Good morning all!
Kay-good job locking in the loss. I'm sure the dressing won't be too harmful. Doing great!! Peggy-yeah!! I hear ya' on the pumpkin bake. I always feel the same way (I would occasionally do the pumkin cheesecake for b/f). Yummy and on plan!! I'm in my window. Up a little from yesterday, and I know it's b.c I indulged in froyo 2 days in a row!! I knew I was pushing it, but wanted to give it a shot and see where I was. I'm happy it's not out of my 2lb range, but I also know it can't be a daily treat. I also had a frozen sugarfree mocha yesterday, which I also thought was pushing it. 1900cals too!! So, overall, quite pleased !Stats: LDW: 150.6 Today's weight: 152.4-152.6 Menu: coffee-hnh L: chicken soup - tortilla w/o the tortilla's!! S: yogurt and blueberries (out of cottage cheese) D: not sure. We eat out on Saturday night. Probably some type if meat covered salad for dinner Or a big juicy burger, depends where we go!!Have a great weekend!! Stick to your guns. I know it's hard when you're at a restaurant. We can do it!!

Hello, all! Peggy and Julie, glad to see you're doing so well.
I was up 0.8 lbs today. I'm 1.2 lbs over LDW, so still okay. Didn't eat properly yesterday, especially at dinner time. I was too busy trying to get ready for my son's 2 yr birthday party today. Didin't get enough sleep last night either. Hopefully I'll do okay today. B: Almond Flax Blueberry muffin, 4 pieces bacon, coffee w/ cocoa & stevia L: Homemade chili w/cheese and sour cream; coconut flour brownie (a small one) D: Not sure yet.

Ladies, I am joining you on Monday -- today is the first VLCD with no drops (pray for me! LOL) I had a weird little jump up after that last loss, and think my body is just really, really ready for a break! So the plan is 2 or 3 weeks on p3, and then another short p2 cycle to reshape and blast the last of the fat --- very much hoping for some p3 reshaping too ---
I am ready to do this |

Welcome to the dark side, mini.
My husband is home from his trip. We are whooping it up tonight with a honkin' big steak, scallops, and grilled mixed veg for him and steamed broccoli for me. I don't like his grilled veggies....too charred. Did I post my weight for today? I'm at 133, down .2 from yesterday's 1600 cal, and 1.2 lbs under my LDW. I made it through unscathed from the first cocktail event of the day. I had seltzer with lemon instead of booze. One more party to go today, and I'll have either the seltzer or a zinfandel spritzer. Or two. Heh.

Okay, I'm nervous. I'm dangerously close to being over 2 lbs of my LDW and it's only day 3 of P3.
LDW from Monday: 161.4 Tuesday and Wednesday: 160.5 Thursday (first day on P3) 160.7 Friday: 162 +.6 window Saturday: 162.9 +1.5 window This week was awful stress wise - very traumatic and emotional. Had that against me. My calories were not where they should be. I ate 1700 calories Thursday, my first day of P3 and yesterday I ate 1,500 calories AND I went out west coast swing dancing last night which is very aerobic exercise. Yesterday just was crazy and I'm telling you it's hard to get close to 2,000 calories without eating cheese and nuts. So I'm defrosting a chicken tonight in anticipation of doing a CD tomorrow. Any ideas on what I can do? My menus have been: 2 eggs and an apple for breakfast, lunch was tuna salad over lettuce with tomatoes, then dinner garlic parmesan chicken (the parmesan is the shake kind and I know I shouldn't have cheese but it's hardly cheese - you roll it in it with italian seasoning - 1 cup for 6 breasts so not much) with broccoli and butter. Thursday I added cauliflower in sour cream dip I made myself and a bowl of berries. Yesterday I didn't eat that. Any ideas?? Thoughts?

Yikes -- Avery -- you are scaring me! One thing to consider is that we have had so little actual bulk in our intestines for so long, obviously some of that will show up as a scale gain when we start eating again. Hope you don;t need a CD tomorrow

Jenn, I'm by no means an expert (so hopefully one will chime in), but it looks to me like maybe you're not getting enough calories. Maybe add in some full fat greek yogurt. I put english toffee stevia in mine and toss in some shredded coconut and chopped pecans. You could skip the pecans, use a different flavor stevia (or just plain) and put in some strawberries or blueberries.
I'm having a hard time staying away from cheese and nuts. I was fine with them last P3, but seem more sensitive this round. Good luck! |

Jenn-it's likely water retention from dancing, and added intestinal bulk. Have you been "regular"? I had an adjustment my first week in that department, and it showed on the scale. Your menu looks clean, a bit salty likely, but if you're drinking enough water it should be fine. Give it another day before worrying. You're still 0.5 under your window, and just starting P3. See how tomorrow goes. It takes a bit to settle in. Mini-so looking forward to P3 with you!! ![]() I'm looking forward to dinner tonight. Getting all dolled up Have a good one guys!! |

Man, I am hungry tonight! Worked out today, and TOM randomly arrived as well today (THAT explains the weird gain!) -- and this is the end of the first vlcd with no drops. 1 more day, one more day.... and then I get to eat more than 500 calories!!!!!!!!

