It took me forever to "see" the losses. I'm down 38lbs since Sept., from a 14 to a 6/8!! and can finally see a change. I was wearing smaller sizes for months before I started to adjust to what others were seeing. Even now I see the weight I have left to lose, not the slimmer me. Sometimes I pause and enjoy where I am, but I tend to still see the old me. I'm working on it. Be patient with yourself. It's a lot to take in quickly .

Peki31: take pictures now!! Just do it. I completely understand not feeling it. I honestly have felt the exact same way until this weekend. I think something finally snapped in my head that I lost so much and am able to fit into old clothes and have gone down several pant sizes.
Peggy: You can TOTALLY have my clothes! PM me and we'll talk about it.
BetsyAnn: No I haven't been working out. I will start eventually though, especially now that I feel like I am not carrying so much weight.

You guys have motivated to post my before and during pictures... don't think I'll ever make it to the after part! I've been a work in progress for the past 7 1/2 years! Now remember not all of this was hHCG alone as I am working on my first round. A little about me... I started low carbing (carb addicts) in 8/03. Lost 105 while doing fertility treatments and having a few miscarriages. In 7/05 got pregnant naturally (go figure as we tried for years!) and gained 80 back. In 3/06 had my son, didn't go back to low carbing until 11/06. In 1/07 found out I was pregnant again (surprise, surprise). At this point I had gained all but 50 back. My daughter was born prematurely (7 wks early) in 7/07 and we also moved that month and I quit working. Started low carbing on and off in 7/08. At this point was back up to 253! I managed a month and 10 pounds before I quit. Started up again in 11/8 at 255. I've been slowing getting there ever since. When I'm good I loose well. When I cheat... I really cheat! I've got another 15 to loose and then I'm going for another vanity 7, which will put me at losing 1/2 of my body weight!

Kari: You look fabulous!! I agree that you have cute taste in clothes too! Do something for me...go find something that weighs 50 lbs and pick it up - you will be amazed at what 50 lbs feels like when you hold it up. Dh made me hold up a 40 lb bag of dog food when I was first losing weight and being depressed it was taking so long. But now I highly recommend it even if you are not bummed because when you hold that which already came off your body, it's amazing!

Piratewoman - hey neighbor! You look fabulous! What an amazing difference!

Mdolph - what an amazing transformation! You look awesome and years younger than your "former" self. And as someone who dealt with infertility, I feel you and what you went through. I'm SO happy you had a nice outcome!

Love this thread!! Keep em coming! Even if you are not at goal, this thread is so inspiring to ANYONE over 200 lbs. Believe me, I remember and I loved threads like these that gave me hope when it seemed like just getting to Onederland felt unreachable. You guys all rock!

mdolph your pictures are amazing!
cutjrow your expression in the two different pictures says everything about the way we feel about ourselves based on how much we weight. I never let anyone take my picture the last few years because I was ashamed of my weight. My kids hated that I would not get in any family pictures. Well now I will. I look forward to posting my before and after pictures sometime this spring when I hit goal.
