Anyone else notice their palate changing?

I'm still finding this an odd experience. Foods are more strongly flavored to me (not always a good thing!), and sweet things like fruit or diet soda tastes really really sweet now. Anyone else finding this to be the case for them? Or am I a mutant? Hey, I've been accused of worse!

Fellow mutant here. After not eating fruit for so long on LC, it is REALLY sweet. I've also noticed spices seem to be stronger.

I've noticed that about spices also, particularly strong, sharp ones (like pepper or ginger). I am glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing this - I'm insane enough without having to think I'm imagining this.

I agree - it makes eating nice, simple, plain foods much more pleasurable. I notice in P4 the tastebuds start to dull again with the addition of starches, even the little I do eat. It is definitely a vlcd thing for me.

Nope. No change whatsoever in me!! I still love my chocolate and all that bad stuff for me when I am done with P2. I sure wish I could say I don't want it, but I have the feeling I am doomed for life with this addiction. And it truly is an addiction with me.

No, I haven't noticed any changes with taste The only thing I notice is if I eat too much I get gaggy, like my body is telling me I'm overdoing it. But, for your original question, I have not experienced any differences in taste.

I have no tolerance for salt anymore. I don't use extra salt, and eating in a restaurant where they do really throws me for a loop!

Things taste extra sweet to me, too, OR what I have noticed the most is if I taste something processed, it just tastes like a bunch of chemicals!

I'm with Dawn on this one. I so wish I could join you guys in saying Im a changed girl. Sadly, I still have a taste for the bad stuff, still use too much salt and don't like apples unless it's HoneyCrisp LOL.

Oh well, at least I know my plight.

Totally agree with this. I just about swooned over my dinner tonight, sweet and spicy shrimp and cabbage! I NEVER thought I would get excited about 8 shrimp and a bunch of sauteed cabbage!
