Here is what I had yesterday (Wednesday)
L: chicken, 1/2 grapefruit; asparagus; Grissini D: Biz's shake/smoothie Here is the recipe: Phase 2 Smoothie 3 oz raw spinach 5 oz frozen strawberries 3 oz low fat cottage cheese 1 tbsp Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa 2 pkg sweet n low Water Total of 150 Calories - You could make two of these a day and still have room for at least ONE meal!!! This smoothie twice has almost the amount of protein as the recommended amount of chicken (3.5 oz)!!! |

B tea
S 1/2 grapefruit L P2 chili, 1 grissini D orange roughy, baby spinach, 1 grissini I have to say that the orange roughy was SO delicious. I could have eaten a lot more than my 100 grams. All I did was sprinkle a bit of dill on it and then squeeze 1/2 a lemon over it. I cooked it on the stove top in a nonstick pan with nothing but the dill on top and the fresh lemon juice. I'm very much looking forward to doing the exact same thing tonight. YUMMY |

Yesterday's (Thurs) menu:
L: chicken (I decided to use the bacon salt on it and it was deelish!!); radishes; 1 Grissini; strawberries D: eggs (1 whole + 3 whites); 1/2 can tomato; Melba; 1/2 grapefruit this has to be the best thing I have had since trying the P2 French onion soup!! I took my egg allowance (1 whole egg + 3 whites) and scrambled them up. Heated up 1/2 can of tomatoes on the stove--with a bit of water added. I added the eggs to the tomato when they were heated though. Scrambled the eggs in the tomatoes and it was fabulous!! I used the same spices as I do for my chili. onion powder, salt, cayenne pepper, Italian seasoning. It was so yummy I decided to have it for lunch today too!! Drinks: 3 cups of coffee, 2 cups of WuLong tea (1 cup had my Natural Calm in it); 4+ 32 oz of water. Exercise: walk 20 mins

Kari
I cook my radishes on the stovetop. Just boiling the heck out of them. I think I boiled them for like 30 mins. I had to keep adding water to them so they would not boil dry. When they were done, they were mushy so I decided to be done with them and put them in Tupperware and refrigerate them. Sometimes I boil and then bake them. |

I sprinkle my standard P2 spices: onion powder and sea salt on them. They have an undescribable taste. They don't taste like much at all. The boiling them a really long time takes most of the taste away.
And let me add that I boiled 2 bags this time. I wanted to have the leftovers for a while so I didn't have to worry about cooking some every time I wanted them. Those 2 bags have lasted all week! |

Yesterday's menu:
B: Half grapefruit w/Stevia S: Melba Toast L: 3.5 oz Grilled Tilapia and cabbage S: strawberries D: Tomato soup w/3.5 oz of shrimp I used 7 oz of diced tomatoes & one cup of filtered water to make the soup along with chili powder, no-salt, pepper, & Mrs Dash. I wanted to put in Old Bay seasoning but it had too much sodium for me. I'm going to try the soup again tonight with chicken. Lisa |

Be sure to look at the big picture - you have lost 10.5 lbs in 11 days. There is NOTHING slow about that. Yeah, those big losses slow down, but the average loss for women for a round is 0.5/day. That's it. Some lose a lot more than that, I realize that, but a lot don't. You're doing fabulously! You can see in my signature I lost 9.1 the first week, then only 2.6 the next. The body has to adjust. |

You guys are making P2 look like a gourmet feast! Almost. This is my first round so I don't think I'll be doing anything too fancy the first few days--mainly steam/boil. Is it okay to boil shrimp in chicken broth with ordinary seasonings? It makes such a big difference, flavor-wise.

Let me add also that Peggy has done rounds where all she ate was chicken and cabbage. So there is nothing wrong with having the same meals. She loses a lot on her rounds. But the first thing to do when you feel you are not losing as you should is look to your menu. And remember that your body has to catch up to your losses thus far. You won't lose loads every day. Heck on some of my rounds even when eating 100% spot on protocol I gained. So these ebbs and flows are perfectly normal. Last edited by dawnyama; 02-19-2011 at 07:43 AM.. |
