For me, probably 5 days??? I am very anxious to see how the scale looks for me in the morning after my gain today. I'm going so strict today and without any of the melba/grissini and LOTS of water and will see what happens.

What about you??

Well yesterday I didn't lose anything, so I thought today I surely would but gained instead. I am totally losing faith in the protocol now. I may go rogue immediately! LOL

Often the foods we eat do not affect the scale until 2-3 days later.

I wouldn't. Why not look to Dr. S's protocol and see what he suggests? I believe he suggests an apple day to break a stall, but I would do that before going rogue. The protocol works...if you work it. I have had 3 day stalls and just kept at it and then I would have a 2 lbs loss. Your body needs to catch up. On a regular diet you would be happy losing 1-2 lbs a week....and women *average* .5 lbs lost per day. As with anything YMMV.........

Yes, this is good advice. I think it's mainly psychological for me. I have been down this road so many times on various plans and always lose great the first few days then hit a snag. In some cases I went on and on, like when I did Atkins Induction, and never lost another pound after a couple of weeks! Plus felt like crap the whole time. I start to feel betrayed, like "I did all you asked and this is how you repay me?" I know that sounds crazy, but I just don't want to get fooled again!

Sometimes I think my body is just supposed to be like this and it will not take no for an answer. Overall I am very happy with my body shape and figure. Just still a bit chunky through the legs for my taste. Maybe I am running out of abnormal fat?

I will keep going for now. I'll consider it an experiment.

No I will not be doing HCG I did that several years ago and it messed up my whole metabolism and the doctor I am going to thinks it may have contributed to my hypothyroid condition that I now have, because I did not have a thyroid until after I did the HCG diet.

To each his own. I am doing well on it and I am hypothyroid and stopped losing weight for a full year no matter what I did. To me, it has been so worth it.

I'm up today too -- .6 lbs.... grrrr! The last time this happened, I bounced around the same pound for a couple of days, and then saw a big loss, so I am not sweating it. I obviously am not gaining fat on 500 calories or less of protein.

I actually do think I am not eating enough, so I will try to fix that a bit. Also, I am feeling a bit PMS-ish, even though TOM just ended, so that may be it... ah, perimenopause, what fun!

I feel thinner today, though. My stomach is flatter than it has been in a long time, and even my legs are starting to look a lot better, so I am staying the course. I think I will try on some clothes today, or measure, or both.

This is one of the reasons I don't really like daily weighing... these weird little fluctuations can do a number on me, no pun intended.

Love the new profile pic!!
I agree, weighing in every day can really mess with me too! Yet, it's very motivation as well!

I'm going back to eating the fruit today but skipping the grissini. I'm sure it doesn't matter that much but at least I feel like I'm doing SOMETHING!

Day 3 of Rogueing it and it is working!!!

Down another .8 today!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started the Couch to 5k last night too. It felt so good to get off my lazy butt.

I am very competitive and it was so hard to see you all losing and me just not being able to compete. (Not that this is a competitive sport) I do this to myself all the time and make it that way!

SO GAME ON!

Seriously though I don't think I can beat some of you with double digit losses already but I am SO STINKING HAPPY FOR YOU!!! That is just so amazing and I'm sure it inspires all of us to keep chugging along!

Let's do this once and for all and be done with dieting!!!:kic king:

Me too, Jacque! Down exactly a pound from yesterday! Glad I didn't give up. Hopefully it will continue for another 10 days. That's all that is left in this round (I think). If it's a 23 day round, that includes the 2 loading days, right? They are saying 23 days of taking the drops? I get confused on that.

Go Lucky! Glad you stuck with it too! I am confused about that too. My bottle was supposedly for 30 days but the bottle getting pretty low. I only think it will last for the 23 days! Not sure I want to spend another $100.00. I just want to lose 20 pounds to get a jump start and lose 15 more over the next 3 months!

Same here, Jacque. My drops were not that expensive, though. I was thinking why do we need to stop taking the drops? I was thinking about getting some more and just keep taking them while I am in P3 and stabilizing. I don't see the point in weaning ourselves off them at the end of P2 with the 72 hours of VLCD with no drops. If people are taking the drops and eating fairly normally and still losing weight, why not just keep taking the drops as we start to eat more normally ourselves? That way we could eat a bit more but still gradually lose a bit as we stabilize. My understanding was that the time between rounds was because you would get immune to the shots, but that immunity is not an issue with the drops. Somebody correct me if I am off base here...

It wasn't only rogue, it was wrong!
I am embarrassed to admit it but I was at the Mall again! I was hungry and went to Wendys. Had a double stack sans bun and a small fry.
I did bring home a side ceasar salad and with my Walden Farm dressing I only had that for dinner. Breakfast was 2 scrambled eggs.

From the way I use to eat~ that is great. Compared to how you all eat, that is sad.

So glad to see everyone losing!

Whoohoo for everyone's losses! Donna, glad you are staying the course!

I seem to be stalled. Up another .2 lbs today, so bouncing around the same pesky pound for a few days.... grrr. I do think I can see a change in my body, though... it really looks and feels thinner, despite what the scale says. I have to run out this morning, but will do the "tape measure and clothing test" later in the day. I may need to do a stall breaker day, though.

Good job on losing you guys!!! May I join the group? I'm down another pound today, too!

I have a stupid question - when you say you are going "rogue", what does that mean?

Hi Gibby, going rogue means doing your own thing, not by protocol.

Is anyone else itchy around their belly button?
I don't know if it is where my button of my jeans sit or my stretch marks but I am super itchy on the left side of my belly button. It is not really dry either.

Not me. As a guess, perhaps you've lost some inches there and your clothes are resting on different spots (undies elastic, jeans button).

Thanks, I had alot of good support from this board when I first started and I think it is important to have people who are doing the same thing be there for each other.

Welcome to my world. While I haven't gained this week, I've played with the same number on the scale with teeny, tiny losses all week. It took me 4 days to lose a pound!

I'm on P2 for two more weeks (sigh) and I'm *really* hoping to get off 10 more pounds, but at this rate, I just don't know if that's possible!

Jenifer, I am right there with you. I'm doing a long round too, and hoping for ten lbs off. Paula says this is normal, and a big loss usually follows, so I am keeping the faith! Sorry we are having to struggle
