Amen......the holidays are really tough. I think it might, just might, be easier to be on P2 then at least I have some control LOL. I am having my first cup of Greek yogurt right now. I wasn't even hungry this morning for it. And I might have a hard time fitting in all that I am "supposed to". So I might end up on the skimpy side as far as food is concerned but that is alright by me!

I am starving today!!! The littles are watching a movie- so popcorn and M&Ms have passed through my fingers...but not my lips. That was tough, but not impossible. It is only 4:25 here...but my steak is already on the grill. Going to cook it s-l-o-w...but will probably eat by 5.

Steak days+ Me + no cheating= 3 pound release. VERY excited and happy with that. Now I am exactly two pounds over LDW. Will eat lean until that number goes down a bit more so I can have a little bit of room on Christmas Eve. Roasting a chicken today. How did you do yesterday, Dawn??

OH, down 2.4 pounds myself!!! Yeah!! Still not in my window though. Clean eating today for me! I was able to have 2 portions of the Greek yogurt and only 1/2 of my allotted berries. But while at work I got a lot of fat!! Someone ordered a breve and I made myself a breve too! So it all worked out in the end.
Oh, and I totally forgot! Good job on the steak day! Those are awesome results. Last edited by dawnyama; 12-21-2010 at 07:29 AM.. |

Thanks!!! You too!!! 2.4 WOOOOOO-HOOOO!!!!
I'm trying to plan today for Christmas Eve. DH is on duty Christmas Day...so the Eve will be our "day" to celebrate. Trying to figure out some sort of "treat" to make. I think I may even just do SF candy. LOL That way I can eat it...and then it is over with. No freezer gnawing later. ![]() |

Yeah, I am trying to figure out what to do for Christmas Eve. We go to DH's aunt's every year to celebrate and this year I don't work on Thurs so I have some time to bake!! Unlike at Thanksgiving. So I am in the recipe section looking at all the goodies I can make. Specifically Paula Deen's Pumpkin bars. They sound great and very holiday-ish. But just may go with LC cookies. Decisions, decisions.....

If someone specifically states with heavy whipping cream then we have to open a container of that and use it. It rarely happens but we do have the occasional customer ask. Good thing we are in a grocery store, we have all sorts of milks to chose from! At home I use them both. Whatever is on sale at the time I need some more!!! |

One thing I loved most about working at Starbucks was making a zillion custom short drinks to test creations. We made some yummy stuff! |

I am amazed at some of the combos my co-workers come up with. Who knew that a Caramel Apple Spice could be made into a frappuccino????? Not me!!! I am one of those who needs a recipe--I don't create. But I love working with some of my co-workers just for the fact that they do create!

I'm a certain you all are loving my panicked posts.
I'm sorry...P3 is just confusing...frustrating...and I'm ready to move on to the next round asap. Until then....I have yet another problem. I did a steak day day before yesterday. It worked. I lost three pounds. That put me down to exactly 2 over LDW (I have hovered here the ENTIRE time of P3- and actually only down to my LDW ONE DAY, then back up 1.5 the next...so not sure if my LDW is just too hard to achieve being that I've only been there ONCE). Sorry...off track...okay, well....so yesterday morning I was 2 pounds over LDW. I just had a lean day. Baked a chicken. Blah-blah...same old song and dance. Well TODAY....I am up three pounds again. Nice. SOOOOOOOOO I am 5 pounds over LDW. I also...started TOM. SO? Steak Day? Because I'm thinking....I need to have a little more room than that on Christmas Eve. I have done three steak days. Thank you. |

Sweetie
I would just give up at the point you are at!!! I am wondering if you are sensitive to chicken? I know someone posted that just yesterday. Your body is going to be so used to those steak days that it won't be effective after a while--or your body can become dependent on them. I would not do that. Just try having a great food day that is filled with good P3 foods. Try eggs and bacon for breakfast, tunafish with mayo for lunch and a salad and protein for dinner. Just try to relax because stressing is hard on the body too. I know, I know easier said than done!!! I posted this in the P4 thread, but have given over to the fact that for now my range is 120-122. I am not liking it, but I have decided to quit fighting my body and just roll with it. I just want to be stable and my body just likes 120. I will try another round sometime next year, or maybe not. We will see!! Good luck!!

Merry Christmas to you too!! I am off to the store to buy some crabmeat that is on sale. Gotta love a sale!!! I totally get what you are saying...it is tiring to have to weigh every single day, panic when it is not a number you like, wonder what do I eat today???? Very stressful. Sometimes it is nice to just have a breather where you don't worry for a day or 2. Have fun!!
