Down 1 lbs. this morning! Off to work a 10 hour day, which is good, because I don't eat at work like I want to when I'm home. Too busy! Have a great day, everyone!

Lost & Found, you asked so here it is!! Here are the things I have done differently this round, versus other rounds I have done, that I believe has helped me with my P3.
#1. The first few days I have doubled the protein along with adding fats (such as butter and real salad dressing) at each meal and added eggs at breakfast. This was easy to do since I had leftover chicken portioned out. I knew that just 2 baggies was all I could have at lunch or dinner. Also kept in the 2 fruits--or at least tried to keep 1 in my day. After about 3 days I expanded from that and branched out into different meats. 2. I have not added in cheese OR nuts the entire first week. Usually after P2 cheese is all I can think about!! LOL. It was difficult knowing that it was "allowed" but I didn't want any gains from it. That included cream cheese. I have not had any cream cheese muffins this P3. After about 5 or 7 days I added in blocked cheese (the bar you can buy at the supermarket not the pre-shredded kind in the bags), only 1 oz at breakfast. 3. Another thing I encourage everyone is to keep up with the water intake. I still shoot for 4 32 oz cups, but usually only get in 3. But it really does help!! 4. Keep in the fruits you have been having on P2. I like grapefruit, apples and strawberries. Now that swtawberries are out of season and yucky at the store I have moved on to blueberries. They are great smothered with cream and SF whipped cream!!! And grapefruits are getting into season, so that means more affordable!! 5. In place of the cheese, for the first week, I have used sour cream and creme fraiche. They are great on top of steak and even eggs!! Upping the fats really helps too. I love heavy whipping cream or half and half in my coffee, avocados are wonderful on a salad, mayo is just divine in a chicken salad. So many good choices to get in the fat. Don't forget about coconut oil too!!! Love that!! Oh, and my favorite to bring to work for lunch/dinner is full fat Fage greek yogurt. Tastes great with berries and shredded coconut. Quick simple and easy to eat/transport. 6. With my hormonal issues I have gone back to all my "usual" supplements. And started on the Armour for my thyroid, which my doc says has actually gotten worse in the 2 years since she last did bloodwork. And I must confess that once I started adding in coconut water I have maintained pretty easily. I have sever issues with sodium--my body won't "hold onto the sodium" so that my adrenal fatigue has gotten worse. I was gaining every day, a little bit but knew that a steak day was inevitable. I added in coconut water and overnight 3 pounds disappeared. Now, I do believe that it had to do with my sodium and potassium depletion as evidenced by my lab work the doctor did. But am I happy I figured out the issue before needing a steak day!!! I will be continuing on the coconut water for a good long while!! 7. I start P4 tomorrow and only have had nuts on occasion. They are so easy to overeat, that I portion out just a few and throw them into my yogurt. I do NOT use them for snacks!!!! I have had nothing made from almond flour either. Don't want to chance it. I would stay away from flax meal or the seeds too until P4. That is all I can think of for right now. Hope this helps!!! Last edited by dawnyama; 11-30-2010 at 06:23 AM.. |

Thanks ladies!!! It sucks re-losing the same pounds but believe me I am very happy to have them coming back off. Hopefully I will learn a valuable lesson about stuffing, pies, sweet potatoe casserole, etc.

Today will be my last dosing day, and then for 2 days, no drops, but keep the same diet...then, no starch or sugar (P3)!!!!! Tomorrow's weight will be my set weight, as it will be my weight after my last dosing day. I know that this is not "Protocol," but...I, also, found it to be off when you count "Day 1" of your losing days to be the day after loading?
I hope that I am, atleast, .4 pounds lighter in the morning. That would make my (net) loss at 25 pounds!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Pre-load: 221 Post-Load: 223.4 R1P2 VLCD #4.: 196.4 Weight loss (post-load): 27.0 pounds Weight loss (pre-load): 24.6 virgin pounds...after 39 days of being on VLCDs Weight lost since yesterday: 2 pounds R1 goal: 197;or less ( !!!! Exceeded first goal, with .4 left to be where I REALLY want to end R1P2 with!!!! ) |

![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks, Dawn!!!! This was ALL very helpful. So, you kept your meat the same for the first couple of days...just more of it, and eggs? No steak in the morning for me...I guess!!!! I don't want to "undo" all of the LONG P2 days that I have put in!!!! Thanks soooo much for your input. Everyone's experiences are invaluable to me!!!! I think of ALL the things that I wouldn't know...had I done this on my own...and no book came with my drops. I would've never even known of Simeon's...let alone, all of the other things that I have learned from everyone here!!!!! I am VERY thankful for this forum, and my friends that I have made along the way here!!!! ![]() ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() I agree with Dawn's post on P3. Take it very slow the first week. I have jumped right in and ended up with some major tummy issues. Don't worry about the amounts of food - eat until you are satisfied, not full. If you want steak, by all means eat it! It won't hurt you. You want to slowly work your calories back up. I could eat 2500+ calories in P3 and have no weight change at all. That's the beauty of resetting the hypothalamus. Just follow the rules of no sugar/ no starch and stay within the 2 pound limit. Easy peasy - no stress allowed!!!!

WOW - that is great info Dawn! I hope you will keep it handy because I'm sure I will be asking for it in a month or so. I'm hoping to stick this out for 6 weeks but will first see how the first 3 weeks go.

Good morning!
Down 1.5 lbs. That puts me 1.2lbs below my preload weight. This is VLCD 3. I'm pleases, but I have been bouncing around this weight range for a long time, so I will celebrate when I'm 5lbs down from here. Last edited by toomuchbooty; 11-30-2010 at 09:12 AM.. |

Congrats to everyone! And welcome to the new folks! Yeah! You are in the right place for support and information.
I am happy to have lost a pound, getting closer to my LDW. Where's Stacy?! I ordered a back, sexy lingerie teddy and had to laugh because I too think we re-entered the honeymoon stage! LMAO! Going to make the French Onion Soup Dawn mentioned from the recipe link and I also wanna say that if you like tea, I bought "Gingerbread Spice" tea and it is so good with stevia. I hope the ingredients are not lying lol...just spices and tea. When I first started my P3, I did really well, using some of Dawns tips...and even traveling I did well. But for Thanksgiving, even tho I did not cheat once, I think all those Splenda recipes got the best of me. I also had wine 3 times in a week! lol - so I paid for it...probably shot up 7 pounds from LDW. So this next holiday, for just 2 days, I am going to be super careful. Christmas Eve we are having filet, salmon and lc coconut shrimp (dipped in egg, almond meal and sf coconut, fried in coconut oil. So darn good!) Then I am cycling back to P2 if I am not at goal. And for what it is worth, I walk every day. I will say the fast weight loss hurt my thighs. They are jiggly so in January, I hope to pick up a resistant training routine to try and firm those babies up! P2 food today: decaff with half/half ( I know, shame on me) A few cups of tea ( Decaf Chai, Gingerbread, Vanilla) P2 Chili French Onion Soup Shrimp sauted in Mrs Dash 1 baked apple with Stevia and Pumpkin Pie mix 2 liters of water - room temp!! Its cold baby! 30 minutes of walking |
