If you are following protocol, added oils are not part of P2.

Like joflora, I too am fond of the hamburger and cabbage dish, it's quite filling, tastes great (if you like cabbage) and I don't stall on it.
Unlike Dawn, I stalled with the egg drop soup, I think but will be retesting that theory soon to be certain.

The food that I found that worked exceptionally well for me in both P2 & P3 was beef & onions in beef broth.

And as Peggy said earlier, OMG...I just had *the best* chicken & veggie stirfry...ever!

Check it out, on Sunday I had
Breakfast: Coffee w/ coconut oil or coconut creamer, a few macadamia nuts .
Lunch: Chicken & veggie stir fry w/low sodium terriyaki sauce
Dinner: Greek Yogurt w/coconut, blackberries & stevia 2 boiled eggs w/a sprinkle of salt.
Snack: 5-6 little SF Hershey Dark chocolates and water.

and woke up to a 1.4 lb loss.

On Monday I had
Breakfast: Coffee w/ coconut oil or coconut creamer, a few macadamia nuts .
Lunch: (Grab and Go) A slice of Swiss cheese and a few more macadamia nuts & Japanese Cherry Ice Tea
Dinner: Top sirloin & veggie stir fry w/ low sodium terriyaki sauce
Snack: 4 SF Hershey Dark chocolates and water

and I woke up to a 1.6 lb loss. That's 3 lbs in 2 days. I'm like, what the heck, I'm in P3D19.

So I'm -.02 my LDW and will be doing another round in 2-3 weeks. I'm really digging this P3 stuff ladies!

Stevie: I've too have seen that somewhere on these boards. I would eat what protein I felt like eating but I am inclined to mix it up, I like variety

Peggy: Chicken or beef broth is good for me, it does my body good. Of course, I didn't realize it until the last couple of weeks in my first R1

Not in the original protocol at all!!! Some have eaten the same thing day in and day out and gotten great results. Think chicken and tomatoes Bob has had great results doing that!! So has DeeDee.

Good morning ladies! Scale down -.4# today - not great but hey, I'll take it. TOM is looming and I'm crampy and CRABBY I just want to curl up in a ball under a blanket and sleep LOL!!!!

It doesn't say anywhere in the protocol to not eat the same foods twice in one day. You can pick from the available choices for both meals. Most people like variety so they switch it up. But some do just fine eating the same thing twice. HTH

I refer to that as the "Hard Lard". It took me an ENTIRE summer at
Weight Watchers to make it the last 2 lbs to lifetime goal. It sucked, to put it mildly. You will get there just be patient, stress makes you hold on to that hard lard!

Pretty happy with myself, just made my New Year's resolution and it has nothing to do with weight. I am going to get on a budget! Yes, a money diet per say. Althought DH and I have no debt other than our home mortgage we are purchasing my family's business from my parents and sometimes it is hard to save for pieces of paper that really have no worth in the real world. Stocks. We have 11 more to buy and I want to get it over with, sometimes my dad makes me feel bad that we don't have more money to buy stocks.

When I was growning up my dad saved 1/2 of every paycheck to buy stocks from my grandpa. So in return my family lived like total desitutes. But I am not bitter! Might I add he had enough money to visit the tavern every night but my mom had to worry about how to put enough food on the table to feed her 3 kids and get them all braces. Now, my parents are millionaires and I am very happy for them. I will also say they are VERY generous with their money. Last January they took the WHOLE family on an all expenses paid to Disneyworld! We had so much fun that my dad said he wanted to do it again in 2 years!

So being in the middle of that hardship growing up I see the positive outcome of hardwork and sacrifice. And that my friends is kind of like the scale. If we work hard at organizing our food, taking time for ourselves, drinking the water, we will see the results of our hard work.

Sorry for the long post. Have a blessed day!

Great post!!!

I bought Dave Ramsey's book The Total Money Makeover last year and it has been working wonders. The biggest thing we learned is that your biggest asset is your income and if it's mostly going to bills you're headed down the wrong path. We've paid a lot off using his snowball method. The book was worth every penny!!!!

My parents were the total opposite - spent every dime they had!!! But, we did go on great vacations and have wonderful Christmas'!!! Today they aren't millionaires but THOUSANDAIRES!!!!

