Today's check in - down another .5, which puts me at 200 even. So close to seeing that new century, I can smell it.
I did my Callanetics today, and my legs feel twitchy - I think they're still crabby about my going for a run on Monday. The only way I've ever been able to get them to stop twitching (I'm talking RLS or Parkinson's type spasms) is to have a little more fat in my diet that day, to help with muscle repair. I don't know why it works for me, but it does. Electrolytes help too, as do minerals, but the minute I add just a wee bit extra fat, the problem goes away (the scientist in me is suggesting it's a neurotransmitter problem). So I used some 2% milk to make my protein shake - I'm thinking that just that 5g of fat will make a huge difference for me, considering I've been nearly fat-free (dietarily speaking) for almost three weeks now. We'll see in about an hour. While I'm at it, does anyone know when you're supposed to count your LDW? The actual last dose day, or the next day? My last dose day of this round is Friday - but I know I'll be down again on Saturday, since my dose schedule is late (last dose near 11pm). Seems to me you'd count the next morning's weigh-in, since the loss is directly attributable to the dosing of the previous day. Thoughts?

Down 1.3 LB's this morning.. Wow I am so impressed with this stuff. I only wish I had found it years ago.. I only hope it keeps working for me. I have no problem with the 500 calories as long as I see results, I can do this..
I plan to continue for 53 days instead of the 40 recommended.. then I will take a break. Does it work as well once you start the 2nd round.. |

Laschance -- it IS impressive, isn't it? A lot of people find the second round harder and slower, which is why I am going for the extended first round. If your head is in it, why not? It does keep working, but the losses do slow after a bit --
Kateenie -- I know, the INCH LOSS is totally amazing, and almost instant. It is so strange.. the scale loss happens, then the body stalls, and BOOOM, it is way smaller. So weird! I know that something similar happens on LC, but not to this extent... this is just wacky. I am waiting for my next bout of inch loss, and then I will decide if I want to stop, or drop a few more... as it stands today, I am in my old favorite skinny jeans, and they fit

In other news, the rhythms of this diet are strange, too -- I was feeling pretty off for a couple of days -- hungry, fatigued, etc... and now I feel great again. So odd, but I'll take it.

Laschance -- this is VLCD day 42 for me -- I am aiming to finish up the drops I have, and then quit the round.... I think maybe another week or so? I hope to drop at least to 105 or even a little below that -- but will end the round at that point regardless what the scale says. 105 is where I'd like to stabilize.

Yes, I have stuck to 500 or fewer the whole time -- actually, I often don't even eat that much, though I don't think that helps with losses at all -- I think it is better to eat the whole 500 if you can manage it.
I don't think I'd want to go too much longer doing this without a break -- even if we are getting adequate nutrition from the released fat stores, it is shock to the body to lose this quickly, and the skin, muscles, etc. need time to repair and adjust. Even if I had more than one round to go, I think I would end at a maximum of about 50 days or so -- it isn't worth it to end up with loose skin, etc. that could perhaps be prevented. |

I think that sounds like a plan, Laschance -- it's working, you're losing, and it will start to be very evident to you very soon! I will be here rooting for you whatever you do, and I wish you much luck on your journey

You wouldn't be able to (legally) have cake until P4!! So you'd need to stop three weeks before hand, in order to do a P3 (3 weeks) so you could then be in P4 and have your cake. |

Up early this morning, VLCD Day 10 - still no loss loss to report, It is so weird that the scale says the EXACT same number since Sunday especially when you have a scale that measures in 1/10ths.
Oh well..... Have a good Thursday, everyone! |

Woohoo. Another 1/2 pound gone this morning. I love I'm still losing 1/2 a pound a day and enjoying an extra meal in the evenings. I know I'll eventually have to cut it out as I get closer to goal but it's worki for me now.

Down another .5lb this morning. YAY!! The scale is finally moving! Two days in a row now. I will take .5lb a day.
I have decided to do the hcg along with LC. I can't do low cal days. Just can't. I am dosing 4 times a day with about 6 drops and that is really curbing my hunger. I really only eat 2 main meals and then a few snacks and I think it is working for me. I am also continuing to workout and once it gets warmer outside, I will start training for a 1/2 marathon. I would think that should help getting these last few lbs off me. Hope everyone is doing well! |

Down another pound myself. I am losing exactly a pound a day. The number has ended with .4 for the last several. Loving it! I ate extra cottage cheese yesterday for my workout too DisneyPrincess. I think it helped A LOT! Then I even had chili after the workout. I was a bit over 500 calories - but still lost the pound. It is so much easier to do this thing when you are seeing progress.
I plan on staying in P2 all this month then doing P3 for 2-3 weeks, P4 for 2-3 weeks and then starting another round to, hopefully, get the remaining weight off. I hope it doesn't take 3 rounds, but it might. I think it is going to be hard to stay on P3 and P4 since it isn't "weight loss" times. Really does extend how long it takes to get to goal, but heck.... I've been FAT for a long time.

Wow! Great losses everyone! I am D2VLCD, so yesterday I lost what I had gained loading. Hope to see real losses as of tomorrow. I need to get back to exercising as well. I was supposed to go walking for an hour yesterday, but it was too bleeping cold! I freeze alot of the time anymore. Yesterday, I had to get under the covers. Dh and I are supposed to go this evening. I love callanetics and plan to do it all the time, then will sit my butt on the couch and be lazy. I don't know what's wrong with me. I think maybe the winter blahs. I keep researching cruises! Gotta run. Check in later. Farmgirl |

I'm ready for my first down day. Bout to take the kids to school.
My weights while 'maintaining' have been bonkers...look at this: 148.6 149.2 149.2 150.4 147.2 153.4 152 148.6 Today is 32 days since my last TOM. Never in my life have I had this long of a cycle (and no, not pregnant). So maybe some weird water weight issues? Will check back later. Tried 1 dose of pellets yesterday and loved the taste! Glad to see so many folks on thread losing, and hugs to the stallers and maintainers!

Wow, that was a nightmare. My car slid two times...not far, but I am so shaky right now. I do not like driving on ice...wish they had canceled! Country roads + ice = shaky mom!
We just don't have much experience at this stuff here in north texas. They really should have canceled not just delayed, but with 5 days lost already, I bet none of the schools wanted to. I hope there were no accidents! |

Ok I have another question, hopefully I can figure out what I have done wrong. No loss this morning in fact I have had .5 lb raise. You can have a peek at my ****** and see if there was something that should not be there. I also kept within my 500 cal?? So what gives or does this happen.. I will pump thru the water today to see if that helps change things.. Also wondering if I should increase my dose from current 7 drops to 8 or perhaps lower to 6, or does the dose even matter?? Thanks

Great losses ladies!!!!!!!!!!
PiDevil -- sorry you are in a bit of a stall -- it happens. I became the queen of waiting out a stall, and boy did it pay off! Hang tough, and ignore the scale for a few days if you need to -- it helped me to do that. Paula -- wow! Glad you are ok!!!!!!!!! Driving on ice terrifies me, personally. |