Weigh the same as yesterday, 133. I have a crazy few days coming up, so I need to work out a plan. I'll travel all day Tue and possibly some of Wed. Husband's shift got changed for the week, so meal times will be weird. He's 1st shift today, then three 2nd shifts, then a 3rd shift on Thurs.
Busy day yesterday: B: quiche, so it was 1.5 eggs, 1 oz sausage, .75 oz swiss, and 1.5 oz milk Flax oil L: not much. couple bites of fage and a few veggie strips. TONS of sparkly water w/lemon THen I had a salad at about 4pm, w some olive oil on it. S: oopsie roll with butter at about 6pm (it was stale but I was starving) D: Ribeye, scallops with a little bacon, broccoli. Husband cut off about a 4 oz portion steak for me. You should have seen his face when I plopped another 2-3 oz on my plate! It was so good! Today's plan: B: virgin mary, scrambled eggs L: shrimp and guacamole on salad, some full fat cottage cheese, 1/2 grapefruit. D: Cauliflower pizza! (mozzerella, egg, cauli in crust, pizza quick sauce, fresh mozzerella on top with shrooms, onions, anchovies, seasoned hamburger, a little pepperoni) I'll have a salad with the pizza. Jenn, I'm new at this, but here are my thoughts:
You might want to look at getting more of your fat from animal flesh and from good oils. You chose lower-fat tuna and chicken breast for yesterday, and then had fats from mayo, cream, and the little bit of parmesan. (THe eggs were a good choice, I think). Could you choose a fattier protein? Chicken thighs, steak or ground round (like 85% lean maybe), salmon or mackerel, or even bacon/pork (but admittedly, I'd be leery of pork when up a bit in weight, because we've been off it for awhile so it is unknown how we'll handle it) Then, a word about oils. Best ones are flax oil, fish oils, and walnut oils. Olive oil is next best. I eat an ounce or less of walnuts and I believe the fear from them comes from people who overdid the quantities. An ounce of walnuts provides all of your daily alpha-linolenic acid. OTOH, TWO oz of walnuts, though it doesn't seem like a lot when you eat them, is 370 calories. Fits in your hand, and has as many calories as a breakfast or light lunch. Good luck to you. I think you're smart to have the chicken ready, but I believe a day of eating with a few adjustments might do the trick. You can always eat the chicken the next day anyway... with tons of other good food! ETA: avocado and olives are a great way to add good fats, too. Last edited by emel; 02-13-2011 at 05:26 AM.. |

Is it possible that the parmesan contains starch?? If it is from a can? I think you would be better off grating your own, IMHO.
I am into Day 2 of P3 and things are going well so far. Crazy, but I thought I really ate a lot yesterday on Day 1, and I lost .5 this morning. I am now 2.5 under my LDW. Nice to have that wiggle room FOR ONCE. LOL!I pretty much ate all day (but stopped promptly at 5 pm- good strategy for me) so it is hard to list BLD...but basically, I cooked a whole chicken and ate some with salad w/homemade ranch and avocade; diced apples w/ cinnamon fried in coco oil w/ whipped cream; hnh w/ coffee. I ate both the salads and the apples a couple of times- and probably was in the 1800-2000 calorie range for the day. My fat was a whopping 63%!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, the coco oil...has been a true wonder for me. The more I consume, the more I lose. Very odd. Today: Valentines Dinner: BIG KC Strip Steak/Grilled Mushrooms/Onions and my Diced Apple Dessert *LOVE* B&L will be more chicken in a salad and diced apples. Did I mention diced apples (LOL). Have a blessed day everyone!!! |

If you are hungry on the two VLCDs w/o drops eat extra protein. The hunger means the hhcg is out of your system and you need it.

It's so nice to hear you sound so happy, amap
Peggy, you're doing so well! Mini, I agree with kimberly. She is wise. I upped my cal to 650 on no pellet day 1 and had about 1000 cal on day 2. This is me talking, nothing "official", but I believe homeopathic users might get the hcg out of their system quicker. If this is true, you seriously want to eat more protein on your no dose VLC days. To do otherwise will do more harm than good. I tallied up my food plan on ******. It's 1513 cal, 55% fat, 31% protein, and 14% carb. I swear, I just typed in the foods of what I wanted. Really happy it's so close to my correct numbers. |

