Put DOWN the chalupa! LOL... you guys remember those commercials?

Seriously, it isn't worth it. The momentary pleasure is NOT worth days of fallout and feeling foolish for giving in. Hang tough!

I once heard this quote which often gets me through bouts of hunger/cravings (not always...but it helps!)...

Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!

Paula - yes, for sure I'll share acupressure/reflexology tips, I have so much to study (just privately, not through any courses). I do know that the ears have some great points to take away cravings etc., and help with addictions. I am going to find those points today, and I got some ear beads with a bit of adhesive, that I'm going to tape in my ears! lol... according to some studies I read, after about a month, it really kicks in, and people using these kinds of techniques had a very nice loss in BMI as opposed to the control groups.

And of course I don't mind sharing the brand name of the shaper - I bet you can go to ebay and find that crazy $7 deal (that included shipping!). It did in fact turn out to be one of those tv ones. It's kind of like spanx in that it has those legs that go down to your knees, not my fave, for wearing slim jeans, but nice if your jeans or slacks are loose in the thighs or for dresses and things. It was called slim-n-lift body shaper, retails around $60! And then, to top it off, on my lil shaper spending spree, I was looking for something like a shaping cami, and found this thing called tube cami body shaper by magic curves, it was around $15 plus shipping, it's a cool concept as it's just a tube, so it would start below your bra and come down to your hips to tuck into your pants. I can't really vouch for either of these things being good, but they were good deals and I usually have a pretty good eye (not always, but usually).

Minimonkey - ya I love that toning shaper idea too. It was between $50-$60 so I won't worry about that right now.

I know some guys hate it when we wear shapers... I never wore one until after giving birth. I remember this one rude guy I went on a date with before being preggers who was in awe of my stomach and was trying to touch it to see if I was wearing a shaper. weirdo! I wonder how many guys are lurking here being appalled! lol...

Oh, the being cold thing - I suspect it has to do with lowered calories... the more we eat, the warmer we can get just by all the digestion activity.

er yeah, I'll have to remember that before I go into a mindless eating of a bag of popcorn trance! lol... I found too that when I get those cravings of just eating something though i'm not hungry, if I can wait it out about 20 minutes... I'm ok! It's kind of similar to quitting smoking in that way.

I have this homeopathic spray that's called craving control which is supposed to help with food or quitting smoking, etc., but it never really worked for me.

But maybe pressing on these points in the ears will help.

That and just getting mindful to wait it out before giving into the craving

PS Paula - I forgot to say - that must be so exciting to think that you can likely now do the pushups that you couldn't do before! That's wonderful! And not just the pushups, but all the other changes from dropping so many sizes.

WOE: one day at a time!! LC!
Start Date: July 14, 2003 - every day!!
Just a pop-in before bed.

Carina-great info!! Keep sharing!! I really could use a shaper myself, or 2 or 3 . I have so much extra skin!! I know I could lose 5-10lbs in a quick tummy tuck and boob lift! Dh has offered to figure out a way for me to get the surgery one day, as a reward/celebration for all the hard work, but I'm too sticker shocked to ever agree. I can't fathom spending $10K to look good nekkid or in a bikini. I'm much slimmer than I used to be and have no delusions of a flat stomach or bikini body. I do plan to add weight training back in and build some muscle. that's all good in my book, but the saggy stretched skin will have to just be my reminder to never go back!

On the cold-I was always cold before HCG (partly why I moved to AZ) and after losing this last 30lbs I'm even colder. Between the HCG, weight loss, and low calories I think it's very understandable. Especially since I tend to be slightly anemic and don't eat as much beef when VLC. I'll warm up again soon, probably when it gets really hot here in AZ!

Phx-how do you control PB? I used to eat it more on Atkins, but I think I overdid it and eventually developed a reaction to it. Kills my stomach now!! I can have PB in things, like protein bars etc., but straight PB or peanuts make my tummy hurt really bad!!

I am heading to bed early. I'm a bit hungry and would rather eat, but made myself a cup of sugar cookie tea and am going to watch a bit of TV. Then final dose of the day (got a late start) and off to bed. Hope for a nice loss tomorrow. Hunger usually means I'll drop a bit . Nitey-nite.

Day # 17 Low Calorie Diet

It was worth being extremely cold yesterday, body released 2.6 lbs. finally coming off TOM. Sunday & yesterday I was 230.2 after fluctuating around the whole week because of TOM. Down 12.4 lbs in just a little over 2 weeks. I am happy with that.

Happy Releasing!

That is great!! I'm sure you did a bit of a dance this morning! WTG!!

I am down another .5 today which I am fine with. I am still not feeling well and didn't get much sleep last night and ended up with 2 kids in the bed. Hopefully the meds will kick in and I will start to feel better. Just gonna take it easy today.

Have a great Tuesday!

I did manage 3 girl pushups yesterday. It was hard for me, but I did it. I will have to work up from there!

