Dawn, this is my 4th day of P3 and I am having trouble with getting to eat dinner. By the time dinner rolls around I am full and the only thing I am eatting is breakfast and lunch. After lunch for some reason my stomach is upset. I am eatting salad and some form of meat. Today it was 50 grams of chicken and 50 grams of Shrimp.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hexa--

I was nauseated my first day of P3 of my first round. My tummy was so upset that it sent me running to the bathroom after I would eat anything. I know, TMI. But it has happened to me. What was suggested for that is the acidophilus. The very moment I took one, my food stayed in my tummy and no more digestive issues. I thanked the Lord for that big tip!! Because nothing was staying in me I was worried so much about gaining. Anyhow, I highly recommend taking probiotics when coming off a round. It was explained to me like this: your body has not had to process any fat while you were in P2. Those organs that have that as a job were able to rest up. Now that they are called upon to work it may take a few days to get them going again. Makes sense, right???? I wish you feel better today!

Oh, I needed to add that I took 1 acidophilus before each meal for 3 days straight. Then I tapered it off to once a day after that. I wanted my stomach to get straightened out.

Not nauseated, Just not hungry. I had a little sausage and cheese from an appetizer tray last night for supper. Like 2 cubes of cheese and 3 slices of sausage.
The taco salad I made the guys ate, but I was into something else by then and wasn't up for eating.

Dawn to the rescue again. I didnt eat much today but I am going to force myself to eat dinner. I cannot believe that I am not hungry. I was dreaming of P3 and now I am eatting and going LOL... Whatever.

Tons of people have commented on my weight loss and you know us women we will show a body part in a minute I showed my friend how my stomach is developing, with resistance I can tell you, and she commented on the definition and changes. I am sure the second round should help me with this beast.

My dinner for tonight:
Salad (again)
pine nuts
almonds
1 egg for protein
EVOO and balsamic vinegar
spices

Thanks fo the tip. I will need it

Hello All!

First day of P3 for me yesterday!
B: 2 cups of chicken, broccoli pesto with miracle noodles
L: canned tuna mixed with 1 hard boiled egg, celery and mustard
D: sashimi sushi and a riceless sushi roll -- oh so yum!!!
S: 3 pieces of sugar free Russell Stovers toffee; watermelon

I'm not sure if sugar free Russell Stovers is protocol but I have a sweet tooth and I was proud to stop at 3 small pieces

2 eggs, 4oz cream cheese, one packet splenda and a splash of daVinci's (all I have on hand is amaretto)
Blended in my magic bullet
Fried half in a pan of butter like a big pancake and dumped the other half in a small ramekin and nuked for minute for a cheesecake like thing for later.

Thanks

That sounds good I will have to try it, I don't have any daVinci what else can I put in it for flavor? I have vanilla and I think almond flavored vanilla do you think this would be ok?

yeah, I think it would be great! Just a really small amount though, the splenda (or whatever sweetener you use) helps give just the right amount of sweetness so the DaVincis is really just for a little flavor, not the sweetness. I hardly use any.

Nope. I used what I had in the house already. I am cheap and buy ones that I find on sale (I love the buy one get one frees!!) or are cheap!! I have used the acidophilus pearls that I can find at Wal-Mart and the more expensive kind. They work just as well, from what I could tell. I bought the pearls because they are teeny, tiny and thought my DD could use them as well. She doesn't swallow pills very well and these are nothing. So if you cannot swallow the pearls are great!!!

YOu need to start posting what you are eating that way we can help you. Eating too much is just as bad as eating too little. We have to find the balance. Are you eating enough protein? Are you eating sugars and starches? Because the number 1 rule in P3 is no sugar AND no starches. By doing a steak day every other day your body is getting used to that and after a while they are no longer effective.

Please be gentle. I am seriously hungry all the time now, and trying to make wise choices. No starches or sugar that I'm aware of (except the bit in pb. maybe that's a problem)
Yesterday's menu (I was up 3.6# over the morning before after eating the following):
7:30am breakfast: scrambled eggs with diced ham and cheese
11:45 am lunch: lettuce, chicken, bacon, tomatoes, shredded cheese with sugar-free bacon ranch dressing; apple
3:00pm snack: cheese on a bunless burger
6:30 dinner: cube steak cooked with onions and Worcestershire sauce, green beans; orange

spoon of pb while making dinner.

