Anyone starting P2 on January 1st?

I am and I cannot wait to see that scale on a downward spiral once again.

I'm into my second week for P3 and am mostly maintaining at 2 pounds above my LDW. Boo hoo. I'm .4 over today and will do a steak day, but am skeptical since I did not lose the last time I did one (last week). If it does not work, I will not do anymore no matter what the scale says.

I don't eat nuts and haven't added cheese back into my diet so maybe my body is just comfortable being 2 pounds above my LDW, but I want that number to go down, down, down!

Anyway, would love to see if anyone else out there is starting P2 for the New Year.

Happy Tuesday!

I am sorry your steak day didn't work. I know that it does NOT work for some. Their bodies just don't do well with beef for some reason. Perhaps if this doesn't work it might be good to try another correction day! There are a bunch to try. I love the shake days---I love my protein shakes!! Good luck today. My steak day yielded a 2+ pound drop today. I am pretty happy about that!

I'm starting around the first of the year. I'm thinking of loading on the 2nd and 3rd of January. Our church's Christmas dinner is on the 2nd. If I load the 2nd and 3rd, I can do a more LC, high fat load day on the 3rd. I, too, can't wait to see the scale start going down again. I'm P4D20 today, and my 16s are falling down (but not quite all the way, my hips and pooch are getting in the way)... and my 14s are too tight. I'm anxious to start moving down again, but don't want to be in P2 over the holidays.

Jennifer, steak days never work for a good friend of mine's sister. But, other types of correction days do work. You might try a chicken day, an egg day, or an egg & grapefruit day. Good luck!

I'm planning on starting back into P2 at the beginning of January also--loading on New Years Eve and New Years Day. I'm taking an extended P4 to get through the holidays and I can't wait to watch the scale drop again.

Yay, we have a group! I will load on 1/1 and 1/2 and likely have my first vlcd on Monday, 1/3.

Is it too late to do a chicken day? Is it the same 'science' as a steak day, but just do it with chicken instead? I've not eaten anything yet today, but get home and be able to cook anything (steak or chicken) until around 6pm.

I tried a chicken day just like the steak day. I used chicken thighs. It did not work for me though. But since the steak day didn't work this may for you. Wishing you luck!!

I thought I read on here somewhere that a chicken day is roasting a whole chicken, and then eating on it/from it for the whole day. Google "chicken day on the hcg diet", and you'll find some instructions. I guess you could try doing it like a steak day and see what happens. Good luck!

You can also sub out the steak for chicken just like a steak day. It worked for Ragdoll on here years ago. At least I thought that is where I read about it!!! I know debkeversole has used the roasted chicken day and it has worked for her. Good thing there are so many choices for CDs

I'm hungry today (unlike my last steak day), so I'm sticking with steak tonight because it cooks faster, but if I have to do this again, I will definitely try a chicken day!

Dawn, when you did your steak day recently, how big was your steak? Just want to make sure I get one that is appropriately sized!

Also, when you make your whipped cream, how much sweetener do you use?

Yes I'm starting again on P2 and this time I will take the diet seriously.

I think this diet will work if I just follow the rules. I think what I need to remember is that if I just do it right that I may never ever have to diet again.

When I put it like that, I know I can be strong.

Good to know. Thanks! Yes, it is a good thing there are so many choices. Don't know what I'll choose when the "opportunity" presents itself. I've been lucky so far.

FYI - My friend has a steak at 3pm and then another steak at their regular dinner time (around 6pm). She skips the tomato/apple. Works for her. Good luck!

It's so interesting that we're all so different. Just need to learn our own bodies.

When I had my steak day yesterday I ate leftover that was already cooked. It was probably 8 oz or so. I usually eat at least 16 oz though!! Believe me I am small but I can pack away some food!! And having the tomato helps digest the protein in the steak so I would chose that over the apple.

I don't make my own whipped cream. I buy the sugar free Land 'O Lakes in the can. When I eat it at work, I use what we make which is made with the regular vanilla syrup, not the SF version. For a 16 oz container we use 8 pumps of they syrup. I know that doesn't help much!! But when I did make my own, I used 2 TBL of the SF vanilla pudding to about 2 cups of the liquid cream. Then whipped it good!! That is in Dana Carpender's low carb cookbook.

Count me in!!

On New Years last year, I tried the HCG program and lasted only 4 days. I just wasn't in the mindset, I think. Been reading about it for the last year and this time I feel very ready to lose the weight. I have been lurking around and watching everyone lose and stabalize....amazing!

I just received my HHCG and I am now in the process of going through my checklist. Switching out my beauty products, meal planning and preparing my family that I will "feed my self" for 40+ days starting Jan 1st (my hubbie is the cook and makes amazing meals, but not one is on protocol).

I have about 60lbs to lose, so I hope it will take me 3 rounds to lose all the weight.

I plan to load on the 30th and 31st (no huge plans that night) and then begin VLCD1 on Jan 1st.

I am so glad to see there is a "group" forming!

I'll start round 5 vlcd's as soon as the kids are back in school. I think that will be the 4th. Depending on my results this month for the next 2 weeks, it will be a standard 21 day round or modified for weekdays. We'll see.
