I'm stuffed !! Glad to go VLC tomorrow!
Hi,
I am on day 2 of loading - and I am so stuffed. I went to bed early last night because I felt so full that I actually felt uncomfortable. I ate bacon/eggs/full fat mayo/olive oil to fry and I made a brilliant whip with double cream, cocoa powder/vanilla essence and dessicated coconut - actually I will be glad to see the empty bowl by tonight! Having roast pork and oven chips for dinner later. I like the psychological effect of stuffing out as you are so glad to have a lot less to eat for a few days after and that gives you a chance to get onto the low calories you go to. My OH asked if I really was on a diet -with all I have eaten - and he has not hesitated on joining me on the bacon sandwiches with full fat mayo! I did get upset yesterday as I had a friend take my before photos - front, back and sides and I did have a shock - it was quite painful to see what I looked like from the back! Also my measurements - I was 4 inches bigger in the bust and 3 inches bigger in the waist than I thought - no wonder my clothes don't fit or are too tight! I have ignored things for a while as I was dealing with thyroid problems and waiting for meds to be stabilised - and now I understand that this diet might actually help so that I can reduce or stop them altogether so that can only be good. BUT _ I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED AND THIS HAS MADE ME EVER MORE DETERMINED TO MAKE THIS HCG DIET DO WHAT IT SAYS! I will post my before and after photos on here after I have completed round one. I am so glad I found this forum. Viollet |

Violet - I did the same right before I started P1. Those photos can be a nasty shock can't they?
Btw, welcome!! I am just finshing up my second week. On P1 (strict low carb, no alcohol clease), I lost almost 10 pounds, most of which was water weight. I gained 3.7 pounds doing a very high fat, low carb load for 2 days. After 13 days of P2, I am happy to say that I am down 12 pounds from my preload weight and almost 16 from my post load weight. I have definitely dropped at least a pants size. On a completely unrelated note, maybe this is a silly question but what is an OH? See ya around the boards! |

Yay! I just finished my second day of loading too. I feel like hurling. I am looking forward to the VLCD tomorrow. I hope I don't go through withdrawals again, like I did the first week of Atkins. I ate carbs the past couple days, and my body wasn't used to it. So I hope I don't feel icky or hungry tomorrow.
I am sooo excited to get started! ![]() |

I loaded last week for the first time ladies and let me tell you I felt the same way, icky doodle I can't wait to stop eating-ness. I stuck it out because they say it helps keep the hunger away the first week.
I have not felt hunger other than the time I took too many drops. I look forward to your losses! |

Ginja, that is GREAT to hear! I hope it's the same for me. How are you liking it so far? Are you losing at a pace you had hoped for?

I had no set in stone expectations about how much I would lose daily and I still don't. I am focusing on sticking to the protocol. The scale however has confirmed that it is working for me. I'm down 10.4 lbs this week and that is with me eating hosp cafeteria food one day. |

Wow, congrats for you, lady! That's fantastic! Keep up the good work!
I still have not exercised, and I had been doing Atkins for four weeks. I really need to start. I want sexy upper arms and shoulders so that I can wear sleeveless tops this summer! |

Thank you!
Advice on exercising through the protocol is that you aren't supposed to start something new if you haven't been doing it already. Some people notice a slowdown in their losses when they exercise so if you do it, be prepared for that. I am not in a huge hurry and I like the exercise so it works for me ymmv. Look forward to seeing you in the weekly threads!!! |

I felt the same way!!! I just loaded all weekend and started my vlcd1 today. It feels great so far. I was tired of eating all that food! I did gain 5.8 pounds though, which others have assured me will come off fast!
I also took my before photos and was pretty disgusted and shocked! Wow....but BOY is it motivation to get this going and stick to it. Gosh I'm looking at them right now on my phone and REALLY wishing I had NOT had my husband take them for me. Geez...I wouldn't blame him for never wanting to touch me again! hahaha It's painful looking at them though and realizing how out of control things became. What's crazy is I've actually lost 35+ pounds doing low carb, so these before pictures are actually somewhat AFTER pictures. I know I will be glad I have them later to look back on and keep me from ever doing this again. I wish you all the best in your journey!! I know you will do great. -Kari |
