Type A

D'Adamo says that people with blood type A have thickened blood. He says that eating meat can make the blood even thicker, and can cause type-As to die younger. Foods that are good for a type A to eat include vegetables, seafood, tofu, legumes, grains and fruit. For maximum weight loss, type As should eat foods cooked in or containing vegetable oil, foods made from soy, vegetables and pineapple. Foods that type As should avoid include meat and dairy products, lima beans, kidney beans and foods made with wheat.
Eat Right For Blood Type Official Blood Type Diet® Site. Vitamins, Books And Test Kits!

Type B

People with type B blood can eat a variety of foods. Choose from meat, dairy, legumes, grains, fruits and vegetables. Type Bs should not eat chicken. Leafy greens, eggs, venison, licorice, liver and tea will help type Bs lose weight. Besides chicken, foods that type Bs should avoid include corn, lentils, peanuts, sesame seeds, buckwheat and foods containing wheat.
Type AB

Blood type ABs can enjoy most foods in moderation, according to D'Adamo. Pork, dairy, tofu, poultry, seafood, fruits, vegetables, legumes and grains are all beneficial to type ABs. If you are trying to lose weight, the best foods to eat are tofu, seafood, dairy products, kelp and pineapple. Foods that type AB people should avoid are red meat, kidney and lima beans, corn, seeds and buckwheat.
Type O

People who are type O are said to have the thinnest blood and the hardiest stomachs. For this reason, D'Adamo recommends that they eat high protein diets and limit their carbohydrates. Meat, fish, fruits and vegetables are the most beneficial foods for type Os. Foods that will help you lose weight are kelp, seafood, salt, liver, red meat and some leafy greens, such as kale, spinach and broccoli. Type Os should avoid wheat, corn, beans, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, cabbage and mustard greens.

Hmmmm...I wonder if this is, also, why some people have troubles when they eat shrimp on this protocol, and some do not? This is VERY interesting. When limiting our foods, the way in which we do with this protocol, it may be helpful in finding out which foods are "good" for us. Okay...every baby that I had, I had to have an IV to stop the bleeding, as they said that my blood was too thin, and wasn't clotting good enough? I am type O.

WOW! Thanks for the post. I had completely forgotten the "thin blood" thing. I've always had problems with bruising! Just one more reason to pay attention to what I'm eating - now and in the future.

I lost 41 lbs. on Weight Watchers and gained 18 back in 8 months. Obviously I don't believe that "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels."

Day 2

I'm a bit mentally hungry but not really physically. The mental part is hard though

I think i mentioned it in her before but i can't eat fish (allergies) so i sub in egg whites or cottage cheese.

Today i had egg whites, spinach, grapefruit, rubber meat patty ( very lean) , cabbage and strawberries

And a ton of water (esp for me who generally reserves water for showers and baths)

I'll be glad to have week one under my belt.

As a type A-, i can tell you that despite what that list says, I function better on high amounts of protein. And there's NO WAY I'm giving up meat, LOL. And I hate veg, which is even funnier.

I am an A- as well! Great link....

I wonder how the negatives come in to play? This is REALLY interesting to me.
My friend...the one who doesn't need to lose any weight...doesn't like meat a whole lot...and she is type O. Anyways, she eats meat, but not much red meat, and she ended up having to take iron because her counts were WAY off. Now, she "tries" to follow this, and her blood pressure, and iron levels, are better...and she feels MUCH better. To me, that is the most important thing...our "general" health.

EXACTLY. It won't help me at all if I lose the weight, keep it off and then am sick all the time! Or in so much pain I'm miserable.

And as an 'A', I'm supposed to have 'thick blood', but I bruise if you look at me funny. I think there might be *some* merit to this stuff, but like everything else, it obviously doesn't apply to all. Just wait till I'm off P2 and I'll show them about type A and meat, ROFL.

Jenifer and toomuchbooty- I've been at the same weight'ish also - and this am I finally dropped 2 pounds to 181.2. It really surprised me. Us and Michlady I think also - I've been stuck at 183-184 for what seemed like forever.

I'm on injections and I notice a big drop after every "skip" day (supposed to skip one day a week) - kinda like the drop that happens after you stop hcg at the end.

Has anyone else on injections noticed that?

And I'm an O, thank the Lord, because I really love red meat - and it loves me ! But weird about the cabbage - I eat purple cabbage alot - helps with "elimination" LOL - and I never noticed if it stalled me, but I don't think so. I love it best cut up with my apple, a little ACV and stevia like a sweet and sour dressing. Yum.

I bought my first jeans that weren't from a plus-size store in about 25 years yesterday - I could zip, button, and wear them - astounding. I started at a 24 and these were a 14.

Only 4.2 pounds left to my mini-goal for this round. I think I have 14 days left of my 40.

Every night, wow! Yes, I see why now, a veggie variety is good

I love cabbage but interestingly enough I can only eat it shredded in either in coleslaw or cooked with my meat, a Runza use to be one of my favorite sandwiches, mmm. Anyway, if I eat cabbage in larger pieces I bloat. I don't understand it but it's real, really weird.

I love to SMELL the food -- can you do that and walk away? Sometimes, I breathe really really deeply, hold it up to me, (mouth shut LOL) and inhale, holding it in for a minute -- and then I can walk away.

Do you trust yourself to try that? Get right up to it and really really smell it -- half our taste is smell-driven. That is usually enough for me and then the craving goes away.

I wouldn't dream if cheating, it's just a torturous smell to deal with when cookies are forbidden.

I'm just thinking if you actually "embrace" the smell, enjoy the smell, and then walk away, it might help. It does me.

Is it a bad sign for how the day is going to be if you break your freaking scale?

AARGH! Scale needed a new battery, so I moved the thin metal strip that holds it in place and it snapped OFF!! I tried just putting the battery in and it will not work.

I jumped on my regular scale (Healthometer heavy duty one) and I like that number on THAT one. I am 3 lbs down on that!! I am going to have to buy a new digital scale tho to keep track of smaller losses and gains. Until then...I will enjoy the 3lbs lost it tells me, but I am not including it in my total lost for this round. I will have to just start counting from here on...unless I go out and get a scale today...which I might!!

What a day and I haven't even had my shot yet!!

I cannot imagine having to deal with THAT smell!! yikes. I'd have to leave home, I think! Hopefully your mom is planning on taking them somewhere outside the house. I might have to give them away! Good luck. Booty - BTW - I took a look at your blog and found it fascinating. Is there someplace I could go to read more about your goals and how to support your efforts?

Just checking in before heading off to work. I'm happy to report I'm down one whole lb. this morning I've been dropping slowly so one whole pound seems like a lot to me! I'm wondering if it's because I ate raspberries instead of strawberries (back to the blood type discussion)?? I know that's not on Simeons' list, but don't feel as if I've strayed too far.

I hope everyone has a great day with lots of energy and great releases.

Thanks to all of you for your ongoing support.
