Tomorrow starts my P2VLCD1. I've got my chicken breasts, shrimp, and tilapia fillets portioned out in baggies. Got frozen green beans and broccoli waiting to be steamed, and salad and tomatoes waiting in the fridge. Stocked up on strawberries, apples, oranges, and lemon juice. I've got the tools, now let's just hope I have the willpower.

I actually find that the boring factor helps... not any temptation to break protocol or eat too much.

Hi all! I'm entering week two of P1. The first week was tough! I craved like mad but it is subsiding.

Anyone else break out like a teenager when starting HCG?

OMG, yes to the breakout! I am still fighting it... but it is finally healing up. My face looks WORSE than it ever did when I was a teen. I think it was more due to the detox effect of cutting out dairy, alcohol, sweeteners, etc. than it is to the hhcg itself.... I break out badly every time I detox. Losing fat quickly also releases a ton of toxins/hormones/etc. into the body, and those need to be expelled as well...

I have been fighting hormonal acne for a couple of years... perimenopause... grrr....

Back to life, back to reality! A new week and ready to hop back on protocol. At least mostly

My weekend deviations set me back 1.2 lbs. but it was worth it for that meal! Today no scale movement one way or another. I'm going to the gym today to get a really good circuit training workout in and use up some of this fuel. Tomorrow I'm thinking of taking a Zumba class. I have some special shoes on order so if they come in today and fit I might be Zumba-ing soon! I desperately want to find some more fun ways of exercising. The treadmill and weight room are starting to really bore me.

I'm calling this P2.5 since I am staying on the drops but trying to stabilize/lose slowly. My goal is to lose 2 pounds a week like this. I lost 3 pounds a week on strict protocol so I think it's doable. My lowest weight at the end of P2 was 160.2 so I'm going to say my goal for the end of this week is 158.

Welcome to all the new faces on this thread! Here's hoping the hungries don't get ya too bad and you'll have a smooth sail on down the scale numbers!

P2.5D1: 161.4
P2.5D2: 161.4

Oops...dark o'clock here in Los Angeles and I think I posted on the old thread! Down 1.4 this morning to make up for the 0.3 gain yesterday plus 1.1. That gives me 5.5 pounds in my first 7 days which is a respectable average. Counting load weight I am at 9.2 pounds and going down... Have a great week everyone!

Shelby -- your losses are fantastic!!!! You GO! And yes, I am still in the midst of the awful breakout too... I know that yeast rash all to well.... uugh. Detox is good, though... so we will get through it.

Still stalled here... maybe. Back up that same pound, but it may just be TOM, which I think is right around the bend... so if that's the case, I can't really blame the apple day for a rebound....

If you are following Simeon's protocol the beans and broccoli are not on the list of approved veggies.

This is the list from Simeon's protocol:

One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens,
green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.

Thanks for letting me know! The info that came with my drops has both of those veggies listed, ugh. I suppose I will go ahead and have them, so I will be doing only a slight variation.

Oh man. My rounds would have been SO much more enjoyable if green beans and broccoli were allowed on protocol. Yum!

Well, my peeps, I was shooting for a 28 day round, but I'm only making it to 25 or 26. I'm stopping my drops on Wednesday. As of today, I'm down 17 pounds. I wanted to make it to 20, but it's just not going to happen in the next few days with these .2 losses. My state of mind needs a break!

So I'm hopping off the P2 wagon, gonna stick to P3 for about a week then I have a 6 day planned interruption. From there, I'll hop back onto P2 for about 10 days to hopefully get rid of whatever I gain during the interruption. Yikes.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I got some info with my Fusion drops and they indicated alot more veggies then the Simeon's protocol. Try them if you find you are having problems with them go with the Simeon's original veggie list.

By the way and have fun.

Jenifer-- I so hear you on the stall business!!!! I am going the other way with it, though... the harder my body tries to hang on to this weight, the more determined I am NOT to give in! You are probably the smarter of the two of us, really -- but I am so stubborn!

Hope your break is a well enjoyed one, and that it brings good losses down the road!

