We have lots of Arizonians here! Wow!
Home from work and this is my hardest time for me when I begin to figure out what to cook for my family. I'm really not that hungry though right now, just a bit edgy! I love black licorce..may look into that fennel..I'm super picky about vegetables. My friend who did HCG said she ate red bell peppers and lost fine. Those are my favorite, so I may see how I do with them... Lucky - those teas sound Yummy! I may have to hit the store tonight for some! I am doing 30 days of P2 and would love to see myself at 170 when all is said and done and then take a month or so off and stabilize and then try and get to 145! MY DREAM is to be 140 by July for my 40th!

For me, I think 115 will convince me that its working. I am still a bit in disbelief over all of this -- but I also feel fairly carefree about the whole thing. I like having a pretty detailed protcol to follow, and it is nice not to have to make a lot of decisions about what to do.
I'm headachey today and a little bit hungry, as well... I should probably eat something soon. Maybe that's a good sign, though... detoxing, maybe? I honestly just don't want to eat, which is really weird. I am not used to that at all....even though I am physically hungry, the desire to do anything about it is absent. Strange.

I tried the fennel. I steamed it with just a little salt, pepper and basil. It was surprisingly good. It did have a little whiff of licorice but it wasn't so much that it made me not like it. It went well with my extra lean steak bits. I felt like such a foodie! I really wasn't all that hungry, though. I'm going to keep eating everything even if I am not starving because I don't want to regret it later!

Ahh, had my eggs and I'm still hungry.
I still have my orange to eat, but I want a big steak or something! LOLThe eggs were totally yummy, but maybe they just didn't seem as filling as a piece of chicken. Grrrr. I strayed from my normal path twice today -- eggs and 3-4T (yes, tablespoons!) of ff milk and splenda in my coffee. Fingers crossed that the scale is kind to me tomorrow. Now where is my water bottle ...? |

![]() Braeburns are the BEST! This is one thing I am looking forward to--eating fruit!![]() Btw, Braeburns usually come from Australia so they are coming into season now. For those on the west coast, the ones at Trader Joes are usually particularly good. Last edited by shelbyla; 01-07-2011 at 05:24 AM.. Reason: just remembered something... ;-) |

Just a thought concerning the size of fruit. Back in the 70s and 80s when the Simeon protocol was written, our food wasn't altered genetically. At least I don't think it was. Therefore, fruit wasn't gigantic like it is today. I bet that the huge apples now would equal at least two or maybe three compared to back then.

HCG-First time/First four days
How to choose which HCG? Help please. Drops or Pellets? Homeopathic or ...? No shots, traveling with so that is not an option. I have a small amount of HCG Homeopathic, enough for this week.
Lost 2 lbs, first day. Nothing since using strict protecol. Concerned would like a good source to order, any suggestions? |

Good job, Hollytree!
Regarding apples - I love apples they are one of my favorite fruits. For hcg protocol, I choose the small gala and figure one is good. I wanted to thank everyone for helping me through a rough day yesterday regarding being hungry. I wound up havin about 2 cups of lettuce with lemon juice. It helped "move things along" too, if you know what I mean. ![]() My reward for pushing through was almost a pound loss (2 ounces shy!) I must get to work - it's time to hit the road. I'll be back! |

Morning!
Here's my progress: P2 Day 1 (load) 191.4 P2 Day 2 (load) 188.6 P2 Day 3 (VLCday1) 187.4 P2 Day 4 (VLCday2) 186.2 P2 Day 5 (VLCday3) 184.6 P2 Day 6 (VLCday4) 184.0 so that's a -0.6 loss..which is the least of my losses. But I won't let it get me down. Working from home today..that should be a challenge. Also I'm going to the dreaded movies where I am weak for buttered popcorn. I will bring my cut up apple in a baggie! Btw..I only had half of the apple and cut the other half for my daughter.. Have a great Friday all |

Hey ladies! Down another .6 lbs today! It seems like me and Jacque are on the same path. Let's keep it going!
Here are my revised stats: P2D1 (loading): 169.4 P2D2 (loading): 170.0 P2D3 (VLCD 1): 170.8 P2D4 (VLCD 2): 168.6 P2D5 (VLCD 3): 167.4 P2D6 (VLCD 4): 165.8 *hunger reduced and very energetic! P2D7 (VLCD 5): 165.2 I put a note on there about which day I started feeling better so I can remember for next time if I end up doing this again. Holly: Awesome on the 2 pound loss. Is this your first day after loading? RE: Apples - I've been getting organic ones from Whole Foods and they are huge and delicious. Luckily I love apples and most other fruits. To all those out there struggling with hunger: I do so feel for you. I had that earlier this week and thought I wasn't going to be able to stay on protocol. Something turned a corner for me yesterday though. I also started eating half my VEGGIE portion for breakfast and that seems to help alot. It just wasn't cool with my tummy being totally empty for that long. I don't think it's a good idea to eat the fruit or grissini at that time, though because they are too sweet and will just make you hungrier. The veggie seems to keep me going until lunchtime. Maybe this will help someone |

I do very well with water. I'm a big water drinker anyway so that's not a big deal to me. I only like bottled water though. I buy the cases of 1.5 liter spring water at Whole Foods (I'm a big Whole Foods fan if you haven't guessed yet!) and drink about 1.5-2 of these per day. I have found that to be the best value for the best tasting water I can buy in bulk. Plus I am now drinking a TON of herb tea so that has to count for another .5 liter at least. Yes, I do have to make frequent trips to the bathroom! It was really embarrassing when I worked in an office because my office was the farthest from the door to go out in the hall to get to the bathroom. I'm sure they thought I was slacking off constantly!

I made some yummy turkey chili last night & a chocolate treat I thought I'd share. 3 ice cubes, enough water to help it blend, 1tbsp unsweetened cocoa, 1 packet of sweetener & 1tbsp of cottage cheese. It wasn't much, but sort of chocolate shake like. Helped with the chocolate craving.
