What is your take on...

Carmex? I have read it doesn't absorb into the skin...and you can use in on HCG. I NEED something. Need to stay within protocol lines. What is your opinion on Carmex? Thank you!!!!!!

Hi there ~ I heard that Carmex has menthol in it and therefore, it is not a good idea. And yes, Vaseline is a good alternative.

Here is the list of ingredients for Cherry Carmex:
* Octinoxate and Oxybenzone, two sunscreen agents

OTHER INGREDIENTS
* beeswax, cetyl ester, camphor, flavor, lanolin, menthol, paraffin, petrolatum, phenol, and theobroma cacao(cocoa) seed butter.

Hope that helps!

~Carol

I read so many conflicting things. It is SO confusing. I read Vaseline is a no-no? I read Carmex, yes, Carmex, no....Chapstick, yes, Chapstick, NO, Burts Bees, yes, Burts Bees, no. LOL...you get the picture. My first round...I just suffered. I did use lipstick towards the end, but stopped losing. Was it the lipstick? Or the end? I have gained some weight back during P3 (sigh, holidays) and really can't afford to make a mistake on lip product. Thanks for the input ladies!!!

You know, you could just try it and see what happens to you. What's a couple of days, yeah I know, a couple of days. I know what it feels like to have chapped lips, it's painful. We shouldn't have to suffer a lot, you know, if it really hurts.

Dawn, I believe uses Vaseline too on her dry parts! Fortunately for me, I'm not having that problem at the moment but I sure did a couple of weeks ago though. I used Cornhuskers Lotion for my dry skin.
