HCG ALTERNATIVE PLANS week of Dec. 13, 2010

Hi and WELCOME to everyone!

I thought I would change the name this week, because some of us are following parts of Dr. Simeons Plan, and calling it Non Simeons did not sit well with some folks. So from now on, this thread will be called HCG ALTERNATIVE PLANS.

This is a thread to discuss those of us using HCG and following our own paths, doing our own experiments, or following the original Simeons Protocol as written.

We wanted a place to talk about what we are doing no matter what it is... anyone and everyone are welcome to join in the discussion or just read and maybe take some ideas away..

Our Original thread:
HCG - Non Simeon's Protocol

HCG Non Simeon's Week of Oct 18-24
HCG Non Simeon's Week of Oct/25/2010
HCG Non Simeons week of Nov. 8, 2010
HCG Non Simeons week of Nov. 15, 2010
HCG Non Simeons week of Nov 22, 2010
HCG Non Simeons week of Nov. 29, 2010
HCG Non Simeons Week of Dec- 6- 2010

Just a quick drive by. 2 pounds gone...which makes me think I was definitely out of ketosis with my naughty weekend of parties!

152.0 So that's over 2 pounds less than last week, and 1 pound away from virgin territory.

Keep it strong today ladies. Something really hard about controlling your eating on cold days!

Deb, love the name change!

I'm closing in on the 140s! I can't wait! I'm anticipating lots of gift cards for clothing for Xmas...and I can't wait to pick up some pants that fit. And bras.

These 14 cords I got at the start of November are already quite baggy....I need to take them in a bit. It's so cool to be getting close to single digits sizes, when I've been in plus sizes for the last 8 years or so.

Thanks for cheering me on (and cheering everyone). Really helps even when we're frustrated with stalls and relosing weight!

TBF Thanks! and enjoy that desk heater...I love those things!

Oh yeah...like a virgin... Madonna's song kept running thru my head!

My little daughter wears a 10 slim...that's something like a 22 1/2 inch waist (she's 11 and 62 pounds). I'm pretty sure I'd be dead if I reached her size. I swear I do try to feed her up. She isn't actually underweight like when she was a preschooler. But very close to it. I let her drink cream, she gets donuts once a week, and encourage plenty of fat. Can't bring myself to encourage her candy addiction though!

Great Job, Paula! I am so envious!
I like the name change too. Sounds exactly like what we are all doing. Thanks, Deb.

OK...officially frustrated!!! Did a steak day, and had lettuce instead of a tom. I am up .2! Still not at 179.0 which has been my lowest since starting my first round. I am on day 17...

Help! Advice?!?!? I was cycling, but lately I have been low (for me) around 700-1000. I was around that same amount when i was steady dropping .5-1.0 a DAY!!

It COULD be just a natural stall at day 17... my entire last week of my first round was a stall. So from day 15-21 was a bust for me. Sometimes it is just your body's way of catching up.

Just keep on doing what you are doing and I bet you see a whoosh very soon! When I got to day 22 and started upping my cals, I saw a 2 pound drop, then another 2 pounds the next day.

Unfortunately we just can't have a smooth loss most of the time. Hang in there!!

Well, my body is still hanging on here in the 170's. After a few ups and down this weekend, I am still 170.6, it's not my lowest but I'm not freaking out just yet. I know that I have not been eating clean and that is why I am stuck. We had two parties this weeked, a staff meeting yesterday and today with lunch served, and then two more staff luncheons on Wednesday and Thursday!!!

I also realized that I was not drinking enough water so I am back on track with that.

Fingers crossed that tomorrow AM brings me into a new decade, 60's here I come!!!

Thanks Deb ... love the new thread name! VERY appropriate indeed!!

Isn't this snow lovely? DH stayed home yesterday to shovel out paths to the animals and such and to take care of the chores too! It's beautiful this morning, everything covered in sparkling white. Then again, when I'm out doing the farm chores later, I may not feel so appreciative of it! Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Thanks, Deb. Not giving up just yet. i still feel good on this rogue plan and I do enjoy the foods we DO get to eat. I think I will stay on this until after Christmas. I feel more in control and I am afraid that if I start on P3 this close to the holidays, I will get a taste of more food and not be able to stop before too much damage is done.

