Oh, lostfox -- two more things.
Lemon juice and apple cider vinegar in water ( and cayenne pepper and garlic, too, if you can stand it) make a great detox drink. It's a bit similar to the master cleanse, but I think it is better overall. I crave that concoction when I am fasting. I actually use garlic juice (I have it as a supplement for my birds, but I use it too) or you can skin a clove of garlic and soak it in water, and use that. My skin always breaks out like crazy when I do a detox fast -- I have not yet found a way to keep that from happening, so I just prepare for it and keep it really clean, and live with the breakout. If you have a bathtub, bathing in epsom salt water aids in detoxing the skin, and a lot of people also swear by "dry brushing." I could go on and on about this, actually... but those are the basics.

Morning all! I've just been reading to catch up with you all...
Just popping in that I've lost 1lb on my down day, so very happy! Today is an up day for me. Am really enjoying the food freedom I have by having gone rogue, and even on down days I don't feel like I'm starving hungry! my menu today: B: 3 eggs, scrambled in a tsp of olive oil, with 1 oz of cheese and 1 oz of cream cheese L: tuna packed in water, with 1/2 small avocado and 1 oz of feta cheese, mixed with some chopped tomato and cucumber D: probably smoked chicken breast and some baby spinach leaves sauteed in some garlic and olive oil... I just love the freedom of my new method and the fact that I'm still losing weight too! Really happy to have found you all!

Good morning, early birds.
I'm up to 163.5 after a low-carb HIGH day yesterday, from a low of 162. Hoping to stay below 165 as I try this up and down thing. Have great day! |

No loss today, but I expected that. Yesterday's weight did not show even a blimp from those wings so I think I had the two day effect going on. I can live with that...I feel good and had zero hunger yesterday and managed a 550 calorie day, even managed to bake cookies for the kids and take them to Sonic for lunch (not that I should be doing that, but well...)
Hope everyone has a good Tuesday- hope Minimonkey wakes up to a huge WHOOSH! Congrats everyone on the releases!!!! |

Good Tuesday morning all! I had 3 UD in a row since I had a 3 day weekend so I plan on doing 3 DD in a row (500 cals). My menus are planned and I am looking forward to 3-500 cal days. I can do it
and maybe get back in this game for good!Mini-Glad you figured out your drops and hunger situation. I was wondering about my drops, too. I've had them for a while, but I keep hearing they last forever! A couple of times I have touched a tooth or my lips while dosing and I read that could contaminate them. Also, the ones I keep at work are in a purse, in a drawer, in a cupboard, about 3 feet from a computer. I wonder if that's too close to the computer as I read that could mess with them, too Any ideas from anyone on damaging/contaminating hhcg? Lostfox-I orderd some Bojenmi tea and look forward to making and drinking a big batch of iced tea throughout the day! I ordered 6 boxes @ 2.35 ea. so pretty cheap ![]() Sounds as if many of us are doing a JUDDD type of plan. Is that what you are doing Drunkensailor and Mimosa? Mermaid-how's the hunger going today? I second the suggestion on taking potassium. Kinda takes the edge off. You are doing great sticking with it!! Julie-your recipe sounds yummo! I think I will make my next batch of soup something similar to your recipe! So I was able to maintain through my 3 UD, but like Paulabob I tend to have the 2 day reaction weight gain, so we'll see. I didn't go hog wild, ate pretty clean except for 1 bag of popcorn yesterday (and wine, but I don't consider wine too bad). My menu for the next 3 DD are... B-black coffee , veg/chic. soup. I made a BIG batch of vegie soup, w/ 9 oz. chic breast, and 3 bags shiritaki noodles, and 1/3 c. flaxmeal (nice Omega 3 thickener). I divided it into 6 portions, so that will be my breakfast and lunch for the next 3 days.L-veg/chic soup, celery and cucumber slices D-3 oz. fresh crab, asparagus, salad That should be close to 500 cals. but I'm not counting just trying to do protocol DD. I counted the weeks to my birthday (big 50) and if I lose a little over 1 lb. a week I will be at goal! So doable if I can be patient My goal was to lose 50 by 50!Have a great day everyone!

Aww, Paula --- you are so sweet! No whoosh yet (in fact I am up today) but... hope springs eternal! I'm in it for the 40 days, so I am holding out for a good second-half-of-round loss.
I think if there's no scale movement by tomorrow, it's apples, baby, apples! |

J4C - I am trying the up day-down day thing. I don't have enough energy and focus to stick with multiple days of protocol eating right now. I wouldn't call it JUDDD though because I'm NOT counting calories. It's more like meat and eggs (zero carbs) for a down day and low carb (hopefully) for an up day. As I think about it now, I don't really expect to lose much doing this, but maintain through TOM and then do another few days of meat and eggs. I got to my lowest adult weight of 140 doing that a few years ago. The HCG just makes it easier.

Just throwing this thought out there:
I think on down days I'm losing weight, but on the up days I feel like I'm losing inches... Not sure if it's in my head, but I feel a lot thinner, not in weight, but in size... Bizarre... |

A super quick post before I leave for the day -- my jeans are telling a very different tale than the scale is --- they are looser, in a really evident way. Take that, scale!