Holding steady at 165.6, up 0.2 from yesterday. Guess the body is repositioning from losing weight. Today begins week 2 with a loss of 7.4lbs for the first week. I'm happy with those results.

Thanks for the book recommendation/review. We are not in debt, but *I* definitely need to watch my spending habits. I am putting us in the poor house while poor DH scrimps and does without. I mean 1 pair of shoes for him will last 5 years!! I get at least a new pair per season. Oh, and just the other day as he was getting out the last of the mayo in the jar he said "do we have any more?" I said, "You have got to be joking!!! I have stocked up big time. I bought them when they were buy one get one free and the very next week they went on a deeper sale price at Bi-Lo. We are stocked til summer!!" We may not take pricy vacations but my food is darned good!! LOL.

We are not frugal, but we are not big spenders. Heck we have 1 in college, one about to start college and 2 grandbabies to spoil, One that is 6 hours away to go visit. We don't scrimp, but we haven't had many family vacations, and those were to DH's family cabin on lake Wappapello in Missouri (they sold it a few years ago) I am not big on travel though so I haven't missed vacations at all. Just driving down to see DD1 and my grandson is about all the travel I can deal with LOL.

I love your analogy TLH! The only problem is that budgeting takes a family effort and dieting is a single player game. Even if you are surrounded by diet saboteurs if one is determine it can happen!

Anyway, I did drops yesterday and woke up to a -6 loss. Total loss of 18.6.
SO if I do not do drops today is LDW today or yesterday? I like that loss and would like to claim it, LOL, and I do have enough drops for today (I think) BUT yesterday was an unusual day in my eating patterns: I had an apple at about 10:30 but no lunch till 4pm and that was cottage cheese (I do have 2% I thought it was fatfree so YAy on 2% cottage cheese) and then just chicken, no veggies for a late supper about 7. And very bad about my water.

So I think today will be my last dosing day.
I know I am high maintenance and wishy washy:blush:

If you do NOT do the drops today then yesterday is your LDW. If you do dose today, then today is your LDW. It's the day of your last dose. If you take yesterday's weight as your LDW then you start P3 tomorrow (48 hours from your last dose). If you dose today/tonight then your P3 starts Friday. Good luck either way!!!

Gracie~ I wrote that post after purchasing the "Budgeting Bundle" from Dave Ramsey's web-site!!! I listen to him online at work daily! I bought the audio version so I can listen at work and DH can listen in the truck. One of our business sites is 3 hrs away and he makes round trips weekly. You can get a lot of listening done in 6 hrs!

Dawn~I am with you. I make the spending decisions more than he does. Kids clothes, activities, ect. He won't even get rid of clothes that he has had since we met 14 years ago! But if he wants a new $700 bow or $5,000 boat motor he has no problem spending money. Right now he wants a snowmobile.

Molly~ I hear that! I guess I just want to get a little more organized in my spending. Maybe being on a budget I will feel less guilty when I do spend cuz I know it is budgeted for. Does that make sense?

Oh yes for sure. I have tried to get everyone on board with budgeting and had it solidly trampled. Maybe this year I will just say Hells No, and take over the account.

Crampy and crabby here too. I did not weigh. I feel huge and bloated.

I think it was Kevin Trudeau who added that stupid rule. I eat the same thing lots of days.

Thanks ladies for the reply on the protein choices. I was not sure

Off to Bible study and a coffee brunch. I made hard boiled eggs and tea. Better the scones and coffee with sugar.lol

Dropped back to 142. Phew!

Congrats on the releases all. This plan works.

Have a great day.

I was MIA for a few days when life got busy and I had no time to get on the puter. This is typically a busy time of year for people. I am sure she will pop in when she can.

Me and DH signed with a credit counseling agency a year and a half ago and it has been amazing. In about 3 years we will be totally debt free besides our house, which we are hoping to sell

Eating lunch now. Shrimp stir fry. I'm hungry!

Stevie, my last 2 or 3 rounds of P2 I've eaten JUST chicken and have done well. My thoughts were, if I have to stay away from fats, I would eat chicken that has less fat the beef. Once I got to P3 I eat just Beef, and no chicken or very little. For P3 I go high fat.
