Newbies....REPORT!!!
I was posting my results on another thread but I feel more attuned to this one. It's good to be among fellow newbs P2D1 (loading): 169.4 P2D2 (loading): 170.0 P2D3 (VLCD 1): 170.8 P2D4 (VLCD 2): 168.6 P2D5 (VLCD 3): 167.4 Down another 1.2 lbs. WOW! Pretty hungry this morning. I was noticing last night, however, that my hunger was not as bad as usual. I'm usually extremely hungry at night even when I am not on a diet so I was thinking that the drops probably were helping with that. It is pretty darn amazing to be going on this well with only 500 cals a day! I'll probably be having "brunch" instead of "lunch" or maybe half of lunch early. Or maybe I'll just tough it out! What's everyone else's day looking like? |

Lucky, you are rockin' it!
I'm only down .6 today, but I'll take it! Especially after my breadstick debacle last night AND the fact that I was 20 oz. short on my water. Love to see that number go DOWN! Hoping for less hunger today. Bought some teas at the store last night. One is a vanilla chai that I thought you could drink 'straight', but aparently you're supposed to add milk and sugar to it. I'll try it anyway. I also bought a coconut chai. I know coconut is not on protocol, but I can't imagine that "natural coconut flavor" is all that bad? We'll see. Have a fabulous day, everyone! |

I have my plan made up for my first days.
3 cups of herbal iced tea diluted with 4 pints water Load: Snacks to have on hand: avocado w/cheddar, mayo, worchestershire, and lemon nuts, cheese, cottage cheese cream cheese, olives, and walnuts on toasted eziekiel bread or fiber crackers coffee with milk or Bailey's Bourbon and diet pepsi or a bloody mary Day 1: Breakfast: Bacon and/or sausage and eggs with cheese, toasted Eziekiel bread with butter Lunch: avocado and cheddar over lettuce with olives, walnuts, craisins (few), and ranch Dinner: baked chicken thighs, Linda Sue's Just like Stuffed potatoes, a couple bites of Stouffers mac and cheese if I want it Day 2: Breakfast: bacon, chipped beef on toast, bloody mary (going out to our breakfast joint and I can order this a la carte there) Lunch: same as Day 1 Dinner: salmon pan-seared in olive oil and dill, broccoli, hollandaise, a couple bites of stouffer's mac and cheese if I want it. For first VLCD, I have: chicken breast, romaine, 1/2 orange, need to get starch 1/2 apple venison, spinach, 1/2 orange, starch 1/2 apple thinly sliced and sprinkled with cinnamon I'm mixing the 1/2 orange with lemon, vinegar and spices to use as salad dressing. I wonder if I could put some onion into the salad? |

Jen, LOL @ "breadstick debacle". It sounds like it didn't set you back so much. Did you say that you were not this hungry on your first round? I am very curious as to whether or not my drops are working because I am still very hungry. Usually I am okay for a few hours after I eat, though.
Thanks for the tip on breaking up the daily menu, STBSinTX. I was thinking about doing that but wasn't sure if it would be a problem so was trying to hold out as long as possible. I worry though that eating only carbs right off in the AM will just make the hunger worse. Would protein be okay in the AM? I wonder why Dr. Simeons wanted people to skip breakfast. That seems kinda cruel if it's really okay to break up the menu! |

Lucky, for my first round I was very hungry for the first 9 days. Brutally so, but I was able to control myself in terms of what I was putting in my mouth. LOL
BUT ... on that magical 10th day, I felt GREAT. No crazy hunger, etc. It was AWESOME. It was at that point that I even started watching Man vs. Food and Food Network again. C'mon day 10 .... get here already!!! |

Ladies you are all doing Great!
![]() So here's my latest weigh in from this morning and my progress: P2 Day 1 (load) 191.4 P2 Day 2 (load) 188.6 (not sure how that happened..I pigged out) P2 Day 3 (VLCday1) 187.4 P2 Day 4 (VLCday2) 186.2 That's down 1.2 My problem right now (or worry) is that I have 2 teenage boys and a 9 year old girl that are all athletes and trying to gain weight, so I cook them dinner full of carbs and protein (this is how I gained so much weight!)..anyways, I love to cook and it's so hard not tasting my food! But I WILL conquer this and overcome each obstacle! Have a great day Ladies!

Ok, I finally went for half a cucumber. Feeling SOOOO much better. I think that may be the main sign for me that the drops are working. I would never feel this satisfied with just half a cucumber previously. I don't feel the need to totally pig out but sometimes I just get totally empty and that is unpleasant. So, I think I will plan on half a veggie portion for breakfast each day. Looking so forward to day 10!
Jacque that's awesome! I really don't think the herbal tea is a big deal. Dr. S just said "tea" but tea is just ground up leaves with water passed over it. Plus today's commercial black tea has who-knows-what chemicals in it (commercial coffee also), so I would be more leery of drinking that than herb tea. RE: Coffee - I know that commercial coffee has something in it that my brain does not like. I periodically get migraines after one thing or another and it got to where I would get one almost every morning. I began to attribute it to coffee. At the time I was drinking Folgers. But I noticed if I had a Starbucks drink I would be fine. So, I started grinding my own beans at the organic grocery store. I can drink that fine with no migraine symptoms at all. Plus it tastes awesome! I drink it black. I think the key to enjoying black coffee is higher quality coffee. |

I wish I liked my coffee black! That would make this SO much easier for me. I've tried it with many different kinds of coffee and I just can't do it!
This vanilla chai tea is alright. I could see how it would be delish with milk and sugar. LOL |

Nice work PHX! That first day is amazing! I wonder how much is the most anyone has ever lost in one day on HCG?
Also wondering... I bought 2 bottles of the drops so I would have one as a spare in case I use up this first bottle. Should I refrigerate it? |

QUOTE] Thank you! I know that first day really wow'd me! Last round I lost almost 8 in the first day, and about 6 the second. But...take that in stride as I have a lot to lose! So I don't expect the same results as I lose more. |

Nope. No need to refrigerate. Just put it in a dark cupboard. I have used opened bottles of Hhcg in subsequent rounds and they have worked for me!! Good thing is there is no special storage needed.

First round I had that headache too. For about a week (give or take). Tough it out and keep it manageable with Tylenol/Excedrin and it does pass! hHCG results are well worth it!

Omg I cannot do my microwaved chicken today. It made me gag. I remember it being that way the end of last round. Anyone here tried cottage cheese or white tuna? I gotta do something else easy to bring to work. I've eaten my veggie but need to grab something at the store for my protein that doesn't need cooking. How bout rotisserie chicken without the skin?

I'd be careful of rotisserie chicken. Of course you won't eat the skin, but you never know what's been injected.
Tuna is also a no-no if you're doing strict protocol. How are you cooking your chicken? Are you cooking it in the microwave or just heating it up in the microwave? I'm going to try eggs one day (1 whole + 3 whites) to see how that fares for me. |

I love eggs, too. I am intersted to see if they work for you... if they do, I may well try them too.
I can't believe I'm on day 7 already... this is going so fast! I may well continue this round until I hit goal, if it doesn't happen on its own. I am totally loving this.... oh, and my jeans are looser today... whooohoooo! |

~I hate reheated meat. I cook my stuff in advance and eat cold 99% of the time. Only exception is fish which I don't precook. |
