Another way to make shrimp portion look nice is to slice them lengthwise right where the vein is... basically butterfly them open all the way. You can do it before cooking, but I always do it afterwards. That way I get 12 chopsticks full from 6 shrimpies. ![]() |

Thanks for all the shrimp advise. I have the shrimp soup planned for lunch on Saturday. I figured I'd save seafood for the weekend as I don't like it rewarmed. It's chicken and beef during the week (well, M-Thursday).
I had a hard time getting the water in today. I'm about 16 ounces short from where I like to be this time of day. Hope to guzzle some down on the way home tonight. Other than that no hunger, but a dull headache. Nothing I can't deal with. My lunch today seemed huge and I barely finished it- 3.5oz chicken, 2 stalks of celery and an apple warmed in the microwave with cinnamon and nutmeg and van. extract. Very, filling. Dinner will be a taco salad of sorts. Still not sure I can do this without my beans and western dressing and chips. Haha! |

I am a little behind on my water too, But I find that i am thirstier in the evenings and have to really work up to 64oz. If I try to go from zero to 64 in just a day or two I make myself sick.

I will admit to being a little bit hungry today, nothing unbearable but still noticeable. I know it's because my loading was poor. I've been drinking quite a bit of tea to fill up. I'll be having a club soda...also, I haven't had my apple yet today. I am trying to wait until 4:00 before I eat it. Then I should be fine until dinner at 6pm. When food is this restricted, I find timing is key.

Crap, got sidetracked trying to get kids in bed (I got a 3 and a 4 year old) and forgot to take my drops. By the time I remembered I was STARVING! Now I'm sitting here trying to forget about food. Ick, not a good feeling!
Ok, getting me some sparkling mineral water. I wanna feel special! LOL! |

VLCD3 and 2.2#s dropped (4.2 total). I'm 1# above my LDW from R1. I'm still hungry and crabby which happened during R1. Somewhere around day 4 everything mellows out... DH would disagree. Once I hit p3 last round he said, "you're much nicer when you eat!" I'm trying to be nicer this round. The foodie in me gets pissy with p2. I consider P2 the necessary evil. I am not at all physically hungry...except some mild rumbly at meal times and if I am busy at the time...I can got another 2 hours or more without even feeling the hunger. I love that. Its more the head hunger...and the boredom of the limited foods...and I limit them even more, so...... I am usually really happy when P3 comes around. ![]() VLCD11 today and I am down another lb! 20.4 lbs for this round....so far! |

Peggy, your weightloss is amazing me! I wish I could follow suit! I wanted to hit my goal during this round, but doubt that'll happen with my huge load days weight.
Down another 2.2 pounds for a total of 8 down. I'm on vlcd4 today. Can't complain too much I guess! I'm back at my pre-load weight. I've been looking at everyone's weightloss and it seems that you lose roughly 1/2 of what you're going to lose for a round that first week so I'm aiming high and hoping to lose 4 pounds more by Monday, lol! Viola, I'm more moody too! Everytime I get pregnant (5x but had 3 miscarriages) I get evil mean. We're talking scary mean. I'm not THAT bad but I am very snippy and it reminds me of how I get when I'm pregnant. Its actually helping some with my job as I'm normally too nice and have been told to be more stern! Oh and Peggy, how much more do you limit your food? I'm sticking to strick protocol and I'm lovin' the fruit. I feel guilty eating an orange or an apple or breadstick as I've never allowed myself to do that when I lowcarbed. I'm thinking if my weightloss stops the breadsticks will go, followed by the oranges, then apples. Grapefruit and strawberries aren't too carby. I'm finding it difficult to switch gears! |

When I mentioned my left thigh being bigger after R1, I meant that at the top of my inner left thigh, there is a big roll of fat, and hardly any roll on my upper inner right thigh. They look like legs from 2 different people.
I showed it to a couple of people, and they could see the difference from a cross the room. It's enough to make you..![]() ![]() !!!! ![]() Well, .8 gone today. After 4 VLCD, that equals 10.8 pounds. ![]() Everyone is doing so well!!! Congrats with all of the releases!!! ![]() Last edited by Lost and Found; 01-20-2011 at 05:01 AM.. |

Good Morning. Day 3 of a stall...but I am ovulating and I'm in my 3rd week of P3. I checked my calendar from R1, and had the exact same stall at the same time and lost pretty good right afterwards, so I'll sit tight and wait. I'm planning on transitioning into P3 at the end of next week, so I hope I can break the stall before then. My ovulation seems to affect me the same way TOM does.
I wasn't sure whether to do a planned interruption next week for when I travel the following week or to transition into P3, but I now have surgery scheduled for the 2nd week in Feb, so I think it's going to be the transition. Hopefully that will only put me one round away from GOAL!! Congrats on all the losses ladies!! OH...and I'm glad I'm not the only one with differing leg sizes. I have one calf that is bigger then the other. I tore a muscle in it a few years ago, and since then it's always had a different size/dimension to it then the other calf. Probably not something anyone else would notice unless I pointed it out, but I know.

2nd day of P3 and I really blew it last night! Oh well, lesson learned (why do I have to repeat my lessons though?
)Up 1 1/2, but TOM is still lurking, now almost 2 weeks late. On a lighter note, Bernice paid me a visit so that's good. Good Luck losing! |

Michlady--You're probably making the right choice to transition. You're doing great!!!!
Hang in there...you know how your body works, and it's good that you "kept track" of things from prior rounds so that you can look back, and see what happened. ![]() |
