Sweeteners?

All of the different sweeteners have me dizzy. I'm confused, and unsure as to what to use for baking. My coffee is covered...as I use flavored Stevia drops (SweetLeaf). What I would like to know is: What is the BEST alternative in P3. I will be in P3 this week. I won't be using anything right away...but would like to bake some sort of goody for Christmas. Splenda? I have heard this could cause gains. Zsweet $$$$$$$ Stevia drops? Confusing...are they gross? And what do you do to make up for the lack of texture? Thanks!!!

I use mostly Splenda and Xylitol. I used them both in P2 and did fine. Just continued using them in P3 as well. You might just be fine with Splenda. Try it and see. I have liquid Splenda--it doesn't have the maltodextrin the packets and granular for baking, use for the missing bulk. That is what some people are sensitive to--the fillers they use for the bulking. What are you using in P2? In the Holiday recipe thread we have talked about the different alternatives. Check in that thread for more ideas!

I've been using a liquid Stevia that is really good, I don't think I can mention the brand though. I've used powdered Stevia in the past and it always had a bitter taste to it, this is great. And it comes in flavors like hazelnut, french vanilla, chocolate which is great in coffee.

I like the flavored drops (english toffee, yum), and the packets but the plain liquid stevia is really bitter to me...guess it's all about the person lol!
