I won't lie, I do have some hunger...but it's nothing unbearable. I think I could have loaded more, but I wasn't feeling great on those days due to PMS symptoms and a minor flu bug.

You can count me as one of the people that is skeptical about hhcg. However, at this point I don't care if it's pure placebo. I have been struggling with slow weight loss for so long and I just want it off.

The reason I picked this plan, over others is the protocol is defined and you get to move on to a "normal" eating plan later...and the testimonials on this site seem to show that fat is moving off of hard to lose areas.

Also, I appreciate the structure and simplicity.

I really need this to work!

I do too, the structure and simplicity really work for me. And I like that I can move into an area I know well (Low carb, No sugar No grains) and stabilize. I like how it stresses stabilizing. I truly think that will be a key part of keeping this weight off. Taking that time between rounds will allow my skin and muscles to adjust too.

I was skeptical as well but I have lost over 24 pounds since Oct. 15 with a 7 day break in between. I am really looking forward to being able to eat normal not just low carb all the time.

I also like the structure of P2 it is easy to follow, I will move slowly when I go to P3 so that I stay within my 2 pound window.

I think so as well, if we can stabilize then it makes it really easy to add new foods and not gain.

I have been eating my melba toast everyday so that my body knows it can have some grains and not gain.

Wheat does bad things to me just in general. It will be a very rare treat for me no matter what food plan I follow the rest of my life. It causes a lot of inflammatory issues for me, Increases my rosacia, flares my back pain and I even see a correlation with wheat and my sinus/ear infections.
and having said all of thet Bread/wheat is and probably always will be my favorite food. I am thinking about trying the ezekial bread when I get to P4.

Your very welcome!! I don't mind sharing what has worked for me. It might not work for you as each body IS different, but I am so happy to have found what works for me!!!! Now remember I have done it both ways and I totally recommend the "going slow" approach. After my 1st round, my tummy rebelled at whatever I put in it. I could not even handle the heavy whipping cream in my coffee!! LOL. Only happened at the end of round 1, though. Not any other round. You may have steak--that is perfectly acceptable as that is what Peggy ate for her first P3 meal, but I just wanted traditional breakfast fare. I missed my eggs so very much. There was time enough for steak when I had steak days. Steak doesn't have a great hold on me since I have done enough steak days to last for at least a year!!! LOL. You have done so well on P2 I am sure you P3 will be just as well!

I have done this plan and included the melba/grissini every single P2 day I have done. I may have skipped a serving for whatever reason but I have included it. I highly recommend everyone try it, but I know there are occasions to not include it--allergies being one!! I am glad you know your body well enough to not have it. My doctor thinks I have a celiac tendency and would prefer that I skip wheat and other variances of wheat too. I, however, have included the grissini because I didn't see any outward appearances of any harm. Now that I am done with P2 (and hopefully hcg altogether!!!) I will follow her instructions on diet!!! Well, at least some I told her my hands and knee get so swollen in the morning, but they get better as the day goes on. She said that was either a diary or sugar intolerance. Well, I cannot do without my cream in my coffee so I won't know anytime soon if that is the cause But if it ever gets worse at least I know what to cut out! Usually it is your favorites or your "can't do without" things that you are allergic to. It is such a bummer.

Lost & Found, you asked so here it is!! Here are the things I have done differently this round, versus other rounds I have done, that I believe has helped me with my P3.

#1. The first few days I have doubled the protein along with adding fats (such as butter and real salad dressing) at each meal and added eggs at breakfast. This was easy to do since I had leftover chicken portioned out. I knew that just 2 baggies was all I could have at lunch or dinner. Also kept in the 2 fruits--or at least tried to keep 1 in my day. After about 3 days I expanded from that and branched out into different meats.
2. I have not added in cheese OR nuts the entire first week. Usually after P2 cheese is all I can think about!! LOL. It was difficult knowing that it was "allowed" but I didn't want any gains from it. That included cream cheese. I have not had any cream cheese muffins this P3. After about 5 or 7 days I added in blocked cheese (the bar you can buy at the supermarket not the pre-shredded kind in the bags), only 1 oz at breakfast.
3. Another thing I encourage everyone is to keep up with the water intake. I still shoot for 4 32 oz cups, but usually only get in 3. But it really does help!!
4. Keep in the fruits you have been having on P2. I like grapefruit, apples and strawberries. Now that swtawberries are out of season and yucky at the store I have moved on to blueberries. They are great smothered with cream and SF whipped cream!!! And grapefruits are getting into season, so that means more affordable!!
5. In place of the cheese, for the first week, I have used sour cream and creme fraiche. They are great on top of steak and even eggs!! Upping the fats really helps too. I love heavy whipping cream or half and half in my coffee, avocados are wonderful on a salad, mayo is just divine in a chicken salad. So many good choices to get in the fat. Don't forget about coconut oil too!!! Love that!! Oh, and my favorite to bring to work for lunch/dinner is full fat Fage greek yogurt. Tastes great with berries and shredded coconut. Quick simple and easy to eat/transport.
6. With my hormonal issues I have gone back to all my "usual" supplements. And started on the Armour for my thyroid, which my doc says has actually gotten worse in the 2 years since she last did bloodwork. And I must confess that once I started adding in coconut water I have maintained pretty easily. I have sever issues with sodium--my body won't "hold onto the sodium" so that my adrenal fatigue has gotten worse. I was gaining every day, a little bit but knew that a steak day was inevitable. I added in coconut water and overnight 3 pounds disappeared. Now, I do believe that it had to do with my sodium and potassium depletion as evidenced by my lab work the doctor did. But am I happy I figured out the issue before needing a steak day!!! I will be continuing on the coconut water for a good long while!!
7. I start P4 tomorrow and only have had nuts on occasion. They are so easy to overeat, that I portion out just a few and throw them into my yogurt. I do NOT use them for snacks!!!! I have had nothing made from almond flour either. Don't want to chance it. I would stay away from flax meal or the seeds too until P4.