Island--160's?? That is awesome!!

I so hear you!! I've been stalled for a week or so myself!! I'm down a bit today, but basically ate 500cals yesterday and was really hungry!! I wish I didn't feel like I had to starve to lose!! Hope you get moving again soon. Hang tough!

You'll be there any moment now!! Keep us posted!! Those decade drops are so exciting!!

Hi Deb-like the new thread name, and hope you're enjoying your "break" still. Maintaining worries me, but you're giving me hope .

Paula-you're so close too!! You'll be in the 140's soon!! I'd love to join you, but probably not until Jan.

I am back down, actually to a new low today of 154.8!! But, I had to basically starve to get here. I dont' like feeling like I can't eat if I'm hungry, but I do like the results . I stuck to about 500-600 cals yesterday with chicken for lunch and a protein shake for dinner. Not sure if my stall is just over or I was so low on cals I finally lost some water I'd been holding, or what. But I'm happy it's down. Gonna' stay the course a while longer, and on to P3 by Friday. I was ready to quit and go to P3 today if the scale didn't move, was actually looking forward to it , but I'm down, so I'll see what tomorrow brings. Having cottage cheese for lunch and either chicken or a protein shake tonight. Should lose tomorrow. We'll see. Let the experiment continue!

Just checking in-like the new name. I have been getting injured every time I do any lifting, did I read something somewhere that as the bodyfat leaves, sometimes the muscles have a readjustment to go through???
I am a musician, and everytime I go to play for an event I have to lift my guitars and amp etc. into my car, and then into the place I am playing. Afterwards reload again, and then unload back at home. This is 1-2 times a week. The last 2 months I seem to pull an abdominal or back muscle every time I go out, takes a couple days to stop hurting. (yes, been to a MD and got inconclusive advice). This really is something new. Anyone else notice anything about 'sports injuries"?

HIYA Julie!!... no you should NOT have to starve to lose... grrrr.... I hope you just had hit a normal stall and would have lost anyway... I would hate to think that all I could eat was 500 cals FOREVER..

Anyway... I find maintaining to be pretty easy... like I have said before.. .the key for ME.. is always following a high day with a low one... If I do that.. I can maintain very easy over the course of a week.

The tricky part comes when I have more than one high day in a row... that leads to a weight GAIN.. and nope.. not having that!.... So If I DO that.. I must be ready to go low for a couple of days and I definately don't like doing it more than one day in a row during maintainance... blah!..

Lesson for today? ... don't over eat more than one day in a row....

Wow.. you are a musician too?...busy lady!... no sports injuries.. YET.. maybe cuz I don't do much... except my Eliptical.... not weight lifting yet.. hope someone jumps in here with an answer... but hope you don't really injure yourself badly during these times... take care!!!

I like the new name too. I am on day 14 and have only lost 5 lbs so far. I think that could be accomplished without the drops. Not throwing in the towel yet and will run the full course.

I enjoy reading everyone's posts. Thanks!

While 5 pounds is wonderful, I would think it would be more.. what kind of plan are you using Jackie?

I started out the first week with about 800 calorie no fat, no dairy, no wheat. I followed the Six Week Body Makeover eating plan (which I used to lose 100 lbs in 2002/2003). A typical day of eating is:
B-2 egg whites, 1/2 grapefruit
MMS- 2 egg whites, 1/2 apple
L- 2 oz chicken, 1 rice cake, big green salad with balsamic
MAS- 2oz tuna, 1 rice cake
D-2 oz beef or chicken, green salad with balsamic, maybe 1/2 c rice or maybe not depending on what I made.

So good loss the first week - like 3 lbs. I tweaked it after reading hour after hour on here...to basically the same plan but NO carbs at all.

See my problem is that I don't have a thyroid. I had cancer in Dec. 2005 and it was removed. I take Levothyroxine but the first two years after surgery I gained almost 30 pounds even though I followed the same eating plan. It was so weird but I have read that it's normal for alot of thyroidectomy patients. I was hoping the HCG would be the secret to losing weight again...

Let me know what you think. I am always open to new suggestions. I do work out alot as I am a personal trainer at a gym so I try to keep my protein high.
