Loading is necessary. Most have the load weight off plus some by the 4th day. Some have gained 10 pounds loading! I gained over 6. Enjoy it! |

I drink close to 2 gallons of water, if you count the herbal tea that I drink. But then I'm crazy that way...
![]() Everything I've read says to not be hungry your first week, you need to load and load well on fats. I gained 3.7 pounds on a low carb, high fat load. Last edited by shelbyla; 01-30-2011 at 01:39 PM.. Reason: . |

My first round I did 40 days, 2nd round I think 35, and 3rd round I think was like 26. I'm about day 29vlc right now. Down another .8 to 179 even. But I weighed really late so I probably will stay the same or even bobble up a bit tomorrow when I weigh early. So I'm only 2 pounds from my minigoal for this round. I may keep on past that, depending - up to the 40 days total. I really REALLY want to get to the 90-lb lost mark, which as you can see is 177. A pound or two past that for cushion would be awesome. I originally wanted to get to 100 pounds lost, but I gained so dang much loading, and I've stalled out so much this round, it won't be possible.

Okay you guys....I think I went a little ridiculous today on loading! LOL This is what I ate today:
Breakfast: 2 and a half kolaches, 2 donuts, grande white chocolate mocha from starbucks Lunch: 2 pieces of pizza and a philly cheese steak sandwich dinner: Bowl of captain crunch cereal and peanut butter toast and a couple of bites of chocolate cake. Wow....I'm embarrassed! hahaha I really should have probably eaten a little better. More fatty stuff I guess. Less carbs. Oh well. I think I went a little crazy today because I honestly haven't eaten stuff like this in about 8 months! I have at least lost 35 pounds since last August doing low carb. I cooked my lunch for a few days this week. I'm really looking forward to starting the vlcd1 and seeing some results. :-) Hope everyone has a great week this week!! |

Yes, I do. Once or twice I've had the 2 eggs instead of one egg and 3 additional whites. Other than that, no variation. I often leave out melba/grissini, in fact, hardly ever have them. I sometimes leave out one fruit. I measure my protein very carefully. I do eat a lot of beef, and that makes some people stall, but it doesn't me. (unless I would get better results and I wouldn't know it, LOL). I sometimes use fat-free cottage-cheese also, but just the very small amount. I haven't done that yet on this round. I wasn't sure if on R3 it caused slow downs. oh, also my 3rd round, I did try the chocolate de-lite. I measured ketones and everything, and appeared to be burning more ketones with that and a few macadamia nuts -- but I had a hard time maintaining this time, as opposed to after R2 - and so I decided if that might be the variable, I wasn't going to do that again. So back to strict protocol for me. I've only got one week left, and 2-4 pounds left to lose, 2 to get to my mini-goal, and I'd like an additional pound or 2 for buffer. So we'll see! |
