There are lots of answers on this board and so many helpful people. I started not too long ago and I've got a thread around here somewhere that has questions/answers. There is also a "newbie" thread for those of us just learning how to do this diet. Glad you're here and don't be afraid to ask questions. These ladies are wonderful at helping us out!! Quote:

Sorry, I've been awol since last week.
Way to go on the losses! Even the little ones count, because they all add up. Amway, that menu you posted didn't have a vegetable. You mentioned having cabbage the day before, but what veggies are you having with your meals? I'm still up and down a bit, but not as much as when I first entered P3. I had a steak day on Monday because of Christmas Day pig-out. I did very well, didn't cheat, but I think I really am sensitive to cheese and possibly nuts. Both were my go-to snacks so I'm still trying to figure out what to do about that. It's a whole new way of thinking, just like when I started Atkins. I hope I catch the learning curve soon! DisneyPrincess, you're my inspiration because where you started is where I ended my first round. I have a bottle of drops left from that round, so I plan to start round 2 as soon as I'm stable as well as 6 weeks out from P1. Finally figured out what Bernice is, and she isn't visiting nearly as often as she should. StevieRenee, lookin' good! I love how my jeans are fitting, how they feel. Except they get baggy so soon now. I think the next round I do will price me out of clothes, though! Not many stores carry less than size 4 these days. I did find some jean leggings in 0 and 2 at Kohl's, but they sold out quickly. Also found size 2 skinnies at Target (wearing them now!) |

razorback- I gained 4.5 which put me at 187.5 during loading. after vlcd1, I was..................................
187.5 today is vlcd5 and i'm just now under my starting weight of 183. I was 182 today... yday, vlcd4, I was 183.5. SO frustrated! today, I'm happy and I feel good. Last night I was about ready to throw in the towel. You lost all of your loading weight plus .2 after your very first vlcd!!!!!!! be stoked, seriously!!!!!!!!! I think you're going to do very well. It bears repeating though.... I'M FINALLY UNDER MY STARTING WEIGHT, on vlcd morning 5!!!!! yes! 182 today.. so that is a lb under. NOW I'm getting excited!! I've decided no melba or fruit unless I feel that i absolutely need it for low blood sugar (with a protein.) and I'll probably eat half of my dinner portion of protein between lunch and dinner. Hey guys, what are you doing with your veggies? I really only like lettuce, fresh spinach, (sometimes frozen) radishes but not this time of the year, onions.... and cukes... cabbage. at least that's all i can think of. I will eat celery if it's in a soup but raw is out of the question. I hate the feel of it and how it makes my tongue numb! ew I'm so excited guys!

Amway, I ate salad a lot, with a dressing made with ACV, mostly because I'm picky about veggies and prefer most raw. I also like green salad.
I did enjoy making chicken soup and putting celery in it. Oh, and one of my favorite meals was onion soup with steak. A whole onion in two cups of broth is a lot to eat! I ate cukes and tomatoes sliced with sea salt on top. Never did eat cabbage because I've never really eaten it, other than in cole slaw, and don't know how to cook it. I like asparagus, but only with P2 off-limit foods, so didn't try that either. |

Hey Ladies,
I don't have time to post much right now. I'm back on plan! Today is day two of zero cheats. I have to get serious for a date that is in about three weeks. Gosh I need to get to goal. There is no reason that I can't lose ten pounds in 21 days. Mindfullness, welcome back! You can do this. We fall down but we get up! Chouter, size 8 and skinny!!! Your dedication has paid off! Im sorry I can't post more right now. Chugging green tea as I type. I have a date tonight. I insisted we do starbucks instead of dinner. I will drink green tea and nothing else. NO time to waste on a restaurant that may or may not be ok. Stay focused Makeup |

Was going to go to the gym but I'm not feeling it tonight. That's what's nice about this diet, I can still lose even if I don't workout! |

On my day off at home, I am having a really hard time staying out of all the candy and treats left over from the holidays. I'm better off at work than home with all this stuff around. I gave in and had a few pieces of brittle (evil brittle!!!) then ate about 1/3 of a cookie. I threw the rest of it away, and microwaved an apple with cinnamon and Xylitol. That was very tasty, and really hit the spot. I should have had that right away when the cravings became overwhelming. Oh well, live and learn.

I tried tuna salad, and found it way too salty. Ick. I had checked all of the brands at the store and they all had broth and salt added.
I also tried walnuts, hoping that tree nuts are ok. The problem is I tried both of these today, so if there's a reaction I won't know which caused it. I can try just the walnuts in a couple days. No way I'm having tuna again unless I'm desperate for protein. |

Good morning all!!
Well my theory about my body wanting more food is apparently proving to be correct. I ate what seemed like a ton yesterday. Started off with a large SF vanilla latte from McDonalds. For lunch probably 8 oz of cottage cheese, with a large whole tomato and melba. Then for supper last night it was an entire large (probably 12 oz) steak with the fat with an entire onion sauteed and a grissini. And had an orange last night around 8:30. Went from 175.2 yesterday to 173.8 today. What's the deal?! I'm not complaining but just wow!!

Lost nearly a pound yesterday. Might have been more if I hadn't endulged in that stupid almond brittle.