Thanks, Mini! I can't really call my 'issue' a stall. The scale is moving, but it's just sooooo slooooow. LOL I was going to stop on Friday anyway so I figure that stopping 2 days early isn't really going to affect me all that much.

Kudos to you for hanging in there! I think yelling at that pound will help. Scare tactics!

Mini - I would yell at your pound but honestly, I think you are at a very good weight and don't understand why you want to go lower. Are you a size 0 now? Not trying to tell you what to do but just concerned that you might be too skinny. What weight are you trying to get to? We are not teenagers anymore and I personally don't think the height/weight charts are accurate.
Maybe your body is telling you that you need to stop. Just disregard this if you want to smack me right now.

Not to be a know it all because I am not. Simeons actually says not to have the same meat, veggie or fruit twice in 1 day. Not sure if it matters but that is what he said, just an FYI

WOW I never would have thought it was detox in my lower area. I really thought I caught something from the bathroom at the University. I stopped using that bathroom and it cleared up but comes back every once in awhile. I can't believe I didn't connect the two. YEAST THE BEAST!

Jennifer, CONGRATS on the 17 lbs. That is a real accomplishment.
I am thinking of stopping around Feb 1st. Do you think I only need to take a week off before I jump back to P2 or do I need to take 2 weeks off?
I really wanted my weight off or at least close by my bday on Feb 28th.
I still have 12 lbs to go and it is a slow going but it is going.
40 days would be Feb. 11. Not sure what to do. Advice from all is appreciated.

Sorry to clip some of your quotes but didn't want this to be sooo long even though it is... oops!

Time for dinner... I this thread.

I forgot to mention that I got my Mediral drops on Saturday. WOW! What a difference! I just feel so much better on them then the Greenweb. I don't know if it is the confidence I feel because I knew they worked for me before or what.

I gave DH the rest of my Greenweb because he thinks I am nuts to trust one drop over the other but I seriously do.

On another note: I think I mentioned my DH's weight before and his 2 year struggle to lose. He finally got down to 230 from a high of 280 2 years ago with low carb. He couldn't go any further. Now he has been on HCG since November (went off for 3 weeks in December) and just saw 204 on the scale.
His goal is to see 199.9 on the scale and decide where to go (if anywhere) from there. He was wearing size 42 jeans and is now in 34's. I am so happy for him. He has been overweight most of our married life(18 years) and this is such an awakening for him. He is probably in the best shape of his life right now. Sadly, he won't let me tell anyone about it! I want to yell it from the rooftops but he says if someone asks him, he will tell them that he lost weight. No one will believe he lost 80 lbs. I just think it is incredible and I had to share with someone. Thanks for listening!

Donna --- No, I don't want to smack you -- I appreciate your concern. I want to get back into a 0 ( I was there a couple of years ago)-- and really, for my frame, that isn't too skinny at all. I have short, stumpy legs unless I am really lean... and that is what I want to be free of.... it isn't about weight so much as proportioning, and in order to feel comfortable in my skin, I like to be about 105 - 110. 110 is fine if I am in shape, and a good deal of it is muscle.

Just for reference, a size 4 ring is too big on my ring finger.. that is how small framed I am!

I am resuming workouts tonight -- starting really slowly, and will build up... I do resistance training, and I do find it helps a lot with toning.

Wow, the workout felt great! I'll be feeling it tomorrow, for sure, but it feels wonderful to be using my body again in that way. Slow and steady will definitely be key, here... I can start hitting it a bit harder in p3.

I had some wistfulness/sadness tonight. I am surprised at how much effort it is taking to process it. I am usually very analytical about such things, but tonight I almost relish basking in the sad feeling. Very odd. I'm okay overall, and there's no need to worry, but I think there is the possibility of some sort of mood variable from hcg for me. Very interesting. The only time I ever suspected depression in myself was 15 years ago. My relationship therapist stepped out of his purview to advise on the possible depression, and my DO/general practitioner agreed that it was a physical/nutritional issue.