I had a couple UTI issues on occasion - more irritation than anything else. I take 1 tablespoon of 100% pure cranberry juice, and add it to my waters. It's only 5 calories, and really does the trick for me. Hope you feel better soon! Plus I need to trampoline again...it's been months, and now the don't laugh or sneeze thing or I'll pee thing is happening.

Down .2 today to 149.2. Better than nothing right? Ready for TOM to go.

Kids have a delayed start to school this morning due to Sunday's snow...icy roads. Hope it's nice and clear when I go out...don't think I've driven since Friday. Have some cookie mom duties to do today. Some of the moms missed the training meeting, so paperwork.

Okay, I've been away because I was diving into the Gabriel Method, when I realized I am meditating on a man's voice instead of listening to God who I know "through all things are possible". God will never leave me, and He is with me even despite me!!

So, that being said, I think Jon Gabriel has great insight into health and emotional wellness and seems like a very sincere man, so I'm not knocking him or his method at all, just not for me (at least not the visualization/meditation part).

Thanks for listening

Now, of course, I am back, and just planning on doing my best day in and day out, no real plan layed out before me (yet), but taking the hhcg.

Deb, JUDDD always calls out to me (especially when I get to start on an UP day) so I am anxious to see how it works for you! What sort of schedule are you on?

Best to all of you, I admire those troopers sticking to their plans and losing And to the sick and those having a difficult time sticking to their plan (me).

This is so very true! I have to tell myself this now when I am sick and feel like no one is with me. So thank you b/c I needed to read this this morning.

Sometimes a plan is having no plan. I have changed my "plan" a lot and I still don't follow a real plan. I listen to my body and things may be going slower than the typical hhcg plan, but I am a-okay with that. You will do great with whatever plan you go with!

My head is back in the game ladies!

I weighed in this AM after 2 days of feeling like crud and eating comfort food. I was expecting a large gain, but instead was 1.4 lbs. less! That was exactly the encouragement I needed today. Back on track!

Let me know how the JUDDD goes! Do you do low carb on up days? And every other day? I am not going to try it but I am super curious if it works!

I don't do cold well either and also tend towards being anemic (OB had to put me on extra iron in addition to the iron already included in the Rx pre-natal vitamins). I try to eat beef at least twice a week. I did a lot of chcken last week and will be getting some beef in today.

Of course, it is damn cold here today. Doesn't happen often in Central Texas, fortunately. You are so right that the VLC doesn't help. When I was doing protocol by the book I was freezing in October (and around here that is not a cold month). Now that I have more fat in my diet, it is much better.

Still don't think of myself as "little," but I have to keep reminding myself that I am noticeably smaller.

You are getting so close yourself! You will be there before you know it.

Any loss is a victory!!

It is bloody cold here in Austin today, but fortunately no ice and the skies are expected to remain clear. The ice on roads brings everything to a standstill when it happens.

H&H, it's great when the damage is less than expected and does make getting back on track a lot easier. That gain will be gone before you know it!!

I just had hard boiled eggs (3) for lunch yesterday and some chicken thighs (w/skin) for dinner. Down another .6 today to 146.8 and am now back in my window!! Yeaaah!!

I am going to continue my "mostly meat/egg" (ultra-low carb, higher fat, controlled cals, no HCG) plan for the week to get myself fully to LDW and maybe a little below to the lower end of my window. Then I am focusing on stabilizing there for awhile. I also need to work on my muscle tone and density, so if I can build muscle and remain in my window, that will be great. Then maybe another round if I decide to move the scale a bit lower.

Girls...congrats on all the GREAT releases!

I'm so excited to report a -3.8 release today! Strange but somehow I knew that 2 lb increase was just temporary...I sensed a good release was coming today. Amazing how this plan puts you so in tune with your body.

That puts me down an even 12.0 lbs in a completed 8 days! Can't complain at all about that. I also measured and have some good inch losses too. I will save those results for the final weigh in of the round...but wanted to share my excitement!

I will let you know... this is week 1 of this round of experiments.... So far so good... I do low carb on up days because that is what my body really wants. It is every other day. However! I don't limit myself to only low carb, if there is something that I REALLY WANT. Then I will have it, be happy and move on.. The thing for me about low carb was feeling deprived of things that would put me off plan.. so for NOW this works.

It is basically what I have been doing since August, but instead of low, mid and high, I am just going VLCal, and whatever I want on alt days. WE SHALL SEE.

WOW you are rocking this thing!!... congrats!!!!

Hello everyone and congrats to everyone sticking to plan. I, like a few others here, had a very high calorie/carb weekend. I really went crazy, I ate everything!!!!! We had a fab house party on Saturday and I made a lot of great food and awesome desserts and I could not resist Lo and behold, I am up 3 lbs!!!! Argggggg!!!! Trying so hard to be good this week. I was so darn close to the 150's and now I'm back up in the mid 60's, not fair!!!!

At least I am back in the office now and not on vacation, a lot less temptation and food here. I am back on plan, I am on a mission!

Have a wonderful 1-11-11!!!
