I have done this while experiencing no hunger on a round to experiencing hunger for an entire round. On both I have lost 15 pounds. I know this works, but you have to want it more than anything else. I am also a believer that you should follow the plan to a "T". When you start substituting and tweaking you have more chances of NOT maximizing your results. But that is ME!!! I will tout that you should do it by the book and if you don't that is fine. I have BTDT and know that being 100% true to the plan is the best way to go!!! Good luck!!!

ty! i will be doing it by the book to start out. if i find it unbearable like last time ill tweak and see what happens. the worst that can happen is it doesn't work and i lose 10-60 bucks. (depending on what i buy)

Worked for me
I lost more than 30 lbs in the 40 day Simeon protocol. I did it completely "by the book". I did the injections, although into fat not muscle, using half-inch needle. No pain at all. I was hungry, but not anymore than on any weight-loss plan. The only thing I noticed was that when I needed to eat at lunchtime and dinner, I needed to eat RIGHT NOW. I didn't have the reserves to wait very long. No problem with hair, weight melted off like crazy. No loose skin, in fact I kept touching my upper arms because it felt so strange that they were tighter every day. The downside was that I only had a few more pounds to lose when I stopped the round, as per Simeon. I should have just kept going for it. I haven't been successful on subsequent rounds, because my head just isn't in the game. Maybe next time. Taking a rest for a while doing low carb only.

dizana- ty for your input. I can imagine that after 40 days, it's hard to get back on that saddle. I know- I did weight watchers and lost 40 lbs about 6 years ago. had a baby and gained it all back plus some. I tried so so so many times to get back into ww and ijust couldn't... SO glad i found lc!

I did a very good Round 1 it was long about 60 days and I lost about 40lbs. I started off the first 25 days or so strict to the protocol, but then started to stall for about 2 weeks...at that time instead of finishing the round, I started to add in more foods that were protocol approved, (plus green beans) but increased the amount of food while taking away the fruit and toast. I personally began to lose weight again immediately after that. I would've kept going too. Then I suffered some tragedies and fell into my problem binge eating. Right now I'm on Day 20, I'm on my own plan which is far stricter than the original protocol and taking a pre-natal vitamin to make up for that, and I feel fantastic. I will know Monday if my way yielded better results or not but I'm getting alot of feedback from people around me.
I would say, try being strict to the protocol or the Omaha weight loss plan (owl) and if it works for you with no problems then go for it. Try to get at least a full week of no cheats or tweaks in before deciding to change anything. I personally wouldn't abandon the drops all together unless you're really indulging and it's counter productive.
