Good Morning!! Marking my spot. Still struggling with the stall...183 and holding. It's very frustrating. Not sure if it's a typical stall or due to stress. But I'll keep on keeping on. Was hoping for a few big loss days from the stall before moving onto P3 next week. If something doesn't happen with the scales soon, I'll stop my drops Thursday or Friday.
Waiting at the hospital for grma to wake up and the doctors to see her...if anything losing 40 lbs. has made me feel strong, and hopefully that will keep me strong with life in general. Have a great week!

I've been teetering between 183 and 184 for a week now and that's only because Ms. Bernice paid a visit I think. I had this same stall in R1. I'm just more frustrated this round because I've really been having to fight the cravings, and when I make it through the day with no cheats when I REALLY want food, it's frustrating not to see the scale move. I may do the steak day if nothing magical happens over the next day or two.

![]() I had PLENTY of days like that last round. BUT, I never had enough days, in a row, to justify a true stall. You have. I would do an apple, or modified steak day to get things moving again, but THAT is just what I would do. I have never done one of these, but it seems to work for many people. Also, have you taken your measurements? It seems that many are losing inches...even if the scale is not moving. Maybe, that is what is going on. BUT...a week at the same weight justfies a "true" stall. So, do whatever you feel comfortable with. ![]() |

L&F - from the old thread. First of all
You said you keep doing this to yourself every time you get under 200. Something to look at is why do you keep sabotaging yourself? Why do you feel you aren't good enough to be at your goal weight? Trust me I know they aren't easy questions, I've had to look at them myself. I know it's hard. I'm a firm believer in weight loss is 99.5% mental. Really losing weight is easy - don't eat as much and exercise, right? But there's so much "stuff" that gets in the way of doing just that and all that "stuff" is in a person's head. Get the mind right and the rest will follow. Gotta run to work. I'm down 1.8 today! Total 13.5 on VLCD 6! Really holy crap. I lost 15 the first month on LC when I weighed 225 to start. Can I really lose that IN A WEEK? I can't wait for tomorrow!

After my small gain yesterday of 0.3 (admittedly disappointing), I am down 1.4 this morning (or 1.1 from my lowest this round) for a total of 5.5 in 7 days (not counting load weight). I think that is something like 1.3 per day. Hopefully I can keep this up for the rest of my round. I know that's kind of unrealistic but a girl can dream...

I think you are so right!!! I have such a hard time with the mental side of this. I don't feel I deserve to be 115. Obviously since I cannot stay there I really need to find out why. I have never been there for any length of time and when people are telling you that you are too skinny...it plays with your mind. I love the way I look, why cannot everyone around me be happy for me? Mind games, truly mind games. The weight loss is easy---just follow the rules and it comes off. The hard part----keeping it off. Even when you have a "plan" to follow. Really I don't think that Simeon's addresses the problems or even explains the after part too well. A sentence doesn't cut it in my book!!!! I love that we are talking about all this here though....gives us things to think about. When you cannot concentrate on food, what else is there???!!! Wow you are kicking butt!!!! You go girl!!! ![]() ![]()

Holy Crap Ladies! You all are kicking but!![]() Can I borrow some of that weightloss? LOL! I'm down .4 from yesterday with a week end of 10.6 pounds. While I should be happy with this I gained 9 pounds loading so if you go by my pre-load weight I've only lost a little over a pound. Not so happy about that! I didn't get to measure as the kids found where I had hidden my measuring tape and it has now gone MIA. I totally agree about the whole mental aspect of weightloss. I've been low carbing for 7 1/2 years and I seem to sabbotage myself quite often. I still can't get past rewarding myself (and now the kids) with food. My highest weight was 287, my lowest 164, right now I'm at 168. Everytime I hit a new low I manage to sabbotage it and gain a good 10 pounds, then pout that I have to reloose it. I'm so negative about my goal weight telling myself and others that I'll never hit it. Then why even try, huh? Lately I've been really in the dumps and really negative about lots of things (including dieting). ![]() |

I really recommend doing a complete P3/P4 for your first round. It gives your body a chance to recover and reshape and when you start your next round you will be really ready to lose again. Good Luck!

Major typos last post. lol
I agree with the comments about our mental state. When I could feel myself getting out of control yesterday I made my husband eat all the food. (And for the record I still only had P3 legal food just way too much of it). He then gave this whole speech about how I'm not fat and I'm losing too much weight. Hello? I weigh 183 pounds! What an idiot. |

You are right Peggy I would love to be in a size 6 jeans but if I am not healthy and I am starving myself to be there then I would rather be in a size 8 jeans and be healthy. My goal weight is 125, my healthy range is between 117 and 141 I just want to be in the BMI healthy range for my height whether that means a size 6 or size 8.

Its so true about being healthy, but there's a vanity side too! My blood pressure is great, my blood sugar-wonderful. I was on glucophage for years for pcos and insullin resistance and now everything is fine. I run regularly and spent the afternoon bouncing at a bounce house with the kids and didn't break a sweat. Now its time to flatten these wrinkles so to say. LOL!
Yes, I'll be stopping on the way home to get yet another tape measure. Number 3, not that I'm keeping track or anything. |

Hello Ladies,
Glad to hear that everyone is doing so well. Unfortunately, my roast beef and brocolli yesterday showed up on the scale. I'm up a pound. I don't feel too badly about it. I did what I could in a tough situation. I'm gonna just move on today. AveryJean, you are exactly correct. I know that my weight loss or gain is completely mental. Well, good thing that right now my head is in the game. It just is period. I normally would have freaked out about yesterday. Fact is stuff happens. We are gonna get caught in situations. We have to adjust and move on. I will drink exta water and tea today. Im just gonna keep moving and hope that I can lose it today and then some. Ladies, lets stay focused. Lost and Found, been there done that wrote the book lol. I would just get back on plan and consider it a interuption. Apple day or vlc day probably isnt gonna be so much of a diff. Just do it. I'm concerned about stablizing. I guess I will worry about that when it comes. One day at a time. Hugs to all, Makeup ![]() |

Gosh darnit! So I broke down and measured myself with a tapemeasure I found here at work.... not an inch off the midsection. I don't remember my arm measurements so I'll have to wait until I get home to check.
That is excellent! I am so glad that you are now healthy!! Not everyone who has lost the weight that you have is so fortunate,.....and congrats on the loss. That is amazing. I hope to be right where you are someday! You'll get there! When you set your mind to it, it'll happen! After about the first 50 all my health issues seem to disappear. I feel very fortunate for that! Already starving. I guess I'll eat an early lunch today! I'm changing it up a bit this week and packed cottage cheese (skim milk variety), tomatoes and a 1/2 a grapefruit. I didn't get any cooking done yesterday so I'll be doing that tonight. Poached fish tonight- this will be my first attempt at that! |
