Newbie on Day 2 of P2!
I am so excited!!!!!Start day 2 of P2 today! Got on the scales this morning and unless I have sleepies in my eyes(LOL) I have lost 5 lbs!!
I don't know if the weight will keep coming off like this or not but, right now I am very happy and encouraged to keep going. Was some what hungry yesterday at work but, I got over it. I do not feel tired or grumpy which is nice! A little hungry this morning but yet again with the help of my little drops I will be fine here in a few! Wish me luck, as I have been dieting for years and this is the first time that I have not felt deprived of food!145/120 P2 day1 145 P2 day 2 140 Last edited by 911grandma; 01-18-2011 at 01:03 AM.. That's wonderful! Congrats on such a great first day! No, the losses won't always be that grand, but this protocol does work, and it works well. Come on over to the newbies thread... we are three weeks ahead of you, but we are still newbies, and would love to have you aboard!

On on day 2 of P2 also, but didn't see that grand of a loss! Kinda surprised since I gained so much at loading. Either way I'm sticking with it was I more worried about getting rid of some inches around my mid section. Oh, I had a loss of 2 pounds. Goodluck!

Thanks Jabbok, I needed to hear that. I'm a little down on myself right now. I gained so much around the holidays and its just not coming off. Normally I gain quickly when I eat off plan but I also loose the gains pretty quickly too but that didn't happen. Oh and my sister had gastric bypass yesterday and I'm not sure if its the hcg or just my frustration but I'm a little ticked at her that she did that and a little jealous that I've been struggling for 7 1/2 years to get this weight off and here she's going to get hers off in a matter of months. Probably before me even.
Ok, pity party over. |

![]() hang in there the weight will come off. Also I think your weight plan is healthier then your sister's, with her surgery there is still the chance she will gain it back and she still has to watch what she eats. With HCG you will be able to eat normal that includes the starches and sugar. |

Thanks!
DH lost 6 1/2 pounds according to his VLCD2 weigh-in. I know this can/will work. I'm not knocking my sister's choice but I know that I'm much better off taking 7 1/2 years to get the weight off than if I would have been doing what she's doing. Right now I'm just tired of dealing with it. The good news is I've had no hunger or cravings and other than being a little cranky I feel great. I was expecting to be really hungry. DH says that he's not overly hungry either and he's got great energy. He's got horrible varicose veins and reports those aren't as achey today either. So far my only complaint has been weighing out the protein! |

. I usually weigh out a whole weeks worth of protein then freeze it so I can just grab it in the morning to thaw, I find this is quicker and makes it easier for me to decide what I want to eat. That is good that you don't have any hunger it makes the days easier to deal with and it is good that you have your husband doing the program with you. |

Way too much time on my hands!

weighing the protein...
I like buying exactly 2-pound packs of something... chicken breast, shrimp, fish, whatever. It works out to exactly 9 portions of 3.5 oz (100 grams). THen I just measure them out. I wrap them in plastic. I lay the bundles on a cookie sheet in the freezer till they are firm, then I put them into a labeled freezer bag. It's a bit of prep, but the advantage is you can glance at your stash of protein bags and see what you need for your next grocery run. Similarly, I keep my next couple meal's worth of veggies portioned out in tupperware containers in the frig so I can just grab them. It's easier for me to do 3-4 veg portions at once instead of grabbing the gram scale every time I want to eat.

Totally agree emel, I actually portioned out everything for the week- fruits, veggies and protein. I had to as I gotta do this for me and dh, then I have to feed the kids as well and I don't have time to totally made 2 different meals 2x daily. I'd rather spend time with my kids! I also wrote out our menu, posted it on the fridge as well as re-warming instructions for DH. I'll do this all over again on Thursday when I make out a grocery list and Sunday when I do my prep work for the week.
LOL, I jokingly said to DH that I should post my meal-prep service on craigslist for other hcg-ers and make a little money towards a new wardrobe! |
