I have done an egg day. And while I could not get down a dozen I was close one time. I don't worry about cholesterol--never have and never will. Eggs are a great source of protein--the perfect protein they have been called actually. Nothing wrong with them at all.

I agree with this. And, if I remember Biology class, most of your cholesterol is produced by your body, not eaten. So, dietary cholesterol intake is only a small part of what might give one a cholesterol problem.

Wait - with an egg day you can't have ANYTHING but eggs? I had eggs and salad and veggies and did great?! A little mayo, salad greens, baby spinach and mushroom and a half a small avocado also !

You silly!! Of course and egg day is just eggs. Biz says that a smidge of mayo or cheese so that you can "tolerate them" is fine, but yup--all eggs!! Otherwise it would be called a different correction day. Still
on that one!!

Helpful thread for me today--especially since the original poster had EXACTLY the same thing happen to her that I had today (sudden 2 lb gain).

Question though--what happens if you do a CD and only lose a pound or two and are still outside your window? Do you do another one immediately or wait?

Rule 1) No CD's back-to-back
Rule 2) Don't use the same type of CD twice in a row

So: something like Chicken CD, protocol day, Steak CD, protocol day, GY CD, protocol day -- until you're back inside your window.

I know this is an old thread, but this is my question too, so I'm hoping someone will chime in:

What if you're in P4...what is considered "protocol" then in this scenario?

If you're in P4, it's not as important to do CDs, but you can still do them to hover around your weight. Dr. S does suggest to do so. I think the point that Dr. S was trying to make is that it's easier to lose a quick gain than it is to lose a slow gain. If you jump out of window suddenly and correct it that day, you'll solve your problem. If you let it go, you could keep gaining, and that gain is harder to lose the longer you have it.

So basically: whether you correct or not is up to you, but it's easier in the long run to maintain a certain weight point if you do.

HTH!

CDs are really for P3 and P4, but P2 does have "stall-breakers" that you can try. Dr. S has patients do an apple day if they have stalled at the same weight for at least 4 days and psychologically need to see the scale move. Some people have done mini-steak days where they eat just a 7oz steak and tomato for dinner and that's it. OR they split the steak and tomato in half and eat lunch and dinner.

These are meant to break stalls though. Not really correction days.

But the day after my egg day weigh in I lost the weight I needed to. In other words, you might not see the results ON THE SCALE til 2 days after your correction day. Hence the reason we call it "the 2-day effect". You might not see any results from a cheat or a correction for 2 days. Keep that in mind.
You talking about me!? LOL I ended up doing "chicken day" corrections. Take dark meat chicken, coat in butter, eat as much as you can. Works the same as a steak day (or, at least, it did for me).
