Ohhh...here it is from Pounds and Inches: "Tea, Coffee, plain water, mineral water are the only drinks allowed, but they may be taken in any quantity and at all times. In fact patient should drink about 2 liters of these fluids a day." Atleast you like coffee. I like diet pepsi, and can't have that. So, I've been experimenting with different teas. The problem with that is that I don't like tea without alot of stevia...and I don't know what that would do? |

Whew, I'm not alone! I love my coffee but I need the cream and splenda in it so I've been missing it! Actually I use some stevia and I've been seperating my 1 tablespoon of milk into thirds. Not the same, but I'm dealing with it!
I'm trying to drink 4 bottles of water in addition to my coffee (about 24-30 ounces a day) and then I'm making sure that I'm having some sort of soup each day as a meal. Like many of you I'm wondering if I should just move my office to the bathroom, lol! |

Drinking water is a struggle for me too. I've read, in other places, that we are to drink half of our body weight in water too...on an every day basis...for health, not necessarily just for dieting. AND get this...if we drink a beverage that has caffeine in it, we're suppose to, also, drink that many more ounces of water...in addition to half of our body weight in ounces of water. Ugh. ![]() I make myself get my water in by getting a 32 ounce container of it, and guzzling it down. I do this many times a day, and know that is the only way that I can do it. ![]() |

I hate water and am the worst person to ask. I drink herbal tea and sparkling water instead. I just can't stand plain water.

Hey, ya'll.
I'm down 2#s this morning (love the big losses @ the beginning), but I'm HUNGRY. I've been sucking down flavored teas all day and trying to keep my hands busy. Last time it was VLCD4 when my appetite subsided, so I'm guessing it'll be similar this round... just need to push through. I also hate water and could drink coffee all day. I've noticed I can't have more than one cup of coffee on HCG or I get jittery, though I can have caffeinated teas without an issue. |

Did you load well with lots of fat? That is typically why you can have hunger the first few days. If it does not subside you may need to adjust your dosage. |

Thanks! I'm pretty motivated to stay on task. I just have to get through the next few days. Last round, I did well staying on protocol till about VLCD14 and started w/coco crack. Still, lost 20#s in 25 days. Hoping to do better this time.

I did not plan well for today being in the office. I am naturally hungry from 10AM-2PM and that's when I normally eat while I work at home. I just brought enough food for the lunch portion (apple, breadstick, chicken and cucumbers). I was HUNGRY by 5PM, like HUNGRY HUNGRY. I work till 6 and have an hour commute. I just finished eating. Let me tell ya, next Monday I will be bringing some of the dinner to the office and eating before I leave. Once I eat, I'm totally full and feel good. Cannot wait to get on the scale tomorrow!
Happy losing!

if you have a microwave, portion out a cup of chicken broth for chicken lunch days. I use reduced sodium college inn (5 cal per cup)
Or tea bags and a baggie of lemon wedges and a bottle of stevia. Or half of your evening fruit and your starch (I would not love this, but it might work for a daytime hungry. I'm a nighttime hungry.) Your hunger will reduce shortly. You just have a couple days of the hungries, but even when your appetite diminishes, it's good to be prepared. |

R2P2 VLCD1 has been pretty easy. A tiny bit of hunger, but I am not surprised since my loading did not go well. Sipping tea and keeping busy.
I find that having one meal of the day be some kind of soup really helps...usually I do the cabbage soup thing. I've only had one fruit today, there are some grapefruits in the fridge but they might be past their prime. Can't hurt to cut one in half and try it. |

VLCD #1-lost 4.2 pounds
VLCD #2-lost 4 pounds VLCD #3 (today)-lost 1.8 pounds 10 pounds...gone in 3 days!!!! ![]() Must have gotten rid of ALL of the water gain. I am, finally, down to about where I stabalized at. I never stabalized to the "exact" same number "every" day, but was always within 3-4 pounds above, or below my LDW...depending on what I ate. I know that the protocol says 2 pounds, but I was fine with my 3-4 pound window, as sometimes I can gain that much overnight in water. Now...onward, and downward. Yesterdays meals: WATER, and 2 cups of tea Lunch: Spinach, broiled chicken, apple, grissini Dinner: Tilapia, asparagus, strawberries, grissini Last edited by Lost and Found; 01-19-2011 at 03:24 AM.. |
