Welcome to our weird little world, YvetteMarie!! Congrats on that new, low weight and on maintaining it!

Fembomb -- I was doing 10 drops 3x/day for the first part of the round... I wasn't hungry at all, and didn't have any real hunger until about 3 weeks in... then I started getting hungry consistently. At that point I lowered the dose to 8 drops 3/day, and eventually to 6 drops 3/day, and that is working pretty well. I suspect I need less now because I weigh a lot less

I've been reasonably consistent with the food intake -- I keep it to 500 calories or fewer, though they are not always exactly protocol (I eat off plan veggies, have had turkey, use oil based skin products) -- I was under-eating for a lot of the round (more like 300 or even fewer calories) and I don't think that helped at all -- so recently I have been trying to get the full 500 in. I also did protein only for a bit, but actually seem to do better with the fruit, so I am keeping it.

i am Very Interested in what brands and doses are working
i have seen so much online of ppl having serious hunger issues..
i think getting the dose right with hhcg is a lot harder than RX..
i do know once someone finds it..
they can ride that out..
i am going to find what works and doesnt with me..
at least with the brands i own

okay this makes sense..
perhaps after 3 weeks you had a build up..
its been my experience with herbs(not necessarily homeopathic)
that they can build up in my body..
OR..
you required less bc you had less fat stores..
thats what it looks like happened for you..

then you had to lower and again lower..
to keep that steady Same Magic amount in your body..
so maybe .with hhcg..
and particularly a longer round..
one has to find their dose..
and once they find it..
be aware it might need to be lowered as time goes on..
this makes a lot of logical sense to my brain..
not saying i figured it out ...
but it really makes sense to me ..

i agree with the calorie amounts..
i think staying around 500 with actual food
is prolly right..
when i am eating 800 calories..
a large portion of that is
protein shake mix...(200 cals)
coffee cals (60 cals)
sugar free gum..lemon..fiber choice tablets..
i pretty much count it all..
so my 800 calories would not be the same
as someone who added on say
300 extra cals of dense carby Melba toast..
or maybe even 300 cals of butter ...
those type calories might pose a real problem...
under eating is prolly bad aswell..
bc having those cals coming in
will keep the metabolism furnace buring
it doesnt take a lot..
just eating a stick of celery can rev up the furnance a bit..

Thanx a Lot for the Info!!
it is so great to have the Alternative Thread

the whole idea of following a WOE mindlessly..
that just never works for me
Individual plans tailored to the individual are where its at..
i dont even wear my dreses and skirts right off the rack..
i get them Tailored to fit me..
and Everyone Notices how well they fit me..
i feel the same about diet and maintanence..

I am reading your posts and getting a bit confused about dosing??? You say that we need to lower the dose if it is not working.. I would have thought that you would have to increase your dose?? How does this work???

I am taking 7 drops 3 times per day and I am not hungry ~ first meal today was at 3pm and was a protein shake.

I am taking Hhcg from White Dove, a professional grade homeopathic. Have been on it for 3 weeks with almost no hunger. In fact some days I get busy and don't get around to eating lunch till about 1:30 or 2:00. I can tell my stomach is empty but no actual hunger.

if you are not hungry outside of mealtimes..
do Not Even worry about changing up your dose..
just Give Thanks and carry on!!

dosing for RX and Homeopathic can be up or down..
Usually for RX it is down..
Too Much or Too Little HCG can make you Ravenous..
thats how it is..
you have to find your balance..
if in the future you encounter unmanageable hunger..
you can then think about changing your dose..
in your case..
since this dose has been working..
if it stops working in the future..
yes..
you should prolly try dosing Down..
but only by a bit..

Laschance -- some people need to raise the dose, others need to lower it. It is totally counter-intuitive, but there it is.... too much hcg makes one really, really hungry! If you aren't hungry, stay with the dosing schedule you have now.

If you develop hunger later on, try adjusting the dose a tiny bit... for me, it needed to go lower (and a lot of people have this experience) -- if one direction makes it worse, go the other... this is a totally individual thing.

Also, I do have days when I just seem to be hungry, for whatever reason. I just ride them out, drink a lot of liquids, what have you... it generally only lasts one day at a time, thankfully....

Laschance

YES..
in your case YES...

think of it this way...
if you begin with hhcg
and have had No hunger..
that means you have the Right Dose
for your present body..
if you begin to develop unmanageable hunger..
that goes beyond a day or so...
the likelyhood is that your body no longer Needs so much..
HCG Most Definitely causes Unmanageable hunger
when your body gets too much of it...
the only way to stop that...
to control it..
is to slightly lower your dose..

My pellets came in yeah! But we're hunkering down for more snow. I will NOT start until kids are in school! Luckily am caught up on work.

This gives me time to get my taxes complete. I have a home business, so always lots of work. I also stocked up on wine and diet soda...essential for surviving cold temperatures (that is without harming one's offspring).

Postman's been working overtime to catch up from last week...my box was stuffed.

I'll catch up more tomorrow...sounds like everyone is doing so well!

