New-some questions for mature ladies

I am seriously considering the hcg diet - however...i am concerned with more facial sagging and wrinkles due to the quick weight loss. I lost alot of weight on WW - looked older - gained all the weight back so now i am here. I am 58 and dont need anymore sag/wrinkles. Any info. on this ? Are you doing facial excersice along with the diet ? Or is this not an issue ? I will not be able to afford plastic surgery.

I am 46 YO and have lost a lot in a short amount of time on HCG. This diet is different in that you don't get that gaunt look that you can get on other rapid weight loss plans. Google "Pounds and Inches". Dr. Simeon explains how you lose on this plan.

I am 55 and have gone from 204 on hcg to 166. I have been asked if I've had a facelift. The results are amazing. You won't be disappointed. Go for it!

Whats the census on the best drops, do you take b12 drops too ??? Can't wait to join you guys - i am so depressed, gained all the weight back after WW - my avatar is a thin pic....are you starving ? I hope it is simple-no time to make meals with work, etc. Are you exercising too ? I would love to join you guys.

I bought mine through my MD and it's really expensive. I've never been hungry on it.

Many people here use the homeopathic and have had great results. I believe one of the (Fusion?) has extra B12 etc in it. I am thinking about trying it next time instead of paying almost $300 for the prescription.

Good Luck!

Here's what used to be my signature line:

"I lost 41 lbs. on WW and gained 18 of it back in 8 months. Obviously I don't believe that nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." Can you relate?

I've only started this and can't offer any advice about quick weight loss and sagging, yet. But at 57 I totally understand your concern. You've come to the right place for support and info.

Welcome

I am 43, and definitely noticing that this diet is much kinder to the face -- my face tends to thin way out and become gaunt long before I lose in the lower body -- and that is NOT happening this time!

I've used Natural Health Labs. (3 times) You can google it to find where it is being sold.
There is a thread started by Mistydisa you can look at titled "Got the okay to ask...what's the best brand of homeopathic hcg?." Check it out. Hope this helps. Debbie

I used the Yavonae drops (with alcohol) and also added a product called Weight Off that is made my Mediral. I am very, very pleased with them. I also just added the b12 drops, and have been taking a good multivitamin and extra potassium -- a lot of us need the potassium supplements.

Definitely NOT starving! There has been very minimal hunger altogether on this plan, except a few days when my dose was off. I adjusted the dose, and the hunger went away completely. I would not have been happy doing even 23 days of this protocol if I were consistently hungry, and I certainly wouldn't have decided to extend to the 40 days! If you just do a little planning, this is honestly a very simple, straightforward, and extremely effective protocol.

I am doing light exercise only -- walking/hills/stairs as a part of my normal daily life. I worked out once, but it was a bit too much on such a restrictive plan (and I am out of condition for working out at the moment.) I plan to hit the workouts very hard in p3 (the next phase of the program.)

Don't bother with a book --- I did, and it was honestly a waste of money. You can learn everything you need to know from reading the protocol (which is free) and reading these forums here.

Come on aboard --I can almost guarantee you'll love it!

you will look older when you lose, however you do it. the exercises mostly increase wrinkles, though if you actually built MUSCLE it could plump up some sagging areas. I have really never heard of anyone doing that though.

clearly gaining and losing will make it worse, so best to be confident you can keep off anything you decide to lose.

I don't think this is a good reason to stay at an unhealthy weight. good luck.

Raven's right about the gaining and losing -- that definitely does a number on one's facial skin. I am pretty aggressive about anti-aging skin care/supplements/etc., and that does help. Also, the immediate wrinkling that happens after a large loss is often temporary -- the skin adjusts somewhat in time.

I am surprised, though, that my face doesn't seem to be losing right now at all -- this is a good, good thing! I want to keep all the facial fat I can!

I have been busy researching the drops now......soooo many. Now i have read that the real hcg drops would be sent from overseas - it seems everything else is homeopathic but if it is working thats great ! - another question - are you allowed unlimited black coffee ?

You are allowed unlimited black coffee, but I guess it would be good to not drink like gallons of it or anything.

Good luck!

I drink nearly gallons of black coffee

Most of us have done great on the homeopathic drops.... I was the ultimate skeptic about them, but I can't argue with results!

I'm drinking quite a bit of coffee myself, but I can't claim the level of success you have had--yet!

I'm in my mid forties and lost 30 lbs on my first hhcg round. While I saw a thinning of my face i did not see marked negative results.

I did reward myself with Botox at the end of it (I love the tox )

It was very different than other diets - I think if you read pounds and inches it may help explain why.

HTH

I love botox, too -- but I can't afford to do it regularly. I have found several DIY stopgap measures to slow aging, though.... Still....if I could get botox every 5 months for the rest of my life, I'd be right there doing it!

I've had such violent headaches lately my awesome BF just got it for me. For whatever reason they are far less when I have the tox at least in my globella (frown line) area. I hadn't had it for a year - i couldn't afford it either.

I'm all about the stopgaps if you want to share those
You look fantastic - very inspiring!

Another Botox fan here! A week from tomorrow for my treatment. But hey, if it keeps me looking 35 when I'm in my 40's, I'll take it! 'Course I've done a WHOLE lot of experimenting with cosmetic procedures! (If you're curious, just ask!)

Tazcat -- botox nearly eliminates my migraines, too. Amazing -- I wish insurance would cover it. The globella seems to be the most important part for headaches, in my experience.

Maybe we should start a skincare/anti-aging thread?

I wasn't sure if mine were migraines - i've had a history of both hormonal migraines and stress headaches - both very severe.

I agree - it makes a big enough difference that i wish insurance would cover it. The last week was debilitating for me.

the globella is key for me - i've been working on that wrinkle area since i was about 10

I'm curious about the cosmetic procedures too -- I had a few laser treatments (IPL), and have done fillers before... if I had money, I'd be doing all kinds of things! And botox, of course.

I am obsessed with skincare also Botox won't help my jaw line / mouth ( sides of ) issues. The pricy fillers may......but it was so much $ that i would rather have a facelift if i had the money. I had the full face laser about 10 years ago - it worked - but the wrinkles com back eventually. Are you guys using your beauty creams, etc. while on the diet ? I see there is some issues there...or are we doing nothing on the diet, no creams, makeup, etc. I am still in a big turmoil over getting the real hcg or the homeopathic. I will start a thread today for Real hcg and see if i get any feedback. What is the name of the product you are using - i know you can say that - just not the website.
