HCG Alternative Plans week of 1/3/11

Hi and WELCOME to everyone!

This is a thread to discuss those of us using HCG and following our own paths, doing our own experiments, or following the original Simeons Protocol as written.

We wanted a place to talk about what we are doing no matter what it is... anyone and everyone is welcome to join in the discussion or just read and maybe take some ideas away..

Instead of posting all the links to past threads, I will post our original link, then last weeks link. The last link will have all the links to our weeks so far, since we have so many threads it is getting quite long!

ORIGINAL THREAD
HCG - Non Simeon's Protocol

Last weeks thread
HCG Alternative Plans week of 12/27/2010

Down 2.2 lbs, AWESOME!

I am ready for another week and holding on tight because Aunt Flo will be in the house for her usual visit. You know with her anything is possible.

WOE: one day at a time!! LC!
Start Date: July 14, 2003 - every day!!
Good Monday morning all!!

Deb- Woo-hoo!! Way to go!! I knew you'd be in the 180's!! SO happy for you!! You do realize, you've lost almost 100lbs in 6 months, don't you? And although you've worked hard and made sacrifices, you've learned so much about your body and how it works, what it needs etc. and you're changing your whole life!! Take a moment to celebrate that!! What a wonderful way to start 2011!!!! That is so cool!!

Shari-you're doing so well!! WTG!!

Paula-I hear ya!! Love my new bras too!! and I feel and look so much better in them!!! And the cute shoes I got at Dillards too - couldn't resist, half off clearance? C'mon!!

I'm up a bit, but I think it's the handful of pistachios I had right before bed! I blame dh . I'm going on a date tonight, and know that the scale will not be happy with me tomorrow. Oh well, that's life! I'll be back to losing soon enough. Trying to keep it low during the day and "pad" my calories. Maybe this will really reset my metabolism and I'll lose well when I really buckle down? We'll see!

Thank you Julie, you are such a sweetie!!...

Yes, I think you have a great plan! At least I believe tricking the old bod will result in a higher metabolism eventually. I KNOW that I never lost this well in my life until now. HHCG, Cal/cycling... going down VERY LOW... then up again.. is doing SOMETHING!.. I won't argue...

Nice loss! Must feel great!

There was so much I wanted to respond to from last week's thread, but so hard to remember without being able to multiquote (I am a bit technologically challenged:blush but I want to say thanks to all who have reposted their individual plans. And thanks to all who responded on their experience with using mint toothpaste. It seems I have nothing to worry about and I will brush mintily and happily away!

Will start VLCD1 tomorrow. I'm still debating whether I will take 1 day/week for higher cals/lowcarb. Might help me stay the course more easily, but do I want to sacrifice losses? It seems as if most of you have no problem losing and having higher cal days. I also don't want to stabilize with my body thinking it only needs 500 cals OTOH part of me says just do the 21 days strictly and get it done". Does that all make sense? Just pondering...

Have an awesome Monday, everyone!

Of Course it makes sense! I ponder that also from time to time. I would love to just stay low and get to goal quicker. Some days I have the best intentions to do just that! Then I run into a wall of hunger... even with my drops doing their job, some days I just want more food.

That is something you need to decide for yourself, either way, it works!.. Good luck to ya Skinny to be! Happy Losing!

Just checking in-been experimenting with amount of drops/pellets-apparently I wasn't taking enough, because I am feeling better, slept better last 2 nights since increasing dosage.
Haven't quite decided if I want to do a strict 21 day again-until a decision comes along, will do the alternate day/low carb thing, that I can depend on.
Everyone is doing so well, Deb you are amazing. Ouis, I watch your progress, I think we have some of the same challenges. Everyone else, thanks for the inspiration, I am not very computer savvy to comment on each one, but I cheer your successes.

Yeah, it sucks! TOM has been with me for a few days and is screwing things up! Am just hoping for a whoosh at the end of the week. You will be just fine though.

Like, you said, that is life and you are living and you will be back in the game in no time. I saw pistachios last night at the store and passed on them. I would've eaten the whole bag! Have a great time on your date tonight!

I was going to try to stick with vlc days and for me, it wasn't going to work. I kinda zigzag my high cal and low cal days. I think I don't feel as deprived that way. The losses may be slower, but I don't feel like I am going insane. You will do fantastic, I'm sure of it!

I am still at 147. Boo hoo! But I know it is due to TOM. Oh well, hopefully I will have a nice big 5lb whoosh at the end of the week...NOT!!! I am feeling really good though! I went to my chiro today who I have been seeing since Aug and I am doing great. I only have to go once a month now to maintain. I felt like I was dying when I first started seeing her and was going twice a week. So this was huge for me. I feel like I am myself again, but thinner!!

Hey ladies Happy New Year and after my cheats on Sat/Sun I am still working on 1 lb to get back to where I was on Friday. OOPS! And I still have 5 lbs to get to LIW. So my chubby butt is still at 152 - not terrible considering what I ate on Saturday I guess but can not wait to kiss the 150s goodbye and start chipping away at the 140s

Hey all, a question for you... Today is VLCD1 for me. In a week, I travel for work, gone 5 days. Should I take a break and just low carb for that time? My food choices will be extremely limited. Work will be providing breakfast and lunch, and I may have a work function dinner one night.

Any suggestions? I'm fairly sure I can swing a LC break. Is that doable? Do I just stop my spray for the trip, then start up on vlcd8 when I get home?

You can certainly do that if you want to. It would be easier on you and you can be ready to hop right back in when you get back. Trick is to stick to your guns! Don't go hog wild, yet DO NOT STRESS!....

I think it is too soon to take a break but I'm not sure. Can you do protein shakes instead? They save me.

Yes, It is too soon if you are following strict Protocol, but since she is posting in this thread I assume she is not? In that case, do whatever you feel will work best for you!

Yes, trying to be as strict as possible, within reason. I don't think I'm going to be struck by lightning if I use ground buffalo patties instead of beef, ya know? Sometimes we have to make the best possible adjustments within our real lives. MHO, of course.
