Frustrated
Okay, this is day VLCD 19 for me. The damn scale is pissing me off seriously. My weights the last week:
1/29: 164.2 1/30: 164.6 1/31: 163.8 2/1: 163.4 2/2: 164.2 2/3: 163.8 2/4: 162.7 2/5: 164.0 WTH?!?! I've not cheated. I did have TOM earlier in the week but he's gone. I have no problems in the bathroom. I drink 3L of water a day. My menu is clean and 100% Simeons. Yes I'm down 16 lbs since I started but 7 of those I gained while loading. Yes I'm down inches but I really wanted to get my body to a healthy BMI and this is not going to happen this round. At this rate, I won't get out of the 160s. I've not lost a thing in a week. How is that even possible? I slept well yesterday. I even took a nap.

When did you dance this week? Maybe your muscles are holding onto the water?

How frustrating. Honestly, I would switch something up. Our bodies get used to a certain way of eating SO incredibly fast.
Maybe try a protein and veggie day. You eat 400 grams total of protein - plus 2 servings of veggies. And that's it- no fruits or melbas. I did this and always lost at least a pound the next day. Then the next day eat normal protocol. And brew some "triple threat" tea- Yerbe mate, Green tea and dandelion tea. This stuff is great for stalls. |

You got down to 162.7...I bet you are closer to that weight, it is probably water or something. Even if you are at 164, you still have 5 days of VLC to get out of the 160's! It is doable!!Try the steak day...& the tea! I drank some special tea & I lost 2lbs overnight! Jen, you are doing great...you have lost inches...your clothes are loose! Don't forget the hcg is getting rid of the inches in the stubborn areas that the other diets don't! YOU CAN DO THIS!! Remember this tip from the sticky thread: Tip # 6 Expect days of no loss, small loss and slight gains. This is a very normal part of this protocol. In the hundreds of journeys of other people that I have read, NOT ONE person experienced huge losses EVERYDAY while on protocol. YOU will be NO different. It is NORMAL. DO NOT FREAK OUT!!!!! Stay true to protocol and you will clock good losses as soon as your body has either recovered from working so hard and shedding HUGE losses or your cells release the water with which your body fills up empty fat cells. The cycle seems to be about every 7-10 days, your body will need a period of rest to reset and get ready to work hard again releasing unwanted fat and pounds and inches. Once again, DO NOT FREAK OUT!!!!! It is normal. You are normal. The protocol is STILL working.

Only danced 1 day this week - Thursday for a one hour private lesson. I hardly broke a sweat so not hard even. Friday morning was when I saw the biggest loss for the week and then today is when I saw the +1.3 gain after that.
I already had a melba and an apple today. I may try a steak and tomato day tomorrow. UGH. Where do you get those teas? |

Jenn -- have you read my stall story? I stalled for 2 full weeks, but the inches flew off like crazy during that time. I read up a lot on this -- stalls happen. The body needs time to adjust. I KNOW it is frustrating, but remember that you are still losing fat, it just isn't showing up on the scale -- Simeons addresses this in his protocol.
HANG IN THERE -- the stall will break! |

Was recommended to me on another board to eat 6-8 eggs to break the stall. Could have them scrambled, hard boiled or "deviled" with mustard/vinegar. I think I'll do that tomorrow and see where I end up.

Hopefully your stall is broken by now, but I totally understand your frustration!! Some rounds the stall is week 2, but it's usually week 3, so you're right on track. I'd stick to it. Keep it clean and if you're following strict protocol I'm not sure an egg day is your best bet. That's more for in P3 correction day. I think the apple day is more compatible w/ the low fat Simeon's plan. You've got a bit more time and I hope the scale starts going down soon for you. We've all been there and share your frustration!! You've done so well and I hope you reach your goal!!

