Needing to do a correction day already on P3
I'm sure it was from my goof from eating the bread. I got on the scale today and I was at 215.2 that is up from 212.0
![]() I'm really super bummed right now and can't believe this happened. I am trying to just do and apple day today and hoping it will help. If it doesnt I guess the steak day will need to be tried. I really feel like kicking myself in the butt and feel like I have let myself down somehow. |

Well my thought on this type of thing is that if it was that easily gained it can be that easily lost again. Easy come, easy go. I'm not sure how many pieces of the Ezekiel bread you ate, but unless you ate like a whole loaf of it I don't see how you could gain 3 pounds! However, if you have been low carbing for awhile, the carbs from the bread can act like a sponge and make you retain a lot of water. That's why people who low carb all the time blow up like a balloon when they veer off plan and have something carby.
Keep in mind that what you eat one day doesn't necessarily show up the very next day. It may be something you did a couple of days ago or it may be something completely unrelated. I would just blow it off and do the rest of your P3 as planned. The steak and apple days are just gimmicks anyway IMHO |

I agree that the apple day is mostly a gimmick, although I do think it helps to get the digestion working properly again. Steak days are probably great for kicking one back into ketosis after a slip, and probably have more utility in the long run.... but I totally agree with Lucky --- just assume it is water weight from the bread, and move on forward with p3 -- I suspect it will be fine.

it was an honest mistake - do your correction day, or eat a clean p3 day, see what the scale says tomorrow, and move on. no sense in beating yourself up about it, it's over! seriously, no worries. you'll be fine, i know it.

You guys are probably right about the water weight. As I was reading your replies I realised it may be water weight from "TOM". I am at the tail end of it right now and that could be the case too... (not to be tmi)
I'm just going to keep on with the P3 phase as normal and realise it will come off again when I start back on P2 again and not over stress myself...well at least try not too...lol! |