That is all I can think of for right now. Hope this helps!!!
I wonder about the flax because that is my substitute for eggs in recipes
What kinds of coconut water do you drink? I have seen a lot of different kinds so just wondering what to look for? 100% coconut water? Also what is creme fraiche? sweet? what's it compared to? thanks for all the pointers!

Flax binds and tends to hold onto water and is blamed for constipation unless you really up your water!!! I think you may need to up your water to whoosh Bernice along. Smooth move is just a crutch. The fiber just takes extra water to get it out of your system. I would hold off until P4 if I were you. Leave it off for a few days and see if you fare any better with stabilization

As for the coconut water, the grocery where I work, has 2 brands. I do prefer the O.N.E. over the other, which I believe is Vita Coco. The O.N.E is tastier to me. On the box it states "good source of electrolytes" as well as "100% coconut water". I get the one without any flavorings added. They have mango, pineapple but I don't want the added sugars. It is sort of like Gatorade, but more natural!! It does list sugars on the box, but it is natural from the coconut, not added sugars, so it is still good for you. And one other thing.....I stick to a serving size as stated on the box. Just 11 oz a day is all I get in.

The creme fraiche is sour cream, but not soured. My DH tried it and said it tasted like butter. You use it like you would sour cream, but it tastes great!!! I find it in one of my Publix supermarkets in the sour cream section, so I don't have it regularly, or as regularly as I would like!! I put it on my eggs that I scramble in butter and my meats (chicken, steaks....) which are also slathered in butter!!! I certainly don't fear the fats in P3

Have you tried herbal teas? There are a lot of really tasty flavors especially at the holidays. Today I had some Honey Chamomille Vanilla and it hit the spot! I've heard Bengal Spice and Sugar Cookie are good too. I don't think I could handle black coffee I drink 1-2 cups of coffee each day and I do put a little half-n-half in them  It has never effected my losses but YMMV.

ooooh my favorite is apple cinnamon...with stevia it tastes just like apple cider
I also tried black coffee and i couldn't hang...that alone almost made me quit within the first week. 2 days in and throughout I had SF vanilla creamer and a stevia packet every day...23lbs lost, could it have been more? maybe but at the loss of creamer
But the same saying goes "everybody's different"

I put 1/2 TBSP unsweetened cocoa, 3 drops chocolate stevia, and 6 drops English Toffee stevia into a 14 oz. travel mug of coffee. YUM!!! In fact, when I put cream into on P3 I found I didn't really like the cream. I suppose I might again now (I'm in P4), but why put it in if I like it without... leaves me the calories for something else during the day. I NEVER thought I'd like coffee without cream in it.

I need to check my Walmart for that flavor - my grocery store doesn't have it.

You could always use the half-n-half in your coffee and see if it causes you any problems. Dr. Simeons says only milk, no limit on the fat percentage but it is only a small amount. Like I said, I usually have a cup in the a.m. and one around 2 p.m., BOTH with some half-n-half.

It's okay, I will deal with the black coffee for now. I don't want to start mucking around already. I'm only a few days in. I might try the 1/2 and 1/2 on round 2.

Checking in rather late in the day....but it has been a good one. I was down another 1.5# this morning. I keep wanting to be so happy, but then get scared it will all come to a halt. Silly, I know.

Congrats to every body on their continuing losses!

I have to admit that I'm glad this day is coming to an end. I was pretty hungry, but I think it was also boredom. I wasn't working today so I had a lot of free time to think about food.
