My hunger is a little better here on Day 4..I'm not daydreaming about food 24/7... we shall see how it goes tomorrow!

I'm having my "baggie" omelette again for lunch since it's fresh when I microwave it. I was too getting sick of the microwaved chicken breast here at work..ugh!

Ohh what's the baggie omlette? I've made an omlette in aziploc in boiling water while camping, is that the same sort of thing? Not feeling well today, I loaded much better this round but that same killer hunger I had last round is here.

The kind of hunger where I feel like I have the flu & need to throw up but I'm just super hungry. It's days like this I just want to go get one of those delicious donuts in the break room & settle for being a satisfied cow. Lol

You beat 1 whole egg with 2 egg whites with salt (I add tobasco for more flavor), put in ziploc and put in microwave for 30-45 secs, then flip the baggie over and do same. It's quick good. I added a bit of water today to get it a bit more fluffy and added some seasonings too!

Can't we have 1 whole egg + 3 whites in protocol? Or are you just leaving out the exta white on purpose? Or am I wrong? LOL

3 whites

Or go total rebel, skip the whites and eat 2 eggs. Sometimes I take hard boiled eggs to functions. Like yesterdays pizza/cake lunch at church. I brought 2 eggs and strawberries.

Lucky -- SO glad you are feeling better. I know what you mean about belief and the drops... it takes a leap of faith, but then you start seeing results, and it is impossible not to believe!

I am feeling sluggish so far today -- that's a first since starting this protocol. I am also up .2 lbs, bringing me back to yesterday's weight. Hmmmm... I am certainly not stressing a 2 day pause in losing, but if it keeps up I will see what I can tweak. I am pretty sure I am not eating enough... I think I have yet to get all my daily food is since starting, and maybe that's stalling me....?

I think I will measure today -- I can feel a difference in my body, and I bet that will show some results.

Pretty sure I am retaining water, too... TOM, go away, already! I am right at the end of that, and I haven't had that peeing-all-day thing that usually happens right at the end, yet....

I haven't seen any in our area. Maybe Whole Foods or another health food store might have them.

I buy frozen strawberries. Not as sweet, but still pretty good in a pinch.

Is it sad that I'm super excited to have eggs tonight for dinner? I think I'll add in some spinach for my veggie.

How much spinach can we have? 2 cups of fresh?

Sam's had strawberries and they are 'ok", nothing stellar. So not in season and I miss them so! I need to do like Molly and buy frozen.

Jenifer,
a couple of cups is fine..more if ya want. Dr S doesn't really say how much.

My first 36 days of p2, I ate eggs a lot. They were fresh, hot and so easy to make. I lost fine on eggs. I love it for budget minded folks like me also. Plus I cannot lose on a steady diet of chicken. Eggs and fish are "my' combo protein choices for the most stellar weight loss.

Just got back from my Whole Foods run. I got some fennel. Never tried it or heard anyone say anything about it? Anyone experienced with fennel?

Also got 3 more new herbal teas to try all Celestial Seasonings:
Black Cherry Berry
Apple Cranberry Zinger
Country Peach Passion

Trying the Apple Cranberry now and it's really yummy! I'm feeling so AWESOME today. I now feel that it is working as everyone says it is. I have not even been hungry enough to have my fruit from lunch yet and I feel fine. Here's hoping all the other newbies reach this stage quickly! If it can happen for me it can happen for anyone. I am a total wuss about hunger, believe me.

Fennel tastes a lot like black licorice... I love the taste. It is used as a digestive aid, and also has some diuretic properties so it is often used in detox. Fennel is very high in phytoestrogens, so it shows up in estrogen supplement products often.

Does that help?

So happy you have hit a stride, Lucky! I am feeling a bit better as the day goes on... going to get up off the couch and get some housework done, which will probably help!

Hi All!

So many with tremendous losses! My 1 lb loss is a HUGE deal to me but I can just imagine what some of you are thinking when you see a 2lb or 4 lb loss. That must be mind blowing!

I'm still at a pound a day loss and that is truly awesome for me! YEAH ME!

I went a little off protocol today and hoping it won't be a big deal. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad from Wendys today. Only ate the chicken breast and lettuce from the salad but I'm sure they add stuff to their chicken breast. I was starving and still needed to grocery shop so thought that was the best answer to my dilemma.

Keep on doing whatever you are all doing because it is working.

My question today is: What is the number on your scale that will really drive it home to you that this is working?

My number is 140! Haven't seen that number in years!

Yes but I hate licorice! Thanks for the warning. I may go ahead and make some tonight but have a backup plan in case I don't like it. I guess I'll steam it. That's what I do with most veggies. Do you think that would work?

I bought some at Albertsons the other day. Very pricey compared to in season. And were not that good. Or...as good as they are in season. But I get tired of just apples and oranges.

I think it's already driven home to me that it's working. It's been so long since I've seen any substantial scale movement that I am already sold! Plus feeling so carefree about it is amazing! I hope I continue to feel this good.

That being said, I am with you on the 140 number. That would be totally virgin territory for me. I don't think I have been that light since high school. I don't even know if I would want to go that low. I now look at pics of myself when I was 142 and my face seems really gaunt. However if this does what it says (and so far, it has done exactly what it said it would do), maybe it will find more fat to take out of my thighs instead of my face. In that case I would be happy to get that low again.