Woohoo, down two pounds today. And my pants are looser too, so I think some is coming off the belly. It has been hard, but at least it's paying off.
I brewed up a half-gallon of Essiac tea last night, which is my favorite detox/weight loss aid. It covers the bases of helping kidneys, liver, soothes digestive system, and adds minerals such as potassium and magnesium. It is helps boost insulin sensitivity. When I weighed 293 pounds years ago, all I did was take essiac and walk a mile a day and I lost a pound a week. I didn't diet until I found out I was diabetic, and then I went low-carb for life. Anyway, I feel much much better today, but I also can feel the fat burning like crazy. I am very sensitive to that feeling, so I know it for sure when it is happening. Now it's more in the realm of discomfort rather than sheer misery. Mini--I think shrinking is more important than weighing a certain number, especially so close to goal. It is great that your body is sculpting right now! You're beautiful and getting even more beautiful. I'm don't have time to address everybody, but I'm glad you're all here sharing your wisdom and giving and getting support. It's a great thread!

Turkey-after indulging over the weekend a net loss of 1lb is fabulous!! I'd be thrilled with that result!! Mermaid-great loss!! How does that tea taste? Is it awful or not too bad? Sounds great! I'd love to "feel the burn" but don't today .J4Christ-great job maintaining on up days. Hope you lose well this week!! Dancer-good job keeping it off. Glad you're feeling a bit better. Paula-no gain? that's so great!! You'll lose for sure this week!! I'm back down today. 154.0, new low (was 154.2 on Fri). I got up to 157 yesterday and now hope to actually start losing real weight!! We'll see, but hope the inevitable stall waits another week. Dd(7) went to the nurse sick today. She's fine, low fever and sore throat, so she'll be home tomorrow too. It's ok, forces me to slow down a bit. Off for lunch. Feel like beef veg. soup.

Hi
I am new and just starting hHCG...i followed protocol including two binge days for a total of 6.5 days..I lost it last nite and binged..i was sooooooo hungry. i have lost 8lbs which include the 3lbs gain for loading days. i was up 1.5 today but i am back on plan. i have been intrigued by the rogue thread for a long time. was wondering if you can just answer this question for me how much have you lost on rogue only plan and what kind of rogue plan do you follow - certain calories, fat, carbs..just whatever you have been doing. I have been trying to understand each ones plans but it is hard when i am just jumping in i hope you don't mind me asking..i am just trying to figure out where to go from here. thank u so very much. |

Welcome firmforever
Now whether all of this will actually work in the long run I'll just have to see, but that's what I'm doing for now. Julie--the Essiac tea is very mild and earthy. My extremely picky 9-year-old daughter really likes it and it seems to help calm her hyperactivity. You only drink two or three ounces at a time, so it's easy to just chug-and-go. About the homeopathics--I have used homeopathics for about 30 years and have found them to be extremely helpful in many ways. But they are a little bit mysterious and tricky. None of my education as a biologist explains how they work. They truly can last for decades if treated correctly, and it's hard to tell if you have done something to decrease their potency like too much heat, saliva accidentally getting in, exposure to fumes, etc. The homeopathic hcg is hard to get my mind around because usually homeopathics act the OPPOSITE of what the actual substance does. For instance, mountain daisy (arnica montana) causes severe bruising and pain when taken in quantity, but the homeopathic will relieve those symptoms. Arsenic will kill you, but in homeopathic form it will relieve food poisoning (It worked for me once), belladonna will kill you, but homeopathic belladonna will cure a high fever like right now (also experienced this). So I don't understand why homeopathic hcg works in the same way as RX hcg. Actually I think it might work somewhat differently. It may simply stimulate the hypothalamus and other glands, which then secrete the proper substances that aid fat burning, with only miniscule amounts of hcg being present. Most here are not eating the bread and fruit as per Simeon. I'm just doing protein, low carb veggies, shirataki noodles, lemon, coffee, and tea. One reason why some avoid the fruit and bread is that carbs can trigger intense hunger. That happened to me the first time I tried hhcg and I had to quit after 12 days. This time I am very determined to make it through the 40 days and if the hunger gets intense I will simply eat more protein and/or a LITTLE fat. Some on this thread are alslo using JUDDD (I'm not familiar with this too much) as their eating protocol with the hhcg. They seem to be doing awesome. I think there are even some who are just doing low carb/low calorie in general, and even one who said she is taking the hhcg even in maintenance and it seems to help. That's what I've gleaned so far, but like I say, I'm a newbie. Last edited by mermaid; 01-18-2011 at 10:37 AM.. |

I'm back down to my pre-girls weekend weight so I'm happy. I had a god awful acv cocktail last night in hope it'd help. Blech! I hate those things. It seems if I HAVE to eat off plan that staying low carb was no problem. Awesome!
By the way, I've had a handful of mixed nuts almost every day of p2 this time & I'm ahead of my R1 losses so it doesn't seem to be effecting me. Affecting? Either way you know what I mean. |

Had a better day today and stayed on track. I did have a few thoughts of cheating for the first time since starting. I really need to not cheat. Had a 4-ounce grilled burger patty for dinner and it tasted SO GOOD after eating ground turkey and cottage cheese and a boiled egg today. 242 was my post-load weight. Pre-load was 238. I probably should change that stat. Last edited by mermaid; 01-18-2011 at 07:49 PM.. |

Baugherk -- I am sorry to hear you are stalled as well... it's frustrating at first, but when the inches start coming off it is all worth it!
Wow, we have a lot of Arizona folks on this thread! You ladies are all so sweet and supportive -- I don't know what I'd do without you. I don't know if it is the new, lower dose, or the new drops... but I felt great today... hunger was extremely minimal, and energy was quite good. I decided to put my old drops in my backpack, and not risk agitating the new ones... it is only one of three doses, so even if they are losing potency, I think I'd rather do it that way. The longer this stall continues, the more determined I am to outlast it! Plus, I am LOVING the inch loss... that is worth much more than a number on a scale. I like seeing a lower number on my JEANS! |
