Let me tell you..I am dreaming of a cocktail this weekend lol!

My friend who did HCG and lost 28 pounds said she would sometime have fresh squeezed grapefruit juice with one splenda and vodka! Just sounds so yummy right now ecspecially with how gorgeous it will be this weekend in AZ!!

We will see...

Wow, Donna, that is COLD! It is 48 here right now, and actually that feels balmy compared to the last few weeks -- it's been in the 30s at night. That wouldn't be so bad except that we live in a loft with no heat!

Wow I guess I am the only one who lives where we get COLD, SNOWY winters. -12C today with a blizzard.

VLCD1 yesterday weighed in at 143.2 and today 141.8. I am losing. Yahoo. I would like to reach at least 130 on this round. Very happy that I found this site.

I had been doing the same thing since the instructions on my drops said 10-15 drops 3x a day. I cut them back to 7 3x a day and that has really seemed to help. I do get hungry but not quite as bad as I had been. HTHs!

I'm using 10 3X a day and pushing through hungry times.

The logical side of my brain doesn't understand why less drops makes you less hungry - I would have thought that more drops would do that.

Weird!

Me too! I'm of the philosophy that if a little is good, more is better. But I did seem to feel better when I decreased the drops a bit but that's just me

Way to go Emel

Morning all! Well I withstood having a cocktail...went to dinner with my family. While they all had wings and yummy looking fries. I had a cobb salad minus everything but the chicken and one boiled egg. I used red wine vinegar, it was pretty good.
Woke up with a 1.0 pound loss! Yahooo! That makes 13.4 in 2 weeks! 9 days to go!! Not sure I can make it past that....

Its another beautiful day here in AZ.. Have a great day all!

Good job, Jacque! That is called control!

As I predicted, no loss today since I dropped a pound yesterday. Tomorrow should see a loss of some kind.

I was a little hungry this morning (I don't eat breakfast) so I had a cup of ff chicken broth. It was yummy!

.2 down today. Total for 2 weeks: 7 lbs. Naturally I had hoped for more, but this is a good jumping off point at least. Hopefully the next 9 days will bring better results.

I am down .2 lbs today, and I hope that is the beginning of this stall breaking. Great job everyone!!!! Self control is so hard when you are surrounded by food.

We can do this!

Despite my scale stall, I am feeling pretty encouraged. I am losing inches, and it is starting to become really evident... and it is coming off my thighs and stomach! Now, if my bulky calves and my butt would just thin out, I'd be really excited! I actually have some loose skin on my stomach today -- definitely have lost quite a bit there!

Welcome to all the New Newbies!!!

I must report my own little miracle! 2 POUND LOSS!!!
I am in virgin weight territory now. I weighed myself 3 times thinking I saw it wrong. Thinking I have not lost more than .6 of a pound since I started! Now 2 pounds just like that! AMAZING!!!

That was after yesterday of eating:

B: 1 egg/2 oz cream cheese/1 tsp vanilla/1 Splenda~ mixed
L: Fuddruckers 1/2 lb cheeseburger no bun with mayo and lettuce with side caesar salad.
No dinner except celery

I have no idea what that would be in calories. But I will take it!

I am soooo excited!

Hopefully tomorrows weigh in won't burst might bubble!

Wow, Donna -- that's terrific! Maybe the low calories just don't agree with you, and this is what you needed to break your stall...? I really hope it keeps up for you!

Wow Donna, WTG!
Maybe you're destined to be successful doing rogue, or cycling, or whatever you call it.

Question for the group, please:
I am just not hungry today.
I ate tilapia for lunch, nothing else. Really don't want anything now (dinnertime).
Should I make myself eat the protein, and try to eat veg, then not worry if I don't eat fruit and starch?

Yes make sure you get your protein in this is important.

Thanks. Food is just not appealing right now. I feel fine, just not hungry. My stomach feels like it just ate an hour or so ago. Eating the fish at 1 pm was a chore, too.

Emel -- my first few days were like that -- I finally settled in just eating the protein, and some veggies if I can manage it. Once in a great while I have some fruit. From what I understand, the biggest potential problem with this plan is protein deficiency, so I figure that is the one thing to eat if you just don't want anything at all.

Yea Donna!!!! Virgin territory is wondeful

I have a confession. The last 4 days I have been putting some cream in my coffee - I just can't stand it black and milk doesn't cut it. It hasn't stalled me so I'm going to continue until it does.

That's my only cheat!

I sure do miss Diet Coke! I only had a couple a week, but they always were refreshing. Bummer!

Thanks, monkey. I ate my chicken.

Hey Gibby, have you thought about sparkling mineral water? I bought a bottle of Pellagrino for when I want something "crisp" to drink. Was thinking it would be good with a slice of lemon or with a strawberry in the glass.

Does anyone know if we can have limes? I like lime a lot better than lemon.

Hi all -- just checking in and rooting for everyone! I hope to see an end to this stall tomorrow -- either way, I'll be eating a bit more, because I am visiting my mom. I can stick pretty close to protocol, but this is one interruption I knew would happen from the beginning... who knows, maybe it'll shake things up a bit like it did for Donna!

Hey Gibby! I'm thinking if Donna can have Fuddruckers, we can have limes!

Seriously, Donna, that is awesome! This experiment of yours has been very interesting to me. I really think that the 500 cals is too low for some people, especially if we are active. I'm not 100% sold that the drops are working exactly as the shots did in Dr. S's original treatment plan, so I'm not sold that 1000 calories of abnormal fat is being pumped out of my body every day to supplement my 500 cal diet. It very well may be, but I just feel that if that was the case I would be losing more.

However, the drops do seem to help with appetite and maybe some other positive effects, so I don't think they are without merit. I've certainly enjoyed the detox effects of not eating so much. My skin is healthy looking and mentally I feel great, just don't seem to have too much energy. Next week I'm going to start gradually increasing calories while taking the drops and starting to re-incorporate exercise into my plan. Mainly just planning on adding in some egg whites and veggies for breakfast and my Omega oil supplement.

My overall goal for maintenance is to eat basically P2 style during the week with adding this breakfast, using more varieties of veggies, and healthy fats. Then on the weekends I would like to have one "free meal" per week for social reasons. If a week comes up where I have more than one social occasion, that's okay too, but I want to save indulgences for special occasions.
