Yeah, I'm guessing it's that combo - all the salt in the pickles and no water. Swell you right up. I bet you'll flush pretty well once your kidneys figure out you're not trying to kill them When I do that, I swell up like a Macy's Turkey Day parade balloon. I don't care though, sometimes you just need a good pickle. Wink wink.

As for me, checking in today, I'm back down to pre-load weight! FINALLY! (Laughs at self, it's only Wednesday ferchrissakes). But at least from here on out, it's "real" weight loss! I'm not due to take measurements until Friday, but I feel like my waist is at least back where I was before loading, and my yoga pants don't feel as tight through the hip and thigh, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Of course, with MY luck, the pants will merely have stretched out.

I might have to try this colon cleanse! I'm thinking if I start on a Thurday then it should really hit home on the weekend. I only work a 1/2 day on Friday so if it did effect me then I wouldn't be at work long anyway. Ok, if there's no major loss for tomorrow I'm going out and getting me some!

I do feel a little stopped up, but then again bernice only visits about 1-2 times a week anyway so I havn't been too concerned. A good cleaning couldn't hurt anyway!

Ok, to all this cookie talk. I have 2 little kids and while they follow low-carb to some degree I don't want them growing up with a mom who doesn't bake for them so I bake regularly. My daughter also got an easy bake oven for Christmas so we've been giving that thing a workout! The ONLY thing I have issues with when it comes to baking for them is icing cookies. I LOVE my buttercream frosting and no matter how hard I try I always end up eating some. Sugar cookies and buttercream frosting is outlawed in my house whenever I am being super strick with my caloric/carb intake! I've never met a sugar cookie I didn't want to eat!

Being positive and good today.... it's only 10:45 a.m. and I've had 17 ounces of water and about the same amount in coffee! Spending lots of time in the bathroom today!

You know, I have to agree with you dawn, I too am a type A and I've lost just fine eating shredded cabbage, sirloin beef, chicken and lamb. If I remember correctly it showed walnuts were recommended for me to eat but I can't because I break out in hives when I do. This just doesn't apply to me.

Haven't done it on this program, but I like to slice an onion like the chinese restaurants slice it, then put it in a covered pot with some beef broth to simmer. You could experiment with chicken broth or veg broth to match your protein choice, but I've only done it with beef.

If you've got the oven on, wrap a whole peeled onion with salt and pepper and a little water in foil and bake til as soft as you want. Or in the foil, chunked up, on the grill. Not great, but okay. We do this camping sometimes if we're short on grill space.. just plop them on the coals.

Yes, what emel said! I use my crockpot a lot for cooking meat and veges, specifically onions

Morning Check-in....down another 2lbs. Now I am a lb away from what I weighed before loading. I have a couple of questions to ask:

1. I noticed no turkey is listed as a protein option, does anyone know why? I would like to use ground turkey instead of beef.

2. My husband is doing this with me and has to travel on business, he issted I ask you all if he cheats what cheats are ok: example he wants to eat no butter 100 calorie pack of popcorn. He only has a super walmart to shop at and is worried he doesn have many options.

Im going to really start researching on some less boring recipes then i have been doing today!

Hope everyone is staying strong and see some loss.

Ciao for now

How long is he travelling for? He might want to read the section in "Pounds and Inches" on interruptions.

I had this issue with my Dh too! I pointed him to those pre-cooked grilled chicken strips and the cooked shrimp if they have a bulk case of them. The grilled chicken strips are 6oz bags so I told him he could have a 1/2 a bag. As for shrimp I told him to have them weigh it out. As for veggies, cherry tomatoes, celery, cuccumbers. Most places will have the celery pre-cut so that's always nice. And if all else fails, a premade salad without the "toppings".

As for turkey, I did have some the first day, and some people use it, some don't. I found that the ground turkey I had on hand had a high fat percentage so I chose not to use it.

Have you guys tried radishes in the crockpot? We had them the other night with a lean roast. They weren't bad and seasoned just right I'm sure they would be great. My husband loved them and so I made him a whole batch to eat with his meals this week.

I used extra lean Jenny-o ground turkey. Caused me no problems.

I'm starving today. I hate day 3! I had my dinner melba as a snack and hopefully can space things out well the rest of the day.

Thanks for suggestions, he wants to try and stay on track. I think what you suggested is good enough.

I wish I would of weighed in before loading but I had been eating bad for sometime. I can't believe that from September to Monday I had gained 32 pounds!

But, oh well so far I'm down 7.5 and that's good enough for me.

Yuck. After showering after my workout, I happened to catch a glance in the mirror. All of a sudden there's obvious cellulite all over my thighs. Before they were just huge. Now they're huge and lumpy. You know what? I'll keep my bingo wings if it means getting rid of THAT mess.

I'll be doing this tonight! This would then count as our protein, veggie and fruit, right? I do lots of soups for lunch. I find them filling and it gives me a chance to get my water intake up.

Speaking of which, I've drank 35 ounces of water and nearly that in coffee today. I know that technically the coffee is supposed to cancel out the water, but it was water at one time so I'm counting it, lol! I'm hoping that all this added water/fluids is going to flush away some pounds tomorrow as if not I'm firing my scale!

Mousie,

Maybe it's the jiggly puffy fat that means a big whoosh is coming???

Not sure why but I want to eat today. Not hungry. It's been a highly stressful and emotional day. I really think my food intake is governed by emotions sadly.

I won't cheat. Funny thing is I ate my lunch at 10 am lol... Will try to eat dinner closer to five. Guess I should do fish since I ate lean beef for brunch lol.

Maybe the no loss today is annoying me??

How much water have you been drinking? This may be the cause of your stall. I drink about 7 bottles/day or 119 ounces!!!! Plus my coffee I think the average on a diet plan is 8 - 8 ounce glasses or 64 ounces. I'd bet dollars to donuts if you can up your water intake to around 100 ounces/day you'll see some nice releases!!!

I have class today, and it's my Capstone class. That means intense, with lots of work...and I'm not prepared!!!! :

I am down .4, but I only slept for 3 hours...trying to get this homework done...that I had a whole week to do, but waited until the last minute to do because of out-of-control home issues.
[/QUOTE]

I resemble this Lost and Found! I had all week to do my back to school running around and what did I do? Waited till today. The night I sleep more than 5 hours is a good night I did my capstone class last semester but I still remember andi feel your pain. Hang in there!
