not throwing every weapon I have at the surplus fat!

B: 1 egg + 3 egg whites
Coffee with 1 T milk
L: Sauerkraut
3 garlic cloves
Chicken
D: Kimchi
Spinach
3 garlic cloves
Veal chop

After not being hungry all day, I was a teeny bit hungry around 11pm when I started to get ready for bed. I'm really amazed how each and every day I'm able to stick to less than 500 calories and refuse temptation, given how in the past I was so "weak." In my own family I know some who fast periodically for spiritual reasons, and it just blew my mind that they could go without out food, even for a day. Heck, I couldn't skip a meal! Knowing I've got a healthy appetite, and seeing the change in eating now, I think my DH is starting to get that this is not simply a "placebo" effect. Importantly, it's made me a convert. Who wants to be he'll be joining us next round?

Side note: our grocery bill is down. Gee, anyone else notice that and feel a bit bad about spending so much of their household resources on food?

my menu is off a bit today... finally after 3 days of no loss I dropped .5 pounds

breakfast 2 cups hot tea w/stevia

lunch 1/2 biz shake( spinach, cottage cheese, cocoa, frozen strawberries and sweetner) (froze the other half into ice cream) * this was ok not wonderful.. but Im not a huge shake person.

1 hard boiled egg

baked apple

dinner white ruffy fish in lemon, zukes

cucumber slices ( I have to take food with my bedtime meds)

I too am having trouble getting to 500 calories.. thats why I added the hard boiled egg today.. I gguess we will see what happens.

For the last couple of days I've had spicy chicken, tomato and apple soup! I put all my allowed foods into either a soup or a salad (ditched the melbas although they'd be great with butter, I bet).
Don't laugh the soup is so good! I put some Mrs. Dash spicy, dehydrated onion, some No Salt and a pinch of cinnamon.
I'm out of lettuce till I can get to town. Tomorrow will be interesting. Probably white fish and spinach--boring!

Ive messed with the eggs.. Im undecided at this point, the cottage cheese Im leary of.. I have no idea about greek yogurt.. I guess its one of those things where it depends on each person and their reaction to the food...

read P&I again he specifically mentions cottage cheese and eggs

Very occasionally we allow egg - boiled, poached or raw - to patients who develop an aversion to meat, but in this case they must add the white of three eggs to the one they eat whole.Cottage cheese made from skimmed milk is available 100 grams may occasionally be used instead of the meat
now the fat free is horrible IMHO and i think it has added sugar? i use the 1% and it is way way better and losses have been consistant HTH

I normally eat a lot of grapefruit and lose best on it but it looked so awful in the grocery store this week. I bought two organic ones that looked ok so that will give me four servings of it this week.

Lunch the last couple of days:
Big Salad with lettuce, 100g chicken breast, a diced apple, a few thinly sliced green onion tops, and SP legal mustard vinaigrette--I LOVE these salads.

Dinner has been a one dish soup with canned SF diced tomatoes, 100g lean ground beef, a diced apple, dehydrated onions, Mrs. Dash Zesty, cumin, garlic and whatever other spices I fancy at the moment!
I let this simmer on the stove at least an hour or a little more--yum!

Todays meals will be pretty similar, although I may try a Biz's Smoothie.

Forgot to say that I use a few shakes of Frank's Red Hot sauce in both the salad and the soup.

Awlass-nice to see you!! What's RNY? Is that some type of WLS? Good for you!! WTG!!

Angela-I do better w. beef, but had lots of chicken to use up so had it twice yesterday. W/ cream in my morning coffee it seems to work well enough for me, which is nice.

Today:
B:coffee, hnh, AS
S: apple
L: shredded chicken taco (lettuce wrapped)
D: P2 chili, or burger - not sure yet, side salad or cucumbers.
S: strawberries- I think I need to get some.

I don't get much sleep, but it's sweet ) and she's such a wiggle worm. All over the place!! Hope tonight I can really get better rest!!