Stall broke! Down 1.1!
And on the egg thing...I'm on another board where I post every day and am monitored with what I'm eating, etc. and given suggestions based upon what they know works best. It's all for HCG people and great. They were the ones who recommended the egg day over apple or steak even. Apple day would have tore my stomach up. I could not have done it. Today is my last dosing day! Down 19 (okay 18.9) pounds! SO excited to be done! Thursday cannot come soon enough! |

Yup...that's where I heard about taking all your drops in the morning on your last day. It was recommended I do that and then eat 750 tomorrow and then 1000 calories on Wed before moving over to P3. Makes sense to up calories now to help stabilize so that our bodies don't freak going from 500 to 1800 calories. I still need to calculate my BMR and figure out what I'm going to eat on Thursday. I don't think they recommend HWC as what you add on first but not sure. MAN I miss coffee!!
Can't drink it without cream. |

You must be in Bootcamp!! I was in it til I started P2. I don't need it in P2, just for P3 and P4. I know they prefer half and half but I have never had any trouble with my heavy whipping cream. That was my first "food" on P3 after my very first round. I so did miss my cream too. Goody for you that you can have some soon!! Good luck!! |

Yay!! Good job on breaking the stall. And don't be surprised if you lose a bit more (make it an even 19 at least
) in the next 2 days. That will give you some wiggle room in P3. Glad to hear they endorse an egg day in P2 at the bootcamp. I thought they were so strict about the protocol that would never be a suggestion . I'm a rogue myself, so I've had half/half in my coffee the whole time I was on P2. The egg day would really appeal to me!!Have a good last few days and we'll see you here in P3ville soon!! |

I really did enjoy my time in it because I learned so much. Biz is very much into experimenting. Right now she has a lifetimer on P2 doing different "days" on P2 to see how they would work. As in the egg day on P2. It was an experiment, worked and now they suggest that to break a stall. There is also a shake day in P2 I am learning about. I might try that one after trying out the egg day. It is quite fascinating to be in the middle of it all!!!Oh, and cream in the coffee---so me in P2!!!! So, I guess I am a rogue/rebel too??!!! For Pete's sake I work at a coffee shop....it is all around me. I cannot help it!!! LOL

Dawn I would die working at a coffee shop. Slurp!! HWC won out this morning as my fat to add back in! Oh morning coffee, oh how I missed you! I'll take the 150 calories that 3 tablespoons in my cup-o-joe cost me!
I cut out melba yesterday - BC had suggested maybe it contributed to my slower losses the third week. Down .9 today! Wiggle room!! I could not do a steak day. I loved reading that someone said they never had to do one in P3 and that Biz helped her out with that. The thought of a chicken day is MUCH more appealing! I could live off rotisserie chicken - we have a rotisserie oven at home. Eating that a whole day starting with the dark meat and making chicken salad out of the white? That sounds like HEAVEN and not much of a correction day at all! I'm almost hoping for a correction day just to eat that. LOVE being in BC. |

I have to say it is hard working at Starbucks doing the P2. I work 2 nights a week where I shut down the kiosk, so that means that I have to "throw away" the pastries. That means that whatever we don't sell we can take home, or simply throw away. But I won't allow things to go to waste so I end up taking things I should NOT home. Bad for me because I brought home 2 cupcakes the other day. Thank goodness my kids ate them before I could even look at them LOL. But it is also good for me since I can bring home any leftover coffee that we have ground for the day. Never say no to free coffee!!! So if I have an extra cup of coffee--it is much better than anything else I could be having at work. LOL. I am glad you enjoyed that cup of coffee!!! yummy!!!!! I am so glad I am a black coffee kinda gal -- I love coffee, and live on the stuff! I do enjoy the occasional treat with cream and such, but on a daily basis, I like it strong, dark, and straight black.

i'm glad the scale started moving for you and that you're almost done!
are you allowed to share with this "bootcamp" spot is? it sounds interesting! i'm about to start my first round so maybe it isn't a good idea when you're brand new? but i'm still curious (maybe because I love eggs ) |

my apologies for asking before I tried to find it myself...i found the bootcamp mentoring option. may i ask if people find it worthwhile and if you'd suggest it right away or maybe only if / when you run in to obstacles?

The bootcamp is a paid service. I find it not very valuable in P2 only because P2 is so straightforward. Follow the guidelines in Dr Simeon's protocol and you will lose the weight. But if you are nervous.....very much worth it. I join when I start P3---that is where I tend to fall apart. Well not so much P3, but P4s I am horrible at LOL. I am going to join when I am done with my current P2.

No! Not mean! LOL. The purpose of Boot Camp is follow the program to the letter but there are girls in P2 who check in who didn't. They don't yell or say anything when you "do something wrong" but give GREAT tips for things like when I weighed 164.2 one Saturday and 164 the next Saturday and was frustrated which caused me to post this. I got great advice for my stall. I like that it held me accountable for what I was eating and how my weight did. Very much worth it to me.