Peggy, I'm so glad your P3 is going so well. That's how my first P3 and P4 were. Absolutely no CDs.
But, that is not the case this time. I had to do a CD (steak day) on Wednesday, and now I'm having to do another one. Woke up this morning to a 1.8 lb gain. I'm 1 pound over LDW and not very happy. TOM should be starting any day now, so I could probably get away with just "eating clean". I do feel "puffy" today like I'm retaining water. Could be the combination of the salt I had yesterday and impending TOM. I'm not sure what to do.My steak day was miserable (even though I dropped 3 lbs from it). I'm considering an egg day. We have a Valentine's party at church today for the kids. I was going to bring my coconut flour brownies and have some of those. I guess I just won't be eating at all. ![]() I know I didn't eat the best yesterday, but I didn't think I ate that bad. Although, when it came to dinner time I just didn't have anything prepared and was too tired to do much. We had my son's 2 yr birthday party yesterday, and I REALLY wanted some chips that everyone else was eating. I stayed away from the really bad stuff (which was hard), but I guess what I susbtituted with was just as bad for me. ![]() This round both P2 and P3 have been hard. (Sorry to be so whiny.) Sure hope my next round is better! |

Good morning fellow stabilizers!!
Debby- I'm sorry this round is being so challenging!! Esp. coming off a good first one!! I think btw. TOM and salt you're likely just retataining water. A CD today is what Simeon's suggested, but if you're only a wee bit above LDW window and know those other factors are at play, I'd do a less strict CD - chicken or eggs or protein shakes. Good luck!!Emel-yeah!! Great job!! hope you do well w/ the cauli pizza. I tried it a few weeks ago (right after P2) and I gained. It might not be the pizza's fault, but my cheese challenge. I am afraid of cheese .Mini-up that protein. You don't want to cannibalize all that lovely muscle tone!! You may metabolize the hcg faster than others and it could be out of your system already. Enjoy!! amap-WOW!! WTG!! That's wonderful!! sounds like a great P3 to me!! Peggy-doing good!! ![]() I'm stabilizing at a nice weight - 152.2 (+1.6 from LDW). I ate 2000 calories yesterday (that's what ****** said - isn't that odd?) . I was a bit concerned but have been slowly upping my cals each day and feeling really good. 28% fat, 28% protein, 45% fat were my ratios yesterday. I had over 100g of carbs !! Even a few tortilla chips in my chicken tortilla soup! I can't believe my body will allow that many carbs w/o gaining. 3 days in a row of froyo too . I know I'm pushing it!! Stats: LDW: 150.6 Today's weight : 152.2 (-0.2 from yesterday) Menu: B:coffee/hnh yogurt and strawberries L:chicken taco soup D: ? not sure yet Overall I am really happy with this P3. I am on day 16 today and seem to be happy here ! YEAH!! |

Thanks, all, for the good words.
I was thinking about cheese. --I'm using fresh water packed mozzarella for my pizza topping. It's 70 cal per oz instead of the usual 110 cal for oz of cheese. I like the water-packed feta, too, but it's hard to find. --Did you know that most pre-shredded cheese has potato starch or corn starch in it to keep it from sticking together? --I like cheese as an add-on, not as a snack. I like a little cheese for flavor on my salad, but even before hcg plan, I very rarely eat a piece of cheese by itself. I think of it as a garnish/flavor additive, not as a food choice. --Do you ever kind of keep mental track of how much of your fat is from dairy? I think if I had HWC or half and half often, I might have trouble if I added cheese. Since I don't use cream, I may have a little more leeway on cheese than others do. |

Debby-I hear ya. When I first started ****** I hated it!! Now I have most of my "regular" foods in there, customized, so it's really easy. I put in the meals for the day, my daily weight and it does the rest of it. I was very ANTI-****** for years! Hope your day goes well!
emel-I didn't really think much about the overall dairy thing. I do enjoy my hnh in my coffee !! Come to think of it, I had some monterey jack on my chicken taco soup yesterday and some mozz. in my salad last night. Maybe the key will be moderation (as with all things!!). I love those LindaSue casseroles, but always have trouble w/ them. Too much cheese - cream cheese, cheddar in the "crusts" and more on top!! Delicious, but just can't seem to maintain on them. I'm wearing a cute (size 8) dress today. Clearance rack at Kohl's - $5!! It's a sheath, and a tad big !! I never wear dresses, but for Vday weekend and church I think I will give it a go!! Wonder if I have tights? ![]() |

Busymom, I can understand your frustration. You've worked so hard to get the weight off. Wish it would stabilize for you. I hope things swing your way soon.
Have some hugs from me, too. ![]() ![]() ![]() Your outfit sounds cute, Julie! I think your point about moderation is exactly what I'm thinking... I just broaden the thought out to include all fats from dairy in all its forms. And we didn't even discuss yogurt/cottage cheese--that counts, too! Last edited by emel; 02-13-2011 at 08:05 AM.. |

Hi everybody!
Weighed in today and I'm about 1 pound under my maintenance weight. I don't understand because I've been eating like a pig!!!! I have a feeling the unexpected period I got kind of threw things. Anywho, I'm not concerned - I'm in my range. It's day 4 and here is the menu for today: B-polish sausage S- apple L- toppings from a supreme pizza and a salad with ff ranch dressing D- big hamburger with cheese and tomatoes Have a great last day of the weekend! Monkey - I forgot to welcome you! We managed to survive P2 together and we can do P3 together. It's great!