Looking at this, I think my portions are too large, the Worcestershire sauce could contain too much salt (not sure) and maybe I'm sensitive to dairy and/or pb. I grabbed the pb to push off the hunger. I would have grabbed a cheese stick but wondered if the dairy was causing problems.

I read your earlier post and think maybe acidophilus would help. I'm not eliminating as much as before the protocol and definitely feel bloated whenever I eat.

How do I push off the hunger? I forgot to add I also drank 96 oz iced tea (sweetened with stevia) and 72 oz water for a total of 168 oz of liquid.

the ham likely has sugar in it.(read the ingredients, most ham does) Bagged shredded cheese usually contains starch.
and peanuts are not really a nut but a legume

Maybe you are eating too much cheese that could be why you are gaining, also eat more pure protein not the processed stuff.

This last P3 I decided I was going to be stable. This is what I did: NO NUTS AND NO CHEESE. I think that was the key for me being stable this time around. I have done this 5 times and the best stabilization I have had, have been my first and my last round. I know it sucks to not have cheese, but I heard that it is high in sodium so I held off for a few days before adding it in. You do what you have to do. I would rather be stable than eat cheese. LOL. Then when I did I cut a 1 oz chunk off the bar. I don't use shredded. I see you are having cheese at 3 times in one day!! I think you should cut that out altogether first!!! I also KNOW that after a steak day you are to eat a clean P3 diet--which means no nuts and no cheese in order to keep the weight off!!

I did a steak day yesterday and this menu for today has no nuts and no cheese. This is what I ate so far today: Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled in butter with bacon; Lunch: a chicken breast (cooked with butter!!) dipped in ranch dressing; Snack: 3 oz blueberries with cream poured on top and then topped with whipped cream Dinner: ? I don't know yet!! It is not dinner time but I am thinking I will have a salad (with no cheese or nuts!!) and maybe tunafish (just a can of tuna mixed with mayo and mustard).

Good luck!!!

cynaminbear, I concur with the ladies above. If you want cheese start with limiting yourself to 1 oz of block cheese that you shred yourself, 1 x a day. While doing so, if you have to have a salty meat, limit yourself to, let's say 2-3 pcs of bacon 1 x a day (not everyday, perhaps 2 x a week. Eat clean at dinner and take notes. The next day, if you see that you are stable, add .05 oz more of cheese 1 x a day, etc...

And drink plenty of water! Especially if you have salty type foods.

Buy reduced sodium products like Worcestershire and soy sauce and use sparingly.

IMO, what I see is too much cheese and salt.

My menu today so far: 3 egg veggie (mushroom, green & red pepper & onions) omelet with 2 pcs of crumbled bacon and 1.5 oz of reduced sodium swiss cheese.

Snack will consist of not much today; 2 celery sticks with crunchy almond butter, berries and a little homemade whip cream.

Dinner: Crockpot chicken and I haven't decided on the rest yet.

You'll get it all figured out

Thank you for checking my menu and all the suggestions. I very much appreciate the support.

I'll work on no cheese then slow introduction to see how I react. I always forget the shredded cheese is tossed in starch to keep it from sticking. Fortunately, I didn't go over 1 oz because I use only a little.
The ham was a canned ham I'd made for my family then froze, so I completely forgot about the processing and additives.
Yesterday was a lot of liquid, and much was drank after dinner, probably because of the salt.
Today I've continued the water and will get close to, if not more than, a gallon of liquids.

I'll keep watching these menus everyone posts to get great ideas.

Weight this morning is the very highest of my limit. Cleaning up eating and drinking lots and lots of water yesterday really helped.

Today's lunch will be:

lettuce, 4 oz steak, tomatoes, protocol approved salad dressing
maybe an apple

I finally got hungry yesterday.
Breafast was the cream cheese and egg pancake
Had a taco salad, heavy on the meat late afternoon, No cheese.
I ate a LC cheesecake thing I had made
and then late late late last night I was starved so I ate an Atkins but and seed bar. Might not have been a great choice but I wasn't up to cooking at 2am

Honestly, you have to double your proteins when you hit P3. So make that steak an 8oz and you have it!! The gain could be you are not eating enough OR eating too much. When we are on P2 we are on the very cusp of protein sparing so when you switch to P3 you have to double the protein to optimize the stabilization. And when you say protocol approved salad dressing--what are you referring to?? Hopefully not a fat free one. I love my blue cheese dressing and slather my salad as well as foods with that!! Boy do I love P3!!!
