Up a pound. I was discouraged until I walked downstairs and 2 minutes later TOM showed up. That explains it! I just want to get to the 140's before Christmas. Hurry up and go TOM so we can get this show back on the road.

Yesterday's menu:
breakfast: coffee
lunch: hamburger patty, tomato, grissini
snack: apple
dinner: grilled steak, sliced tomato, grissini
Yep, he is to blame Stacey. You are doing great!

I've lost a total of 14.5 pounds (16 including loading) and although I was hoping for more, I am very happy to not have to wear my sweatpants and hooded sweatshirts anymore!! I am only doing a short round as I am ready to eat some yummy fats and more protein! But after my 6 week break I will be doing another short round to hopefully lose the last 10-15 pounds.

This protocol is pretty incredible; I have not cheated once and seem to have fairly stable losses. I have stalled for a couple days, but resume losing approx. 1/2 day. I did gain a pound yesterday, but 1/2 of it is gone today. I'm not worried though, everyone says that normal, just ride it out. You all are such an amazing support; I am happy to be here with you!

Ok on to my diet: it's pretty regular (and boring, haha) but that is one of the things I am learning in P3 -- to cook!!

8am -- apple, tea
11am -- vegetable (usually celery)
1pm -- chicken or shrimp (baked or boiled with lemon and pepper)
3pm -- vegetable (usually tomato)
6pm -- chicken or fish (same preparation)
sometimes an evening apple

See, boring! I do not eat the grissini or melba, and I've been feeling pretty great. I also drink 80-120 oz of water per day! Starting to feel a little more sluggish and a bit light-headed in the mornings the last few days but I can tough it out for a few more!

Good luck to all!!
Haley

Boring works Haley! Welcome

Chicken, cut up in chunks and pan seared in the juice of 1 lemon. Sprinkle of basil and some salt. Then add cubed apple. I got a lot of apple in this pan because I am using the biggest apples I could find at the market. Sear the apple in the pan with the chicken just a few minutes.

I put that in a bowl (and yes, it was almost an entirely full huge bowl of iceburg lettuce) and let it sit overnight. Just now for lunch I opened it, shook a generous amount of Franks Red Hot on it, closed it back up and shook it to mix it well. I ate it cold and that stuff was so good!! It was sweet and sour and spicy all at the same time. And I'm stuffed!!

This is probably not a new recipe, but I just wanted to share. You guys have shared so much with me the past couple of days I wanted to give back a little something
That sounds really good, but in the whole time I've been on hhcg, I have NEVER been able to be brave enough to eat my protein, veggie, AND fruit all at one time. I guess I'm too scared I'd be too dissapointed when snack time came.

The cabbage and beef thing is not that bad! I thought I wouldn't like cabbage.
(That is something I have never bought before and kept in the house)
Now its a staple.
Eating more veggies in my second round I am finding out that there is no hunger like I went through in the first round.

I tried a lame attempt at a crepe the other night. Used my 1 egg+3whites and 2 TBS of milk and sweetner. Then I used strawberries for filling. I would eat it again. It was pretty tasty for something different.

I used 1 whole egg + 3egg whites a few times. It was delicious in my egg drop soup!! It was a nice change of pace from chicken/fish every day.

And now I want to go and eat deviled eggs just from looking at your avatar!!!! LOL.

Dawn, do you use chicken broth a lot? I never have, but I could use something filling and warm. Egg drop soup sounds good, how do you make it?

The one round I did while sick I did chicken broth every day. Thank goodness it did not stall me. My body seems to be able to handle that sodium well I guess. My egg drop soup was super simple but yummy. I just heated up the cup or 2 of chicken broth, scrambled my eggs and poured it in slow so that the eggs wouldn't curdle (or whatever they do when you pour too fast!). Then I would let it simmer for just a bit. It was yummy and filling and great for when you are freezing. You can add any spice you want to it, hot sauce too. I added garlic and ground cayenne pepper because I was trying to fight off my cold.

We will see if I'm regretting it around 3, which is when the hunger demon would usually hit. I've been drinking tons of water and I'm going to go make me some hot tea here in a minute.

I think I will try that today. I know eggs don't stall me, and my chicken broth is low sodium. That ought to work. I read about everyone using Frank's hot sauce, but I am allergic to pepper. I could eat it, but I would suffer.

I had an internal hissy fit today because one of my apples was missing from the fruit basket. I know my dad took it to work, and I really can't get mad because I've been staying at my parents house rent free for the last 3 months. Still, I grabbed all my apples and put them in my room like some crazy gollum. My precious!

good on the weightloss you are very steady in your losses.

We are hosting our company Christmas party on Saturday. It was going to be potluck, but then the company came through with a nice budget. I was going to do all the shopping, but now our manager is going to go do it. I was a little nervous about that, only because it's my house and I am a control freak, but then I remembered, I am not eating any of it, so what do I care what she brings?? Let them eat whatever! I will make sure I have shrimp and veggies, but I am having wine. Probably regret it, but a gals got to have a little fun!

I highly recommend vodka for the occasional P2 indulgence! I got a nice 3 lb loss after my Saturday night filled with dancing and Mandarin Absolute Vodka and tonic! YMMV of course!

Have fun!

I doubt it was a lame attempt Anything to make this different works!!! Good for you for going outside the box. I wish I had the nerve to try something that different. I know metqa's french onion soup is the bomb and I am sure her other recipes are great too!!!

Mindfullness - I agree with you about being too scared to eat all of your protein, veggie and snack at one time! I am the same way, but it also works out because my schedule is more conducive to snacking anyhow. I feel pretty satisfied eating every few hours.

P3 on Friday! I'm super excited!! I've stocked up my house with yummy full fat dressings, condiments, artichokes, olives, etc -- things that I wouldn't dare touch before due to my "diet" mindset. Most of all, I am thrilled to be starting a lifestyle change that involves REAL food as opposed to fake diet crap.

Feeling very grateful -- Haley

I'm (terribly) sad to report that my beloved honeycrisps are no more...

I've been unusually hungry all the time during this round so after seeing someone else post about apples not agreeing with them, I decided to try a day with no apples.

My hunger is a lot more manageable and I seem to be losing better.

*sob*

I forgot, is it a suggestion or a rule to not eat the same type of protein each meal?

Anyone recall?

I thought it was a rule not to repeat any of the foods in a day, but when I went and looked again I couldn't find it in P&I.

It has worked for me though
