my head is spinning....

since I've used very expensive hhcg before and i was starving every minute of it, I'm terrified to try again.. But i'm also very excited. I figure that since I was addicted to carbs, maybe that had something to do w it. maybe i didn't load well enough, I dont know.... I've been doing atkins induction for quite a while now, so I'm HOPING that if I do it now, maybe I won't be as hungry...

I would love to use some cheap stuff that promises great results, but I'm more drawn to the more expensive stuff... pellets for 50.00, drops around the same price, a little higher.... I see some for 12 etc on amazon... I'm just so I'm so scared it wont work and ill lose more money. we aren't really rolling in dough...

any suggestions of brands etc? or tips? I've had some great people pm me today with loading tips and brand tips. I really am thankful. I'm not interested in the injections at thispoint in time.

I've heard great things about the mediral brand. I do the cheap brand - natural health labs. Actually when I did the shots I only spent $65...not a very high amount, but expensive compared to my drops.

I'm sure you can tweak this to do a round without hunger. Really only you know what will work for you. For me it was a protein thing.

For tips on hunger...I am sure you know about broth and warm tea - yerba mate is good, or any tea that you like!

i am addicted to teas, so knowing i can have that anytime i want is wonderful! I had only tried one kind when I did this last, and thought I hated them. so this is good! I actually didn't know about broth, what ist he amount? I have the original protocol, and some books and I'm sure I'd never read about that. I was advised to split up my meals throughout the day and that didn't work. I'm sure I'll eat more protein this time around....

oh- and what supplements do most of you take? some of the drops/pellets I'm looking at have l-carnatine l glutamine etc in them. I know that a b-12 is important, but how do you know what b-12 is a "great one?"

I'm in no rush, but I do have a tendency to Ffeel rushed when it comes to things with so many options. I do want to start on the 1st.

Splitting up meals didn't work for me. I do better if I hold off and eat twice a day. I actually try to do the 5 hour window thing, and eat at 12:30 and 5:30. Then at night I'll toss some potassium salt on lemon wedges and 'snack' on them.

I don't know that the broth is true to protocol, but most people use it anyways especially the first couple days. Normally I only used one cup a day.

I don't do the b-12...my levels were really good last time my doctor checked (she had to give me shots a few years ago). Eating lowcarb kind of fixed my problem, so I haven't messed with that. Not that it would hurt. However the really good kind of b-12 is the methylcobalamin. That is the form used directly in your blood and the other forms need converting. My system was messed up and it was not converting....folate levels were off the roof but I was deficient because the methyl was 'trapped' and the form of folate in my blood was not the form usable. Probably more than you want to know about me.

I supplement with calcium, magnesium, and get plenty of potassium with the salt (I measure out a 1/4 teaspoon in the morning and use it throughout the day). I'm also a touch anemic so take my daily iron after lunch. I take vitamin D and a fish oil capsule as well (those are non protocol fyi).

My calcium is 400 mg and my magnesium is about 100. I can't take more calcium or I'll get cramps...can't take more mag or... well... you don't want to know. Most people take more mag than me though. I use magnesium malate, but any kind except oxide is good (oxide is only 2% absorbable).