Hi Everyone
I really do not know what I am....I did the hcg drops for 40 days, lost 24lbs, maintained my weight at 207 at the end of 6 wks off drops. I started the drops again but I just go up and down and of course i have cheated. I ordered the injections and hope to get them within 10 days, stopped the drops and plan to start round 2 day 1 of injections when I get them. The Dr told me that since I had a thyroidectomy that my body would not absorb as much of the hormone, I have been stuck so I thought I would do the injections and I should get more of hcg. I am 63, take anti-depressants, bld pressure meds, diabetes...the Dr said I would lose it would just be slower and of course I cannot cheat. I am not asking for medical help....I want to know if you know of someone that is older, similar that has stopped drops and started injections....did it help? thank you so much ...you all are doing
great. Rett

Laschance -- if I am understanding you correctly -- what is important is to get the right dosage for your body. Trust me, you will know when that happens... you will have energy and you won't feel hungry (empty stomach, yes, but not that gnawing hunger.) When your dosage is optimized, you burn abnormal fat. When it is too high, or too low, you burn normal fat and muscle, which is not what you want to have happen.

Morning All!

Down 3.4 pounds this morning and so freaking excited! I'm hoping for at least one or two more days of a 2-3 pound loss before it starts slowing down. Usually my first week losses are really good and then it slows down a lot.

Today is VLCD3 for me. Lunch and dinner will be grilled chicken and cucumbers and my snacks will be apples. I never eat the grissini because it triggers cravings for me.

Hope you all have nice losses today!

I am no longer OBESE!!!! Woohoo!! Never thought I'd want to be "overweight" LOL.

I lost the 0.3 I gained yesterday, plus another 0.8!

I was over on calories yesterday because I ate dark meat chicken, but kept my fluid intake up since I was low on that the day before.

I printed out some calendars trying to figure out how long of a round to do and I decided I'm going to do a 40-day round with a full P3 and almost full P4 because of house guests (my mother who I DO NOT want to have to explain this diet to.......), then another 40-day round, hopefully to goal.

I dropped my goal significantly because I want to get to the "normal weight" category instead of overweight. I was pretty comfortable at 175, but couldn't lose below that, so hoping the HHCG will push me beyond that weight.

Good morning. Add me to the losers! Down 1/2 a pound today. I did weights and card yesterday plus had a whole extra "meal" of cottage cheese a tiny bit of natural peanut butter and a bit of granolas after my workout

Going to get in some extra cardio tonight I think

Congrats to all the losers.

Kateenie - that is so great to be out of the 'obese' category. Congrats!
I can't wait to be just 'overweight' myself!

Hi everyone! I am starting VLCD1 w/ hhcg gtts. I will not be following strict protocol though. Probably more of a stillmans/hhcg morph. I have a tendency to reactive hypoglycemia at times, so I avoid fruit generally. I'll mostly be having lean protein and keep cals low. I hope to have enough NRG to still do callanetics, walk/jog for 1 hour and all the other crap working mom/wives have to do! My goal is to lose 20 quickly and get back into some of my smaller clothes I haven't worn in 2 years.

Congrats to the losers!

Good morning -
R1VLCD8 (one week down....woo hoo) Total loss for the week = 8

My experiment yesterday was a success - lost 1

I ate - egg with 1/2 cup grits, chicken and cucumber, shrimp dipped in sweet/spicy mustard. Drank a lot of coffee, crystal light and tea. My total calories were still too low, but the added protein gave me the umph I needed.

Today I am going full low carb/low cal. Keeping my calories under 700, but no veggies or fruit. Eggs - cottage cheese - yogurt - chicken. Another experimental day for me. I just wanna feel good and be able to ZUMBA tonight.

Pretty impressive losses this morning! Wow! Hope it keeps going for you.

Pi--time to get out the tape measure. Most likely you are losing inches even while your weight is staying the same. That seems to happen a lot with HCG.

I'm going off HCG again for a while. This time I need to just stay off until my endless TOM completely stops. I thought I was near the end and restarted, but now it's flowing steady again. Oh well, at least I got 7 pounds off before the problems started. That's how it goes with me. Just call me Rosanne Rosanna Danna.

I think I'll just do Atkins with a 1500 limit for a while without the HCG and go to the doctor next week. I won't post here because it will just be pretty boring and out of sync. Hopefully I'll be back soon--this is a great group!

I actually looked forward to those days this round because that is the time my "reshaping" occurs. I was disgruntled because, even though I was 3 lbs lighter than I was this summer, my pants didn't fit! Well, after a couple days of no loss/up a little/down a little, I shrunk - seemingly overnight. I not only got into those pants, but squeezed into a size smaller than those!

I also try to look at the big picture of average 0.5/day loss that Dr. S. talks about. I've already lost the "average" amount of a short round, so anything else from here on out is a bonus! Those big first week losses are awesome, but usually don't continue, and keeping it off is a success in itself!

Mermaid - I measured on Sunday and was already down 2" off waist and 1" off hips. I will do a full measurement again on this Sunday. I had to re-measure just to make sure I did it correctly. Seems like a lot to lose in one week!

Kateenie - I think I might go over to Macy's this weekend just to try a smaller size pants. I have been hesitant to buy new clothes but trying doesn't hurt! It might give me a boost to be true to hhcg WOE.

Question - (sorry if this is gross!) did anyone experience very loose bowel movements around the second week. I had this on Sunday night & Monday night. Some cramping too. I don't know if it something I ate or normal for hhcg. And no, its not TOM - that is not an issue for me.

Have a great Wednesday!
