Ok well the damage is done I suppose. I had tons of carbs on Christmas and cookies, etc... I was right back OP yesterday so I'm hoping this 2 pounds will be off in a day or 2 and I will see some new lows this week

I'm going to the gym for some cardio today and hopefully can sweat some of this water off!

I thought apples were to break stalls? Have people here used them after off protocol days to help drop e weight again?

Can someone explain an apple day for me in case I need it in the future? I know it's 6 apples... From lunch to lunch? So since there really is no lunch is it just one afternoon/evening of apple eating?

I have done a few apple days. Simeon's says to do them when you have stalled for about 5 days. I drink my coffee and water the morning of the apple day (no breakfast since we don't eat breakfast!!) and continue right up until noon that day. Then it is 6 apples between noon the one day and noon the next. You also don't drink, only to quench thirst. Then at noon the following day I start my regular P2--coffee and water and P2 lunch and dinner. It broke my stall every time I have done one, but have never done one to get over a cheat. Not worth it I think. Straight P2 eating will do the trick!!

DP,

I was thinking of doing the apples because my GF that is doing hcg from her doc showed me her instructions. It says do an apple day anytime you go over 700 cals. Thats not protocol so don't follow me. Sorry for the confusion. I might not even do it. Honestly its pretty much the same cals as p2.

Wont this put you over your 500 calories the next day? Or would you eliminate the fruit the second day past noon?
I usually have my fruits between lunch and then after dinner so if I did an apple day i'd have more in one day? That's where I'm confused
Hopefully I'll never have to do one. 10 pounds to goal. I'm to be there by the 15th

You do your day following the apple day as usual. So you may either count your apple at breakfast (I usually don't feel a need for one in the morning after an apple day) as your 1 fruit of the day or have 3. It is not really clear, in my mind how that works. Maybe that is why more people don't do them either!! I never eat all 6 apples either. But that could be because I pick the biggest ones I can find in the store!! Just knowing that he allows for 6 of them is enough for me. I never counted calories, just followed the food list Simeon's gave and have done quite well with it!

Well I'm gad I'm not the only one who doesn't get it! Lol.
Let's hope I don't have to do one!

I don't count calories either, but it seems an added apple would put you over

Good morning, ladies. I am down 1.4 lbs. today!! And again, I've gone a bit rogue with HnH in my coffee, and way more protein than is called for. But not one cheat OP in the types of food. No candy, cookies or pie. It has been tough the past few days since I have been off work, tons of goodies all around the house. But, it has paid off. In the past four days, I have dropped 4.1 lbs. I am very excited about that.

Good morning everyone. My "shake day" is over, I made it through. I have not weighed yet because I am hopping to have some "potty time" before I do. :P

I really hope I'm back in my window.

Hi everyone!! I'm back!!

I was on vacation last week and really don't get online from home much. Way too much to do when I'm home so I just don't have the time.

But, I was horrible with my food options last week. Stayed on plan up until about Tuesday. Then it was all out the window. Ate anything and everything in site. I'm up 3.2 pounds from last Friday, the 17th, which was the lowest I'd been on plan. So, I'm right back at it today with a renewed determination. This weight will come off.

Hope everyone had a great holiday!!

Chouter--that is fabulous!!! These new drops you are on are working huh?? Good going in the face of temptation. I know it is very hard.

Toomuch--I did weigh in and while it was not as much as I had hoped, I am down 1.4 pounds!! Not in my window, but getting there. Clean day for me today and hopefully tomorrow......

Amy--good luck getting back to it. I didn't do well last week either. It was just too hard, too tempting and too good food!!! Back at it again today though!!! You are so right---it will come back off. Whatever you do, it can be corrected.

Morning ladies.
Dawn, thanks for starting us.
And thanks for all the comments on my pictures.

It took all I could muster to "own the number" and get on the scale. I actually drank milk last night and we finished a lot of our low carb leftovers. I was fine with all my choices considering I have been at this since Sept. It was just my time to indulge a bit.

I am 3 pounds out of my window but I am ok with it. I have to be realistic. Today is a steak day.

Chouter!
So happy for you!!! You are doing it! It is going to happen for you.

Welcome back Amy!

Makeup,
thanks! So today is a new day. lets just do it! lol
I cannot do apples - they make me gain. I would do a modified steak day instead. But thats just me.

Hi TMB!!

Hello to all...talk at ya later. Gotta get my water in today.

Okay, so this past week was a failure. Maybe overboard with the cheeses and nuts, but overall skipped every dessert, carb, etc. and I am still up 5 lbs over LDW. Drank bunches of water yesterday and was still up 1.1 lbs this morning. I guess it's time to try my first steak day. Drinking nothing but water all day will stink, but will be worth it if i can get back down tomorrow. Any tips on what to avoid while preparing/eating the steak. On P3 I have been seasoning my steaks with montreal steak seasoning. Is that too much sodium? Also, I'm guessing I need to avoid the blue cheese with it. (Booo!)

Thanks,
Dan

Off to go walking but I wanted to mention a really weird thing that has happened.
My walking shoes are now too big. I guess I lost weight in my feet? Isn't that odd?lol
Glad I have Christmas cash to go shopping!

Dan,
I dont use anything on the steak...so I can get the best results. I think it is a YMMV kinda thing.

TMB,
way to go sticking to it!

Dan

My tips: I believe you should get the biggest fattiest steak you can find. I am on the smaller side and buy a 1 lb'er and finish it all myself!! I broil mine in the oven with butter on top. I do use seasonings--the same ones I used on P2 though. And definitely no blue cheese!! The reason for the tomato/apple is to help digest the steak. So please use only one or the other, nothing to substitute for it!! I have heard that the tomato is the better choice of the 2, so I always go for that. I have also heard it is best raw---so a few slices of tomato on my steak is the way to go for me!! Good luck!!!! OH, and 1 more thing, I always, always, always have coffee on my steak day!!! Hasn't hurt me at all. That and water and hot tea have always gotten me through my steak day.

On VLCD1! Gorged all weekend. Gained 2 lbs loading. Not terribly bad but I am 10 over R1 LIW since I have pretty much been gorging since Thanksgiving.

Tried my best to load properly I am 2 pounds over LDW, so I don't know if I ate enough or not. I did give it my best effort though. lol

Here's to surviving the next 3 1/2 weeks.

Dan
Hi Dan,

During my most successful P3, I avoided all nuts and cheese, and began and ended at exactly the same weight. My second P3, I ate all that yummy almond bread, and was up 4 or 5 pounds when I started this round. It has been tough getting back on the losing trail, but I am finally there. How's Jennie doing?
